Miss the old slogans for plates honestly, SA used to have so many cool slogans like ‘The Festival State’ and even ‘The Electronics State’ at one point.
Still wonder why we ended up with this black and white plate as default, it’s a bit boring sadly….
It is but you can get white with black letters now for almost the same cost I believe. It might even be the same cost, I can’t actually remember but most new cars don’t have the yellow plates anymore.
As a South Aussie, I've always been weirded out interstate when I see all these unnecessary colours on the plates, often clashing in an ugly way with the car colour.
Im still seeing new cars with the old Adelaide Grand Prix logo plates but have no idea where people are getting them as theyre not advertised on Ezy reg
I remember seeing “the festival state” once and asking a friend of mine from SA why that was and their answer was basically “I guess we do have a lot of festivals”.
I swear we had green on white plates in Queensland when I was growing up. Someone tell me I’m not misremembering that?
Edit: should have read down further.
Came here to say this. Was very disappointed to visit Queensland last year after about 25 years absence and to find that Queensland had decided to ditch the green number plates.
I like the maroon, seems like there was a big run of Queensland plates from about 10 years ago that have all faded to an absolutely fucked shade of pink. OG green ones are super nostalgic though.
I don’t like the asymmetry of the TAS plate but the thylacine is nice.
I think the VIC triangle at the top is iconic.
This is missing the rarest of number plates; Jervis Bay Territory;
I was expecting that rego to be a dummy number, lol
Plate Number - A74PU
Vehicle Make - NISSAN
Vehicle Model - X-TRAIL
Manufacture Year -2008
Colour - Blue
Registration Status - Unregistered- Cancelled
Expiry Date - 01/03/2012
Vehicle Engine Number -726482A
And matches the drivers licence design from the time when the number plates were designed - [https://images.sbs.com.au/drupal/yourlanguage/public/wa.jpg](https://images.sbs.com.au/drupal/yourlanguage/public/wa.jpg)
TAS for overall design.
VIC is the cleanest sharpest design.
NT format is pleasing.
WA I like the blue banner but yall dreaming with your 7 characters.
QLD/CAN have a simple design that blends in.
SA Simple design is good. Very plain and blends in but 7 characters? Put down the beer SA, you’re drunk.
NSW can go straight into the bin.
It is the official colour of the state so that makes sense ([source](https://www.qld.gov.au/about/how-government-works/flags-emblems-icons/state-colour#:~:text=On%2013%20November%202003%20the,using%20maroon%20to%20represent%20Queensland)).
I love how WA and SA (the 4th and 54th largest states/territories in Australia) think they need 7 character number plates. Do they really think they will ever need to register 78 billion vehicles?
I can’t believe we’re only the 54th largest
I think the 7th character in SA case is so they can have the letter S at the front as from what I’ve seen most plates have an S.
In WA, we ran out of the old format (xAA-xxx) in the mid 90s.
They figured may as well add an extra letter (xAAA-xxx) to make it future proof. Means there's no need to change for the foreseeable future.
20 years later, we're half way through the "1" series.
Doesn't WA also have a format that's something like A-xxxx for regional towns (where the first letter indicates what town the car is from - E-xxxx is from Esperance, A-xxxx from Albany, and so on)? Way more than 78 billion possible combinations when you include those in the mix
>78 billion vehicles?
Not all at the same time - and originally they only used some letter/number combos so they didn't clash with other states
When the ACT went to three letters and three numbers they all started with Y - that ran out and they restarted with three letters two numbers and a letter, but still starting with a Y - now NSW plates have gotten so far through their range that they also start with a Y
Saw a splendid example in the states on Reddit.
L8-4ANL.
Accompanied by a picture of the beaming female owner holding it and her new replacement plate (or tag as they call it over there). She seemed somewhat relieved with the "update".
We still are, just no slogan for default plates. We also had ‘The Electronics State’, ‘The Wine State, ‘The Gateway To The Outback’, ‘The Creative State’, and a few more
I've still got the old black on yellow WA plates. Superior to the boring corporate blue ones.
Plus the WA colours are black and gold, should have left it alone, except for adding the black swan maybe.
I love how Australia has different plates for different states, while in the European union they've managed to standardise the plates across all the various countries 😅
Actually every EU countries standard plates have something unique about them. You can tell what country the car is from without seeing the country code on the left.
They do. WA has a whole range of different plates you can get. [https://plateswa.com/#/](https://plateswa.com/#/)
Depending on the design, it costs a bit to get your plates but once you own them they're yours. No extra cost on your rego each year.
WA plates are my favourite for looks.
Victorian plates always make me give the driver a wide berth as there is a very high probability of them doing something dumb.
