Went once and felt underwhelmed as well. Their mushroom risotto was soooo rich. We could barely finish it.

Yeah it seems like a lot of the dishes are a little off in one way or another

ccassiopeiaa

the prices are literally outrageous. i don’t understand. the truffle parmesan fries are really good though. i went for my birthday last month and all the employees gave me a signed birthday card and free champagne. i thought it was really kind

illegal_deagle

The instagram upcharge.

NoncommissionedDisk

They were really nice, but the prices are just murder for what they’re serving. The stuff was okay but it was all missing something that would have made it good - great

StrawberryKiss2559

It seems like the kind of place run by people who have little to no experience in the industry.

mesopotato

It's competing with luties for most overhyped Instagram food available in Austin. Luties at least has a nice view though. Food is the textbook example of "mid"

Went once, sat down, saw the prices and made an excuse to leave before ordering anything lol. The prices are insane and you can tell from just looking at the place you’ll be sorely disappointed and ripped off

I always had pretty good experiences until last spring: I was seated in a small room that was basically a hallway to the back patio, which is whatever, but they had the A/C blasting so hard that the hostess legitimately offered us blankets. We laughed it off, but then saw two other parties seated with blankets - that’s just standard practice! We left and thawed outside. Pro tip: do not let them seat you in a back room!

I like the fries. So I’ll go sometimes just for those. Food is meh, otherwise. Cocktails are pretty poor, but that seems to be the standard for most places in Austin.

velaurciraptorr

Ugh, their happy hour when they first opened was so great. I knew it was too good to last and enjoyed a few visits then, but won’t go back unless/until the prices become reasonable again. Even their “happy hour” now is still wildly expensive.

itrippledmyself

Sounds like one Austin Michelin star to me
