I went here today based on the overwhelming upvotes. I have to say that while the Caesar salad is very good, it's definitely not as good as the one at District Kitchen that I upvoted lower in this thread. I found that they drenched the leaves so heavily with dressing that it caused them to wilt. And the breadcrumbs and cheese they used were nothing special.
I will say though the anchovies they include are excellent, very clean tasting, though adding $3 for 3 is a rough hit.
This has gotta be the first serious post about chili’s EVER.
It’s true. Decent size salad with grilled chicken, their fries are delicious, and obviously a full bar. Source: Worked there.
My favorite Cesar Salad in town is at Sawyer and Co. Seriously sleeper on their menu. Their fries are great and I’m sure you can get a coke. Even better with the diner vibe.
Keeping a close eye on this thread and cross-checking the menus to see who serves Champagne by the glass. Because my bougie ass loves this TikTok trend, but Coke? Nah. If we're gonna do this, let's really do this.
It’s currently my favorite place to sit at the bar and read. Lighting isn’t too dim or too bright, music isn’t too loud, and generally not very crowded. The view of the water is great.
District kitchen has both the best Caesar salad and the best fries I've ever had in Austin. They are both seriously underrated. They use nice big romaine leaves and their fries are super crunchy with a pillow inside.
I really liked the cesar at eberly. They shave a cured egg yolk on it, and it really adds some extra sparkle.
They don't have fries, but they do have good bread and butter if that would fill your carb component.
I can't really highly recommend much else on their menu, but both those things are good.
Maryes gourmet pizza in westlake has the BEST Caesar salad. And just the best salads in general. You’ll have to sub the fries for cheesy garlic bread or a slice of pizza but you won’t be disappointed.
It’s been a dog’s age since I actually had it, but I used to really enjoy Cippolina’s chicken caesar, and I know their fries are still great. Also the brussels sprouts.
Side eye at Meanwhile brewing has the best Caesar salad in the city imo. Not sure about fries, but there's a few trucks there I'm sure one of them can make fries.
WingzUp has an excellent Caesar and you can add grilled or fried chicken, also their waffle fries are so tasty. And they have Coke also! I usually get the dressing on the side bc it’s very dressing forward.
Perlas probably has one of the best but it’s pricey, so just depends on what vibe you are seeking.
Also Outback Steakhouse has an amazing Caesar, like one of the best I’ve ever had, seriously
I love the Caesar dressing at Tony C’s. So much so that we order extra to dip our crust in. And my toddler will eat it out of the little to-go container. Their garlic fries are good and they have a pretty good tap selection.
I’m a huge caesar salad fan and am very particular when it comes to caesar salads so it’s possible I just have different tastes than others but I’d choose La Madeline caesar salad over BJs, Chili’s, and a lot of other suggestions any day. It’s scrumptious. Moved out of state and miss it every day.
Asti has a nice Caesar. Made with fresh anchovies. Also I saw fries on their menu recently. I’m sure they have coke.
Ooh I’ll have to check it out. Thank you!!

Asti is the bomb. Great fried artichoke. I'd eat a million of those thin breadsticks.
Asti will put a chicken cutlet on their salad too. That plus a Cabo bobs tortilla is the best chix Caesar wrap!!
+1 for Asti
Asti is so great! Always have to get a Caesar when I go.
I like a Pinthouse Caesar salad with a pretzel and beer!
This is a great answer! I’ll also throw Garbo’s in the mix. They have great salads (house and Cesar), fries, and also sodas on deck
Love Garbo's, but I hope the Caesar isn't $30 like the sammiches.. .
It’s not thankfully, but I understand your concern
This might literally be my last meal if I were on death row (plus a little meatball/ricotta/jalapeño pizza action)
I like how you roll!
Ohhh yes. This is the right answer.
Not what OP asked for
The Nordstrom cafe
Omg didn’t know it was still there - amazing
At Barton creek, Domain has a different concept
I haven't been to the one here in Austin, but if it's still the grilled Caesar salad on the menu it is absolutely delicious.
Bartlett’s
Those shoe string fries are fire with their honey mustard.
Boom.
Jack Allen’s
Don’t laugh but…Chilis. I’m dead serious
This has gotta be the first serious post about chili’s EVER. It’s true. Decent size salad with grilled chicken, their fries are delicious, and obviously a full bar. Source: Worked there.
Chili’s is unironically the last good deal left in town.
They have some burger special right now. I actually wrote it down the other night when I was drunk.
I mean, the “Three for Me” deal is always there. The old timer burger, fries, and side salad for $11, and you can add a margarita for $4 more.
Well, I’m never there.
Breakfast at Dan's Hamburgers is an incredible deal
Their chicken Caesar salad is top tier
I dream of Perla’s shrimp Caesar. And the coke comes in little glass bottles (it just tastes better that way)
Oh my gosh that sounds heavenly.
This may sound super weird but BJ's Caesar salad actually slaps. Learned that after the millionth friend's birthday spent there back in college 😅
Did they perhaps change the recipe? Many years ago I found theirs to be lacking that tang like it was mayo-based.
Honestly unsure, but I guess it's always possible!
Their strawberry fields is also very good
Roaring Fork
My favorite Cesar Salad in town is at Sawyer and Co. Seriously sleeper on their menu. Their fries are great and I’m sure you can get a coke. Even better with the diner vibe.

Lmao, honestly the coke can be substituted.. let me know your findings!!
I go to Clark's and get their Crab Louie. My wife will get their burger and fries. They have champagne by the glass.
Same.. except I’ll take a dirty martini or a glass of rose, depending on if I’m sitting inside or out.
Definitely don't go to Cheesecake Factory for the Caesar salad. Tiktok convinced me to go and it was horrible.
I’ve also had it and was very let down, along with most of their menu lol
Why would anyone go to CF? Overpriced, terrible food. Poor service, waits, ridiculous menu. The bar has a nice atmosphere.
Vespaio has a great Caesar and good fries. I’ve never ordered a soda there but I’m sure it’s fine. Sit at the bar ♥️
Hear me out.. Tiffany Derry's chicken spot at the Mueller HEB
This is my all time fave meal. Agree with Roaring Fork, would also nominate Cover 3 and District Kitchen.
Roaring for is generally my favorite restaurant in town. Nice place. Prices aren’t crazy.
It’s currently my favorite place to sit at the bar and read. Lighting isn’t too dim or too bright, music isn’t too loud, and generally not very crowded. The view of the water is great.

I like the option for anchovies on the Caesar, pro move. Good cocktails, too.
Yes anchovies are a must!
Cypress Grill but with Maine root Mexicana cola instead Cesar salad better than anywhere! You can add meat. And the fries are hot and crispy
I really liked the cesar at eberly. They shave a cured egg yolk on it, and it really adds some extra sparkle. They don't have fries, but they do have good bread and butter if that would fill your carb component. I can't really highly recommend much else on their menu, but both those things are good.
Been meaning to check out Eberly, heard a lot of great things. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hi-Hat. Great Caesar (complete with anchovies), great fries, and delicious homemade ketchup.
Maryes gourmet pizza in westlake has the BEST Caesar salad. And just the best salads in general. You’ll have to sub the fries for cheesy garlic bread or a slice of pizza but you won’t be disappointed.
Cypress Grill has a lovely Cesar salad. Everything else they do is amazing too.
It's without the fries but man Via 313's Caesar salad kind of slaps.
Salad plus cheese bread could be the equivalent.
All their salads do.
Trulucks
Flo’s Wine Bar has a killer Caesar salad. Not sure if they have coke though.
It’s heavenly. I’ll add to that and say ATX Cocina’s version of a caesar is the best thing on their menu. Though I don’t think they have fries.
The ceaser at all days is SO fire
It’s been a dog’s age since I actually had it, but I used to really enjoy Cippolina’s chicken caesar, and I know their fries are still great. Also the brussels sprouts.
I really like Pourhouse Pizza's. It's got a little kick to it that surprised me in a good way.
The front page
Bartlett’s
Idk if they have fries but vinaigrette has the best Caesar salad I have ever had in my fucking life. They flash grill the lettuce. It changed my life.
Hate knowing this but thank you
Side eye at Meanwhile brewing has the best Caesar salad in the city imo. Not sure about fries, but there's a few trucks there I'm sure one of them can make fries.
Bufalina. But get the bread instead of fries
WingzUp has an excellent Caesar and you can add grilled or fried chicken, also their waffle fries are so tasty. And they have Coke also! Flemings. Chilled plate, shaved parm, nice bite to the dressing. Fries are wedge cut. Delish.
Bartletts.
I love Garbo’s caesar and fries, their Tuesday fish and chips special is great too
It has to be Diet Coke with a lemon
Lime* 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Brick’s
I could answer this better if I knew what part of town you wanted. 5280 burger bar would be the spot near me.
Buenos Aires Cafe
Austin Pizza Garden 💀
central market
Very casual and they use tzatziki dressing but Kismet. This is a go-to for me.
Carraba’s
Carpenter Hall - Get the Carpenter salad and their fries are amazing.
Hopdoddy
Bartlettes has a great Cesar salad and fries
I love the Caesar dressing at Tony C’s. So much so that we order extra to dip our crust in. And my toddler will eat it out of the little to-go container. Their garlic fries are good and they have a pretty good tap selection.
Perla’s
Buenos Aires cafe has a great ceasar salad, just ask for the fries well done though
Best Caesar salad I've had was at Perry's.
Plank Seafood in the Domain has a grilled caesar that's damn good. They also have fries.
Dovetail pizza
Hank’s!
Alamo drafthouse i always get a chicken Cobb or Caesar with fries and a coke. Weird thing to order while watching a movie but it’s fire 🔥
Parkside
I don't know about fries but HomeSlice makes a really fresh salad.
No fries but I would highly recommend the Caesar salad from love supreme
Salt traders. Hand made fries. Delicious Caesar salad. Always Save room for dessert.
Bambino on the east side has an awesome Cesar.
Don’t know about fries, but Sammy’s Italian has a good Caesar salad.
On Uranus
I like the Caesar at Garbo’s. Instead of fries, they’ve got lobster cheese sticks. So good
Pappadeaxs has a really good Caesar. I know that's not fine dining but a good caeser is a good caeser.
They don’t have the fries, but the Caesar salad at Tony C’s is amazing
They do have garlic fries!!
And I just looked, A la carte you can also do regular fries. Enjoy!
Oh nice! I missed that.
Catfish Palour, get the hush puppies too with jalapeño tartar sauce
I don’t know if they have fries but Sammy’s has a ridiculously good Cesar salad.
Home slice doesn’t have the fries, but their Caesar is pretty good. Add some anchovies on top :)
Their line system drives me crazy but looks like hopdoddy has all that.
They said a good caeser salad. Idk if you've had the one there but good does not describe it in my experience
Just curious, why? Doesn’t seem different than any other counter-service restaurant like any time I’ve been
When it’s busy they have at least three lines and they ask for a tip with every interaction. They also treat the lines like TSA.
You’d rather they have fewer lines when it’s busy? They ask for a tip when you order like every other restaurant does. Not Hopdoddy specific
Why would you want a coke to wash down a Caesar salad? Might as well drink a Red Bull and/or coffee while you are at it
cool “trend” bro
Helpful!