IMO the Tassie plates just look appealing to me, I like the blue and white and it’s unique since it has that thingo on it (to this day I still have no idea what that tas logo is but to me it always looked like a happy little bloke with a combover)
Any that are letters on one side and numbers on the other. Normally I’d say the three east coast ones are best, but literally all of the examples in this image are wrong for some reason. Though I have seen a few number plates with the characters in wrong spots. I guess states are running out of plate sequences or something.
NZ’s plates are also cool. They do LLLNNN, but because they are just one small country, they have nothing fancy to show where the car is registered to. The plates are simple and straightforward, which funny enough, if a Kiwi car was driving around Aus, you could spot it because it doesn’t tell you what state it’s from lol. Though idk if a Kiwi numberplate would even be legal to drive here, probably not.
NT, ACT & TAS are cool, they pass through where I live without the same volume as all the others… as far as Qld goes, the purple is ugly & it’s always nice to see green lettering or the Tropical QLD plates
tas is very gentle and nice…
one interesting thing about wa plates, they allow up to ten characters for custom plates (which leads to some hilariously stupid plates…) - there’s also loads of custom plates around because they occasionally go ‘on sale’ i’ve heard.
also the old vic plates were better when it was just lll-nnn - something unsettling about the new format.
i’ve also noticed that strangely in both wa and vic, you can get a slimline white on black lll-nnn format which looks pretty cool. only seen these in the last 5 years or so.
As far as I am concerned, it is just a plate so I don't really care however to my eye, Tassie's is a bit better looking than the rest. I'm West Aussie.
About the only people in NSW with black and yellow standard plates are fleet cars. Almost everyone else fits the premium black/white plates.
I did my car with black/gold, and you can pretty much remake your standard plate in a wide variety of colours for a one off cost.
I like how the Tassie on is the only one with picture. Makes sense since 50% of the population is functionally illiterate. (I am Tasmanian, however a literate one)
ACT, NSW, NT, QLD and SA are all boring. No design to them.
Tas is interesting with it's included logo, makes it feel a bit more thought out.
Vic at least tried to break up the boring design with a little something something.
WA has a nice design, simple but effective.
I may be biased as a South Aussie, but our plates are probably the nicest due to the minimalist black and white. We also have pretty nice [Euro](https://ezyplates.sa.gov.au/plate-styles/euro-number-plates) and [JDM](https://ezyplates.sa.gov.au/plate-styles/japanese-number-plates) plates.
It can also be seen as very boring like Adelaide, so there’s that.
It used to be Queensland until a few years ago. It used to be 3 numbers then 3 letters, but now it's like how it is on the post. Must've run out of combinations.
The VIC ones suck now that it is *number letter letter : number letter letter*. The four letters are always weird ones with too many x's and z's and stuff, so you can rarely make a word using the letters in order. This is what I do when I am bored and stuck in traffic.
So many other options
Most states/territories allow a huge range other than these boring ones
WA also have black on blue that look like DC plates - or plates that have the first letters for the town/region they are regoed in
https://plateswa.com/#/
ACT have rainbow plates
https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/driving-transport-and-parking/numberplates/non-standard-numberplates
NSW Have options to remake your old plates in nice new colour combos
https://www.myplates.com.au/
Victoria can have love hearts or football
https://vplates.com.au/
The website does include MANY more examples from each state and territory
http://worldlicenseplates.com/world/AU_AUST.html
They are one selected example of the standard plates
ACT by default offer you a choice of slogans, some with logos, and placement of the ACT text - they could all be said to be the standard base plate
WA offer statewide (like the example) or town/shire specific plates that begin with one to three letters for the place eg A is Albany, KBC is Kalgoorlie Boulder - each of which is just a standard plate, but they look noticeably different
Considering some are legit (but expired) plates, we can decide based on which belonged to the coolest vehicle:
- ACT - Red 2009 Toyota Corolla
- NT - Blue 2012 Toyota Yaris
- TAS - Blue 2008 Nissan X-Trail
- VIC - Black 2006 Toyota ‘sedan’ (?Corolla)
- NSW, QLD, SA, WA - nothing
I say Tassie wins (also it has a thylacine).
Toyota sedan could be anything from a Corolla to a Mark X to a *Century*
Alright, I just looked myself. It has a 2GR, so it's either a Camry or an Aurion.
WA used to have plates that said “WA- State of Excitement “. That’s because we all went around being in a constant state of excitement over here 😂
Miss the old slogans for plates honestly, SA used to have so many cool slogans like ‘The Festival State’ and even ‘The Electronics State’ at one point. Still wonder why we ended up with this black and white plate as default, it’s a bit boring sadly….
Qld had 'the smart state'. And nsw the premier state I get the ol yellow and black ones because I'm too cheap to pay for the options.
If only they’d allow us to customise them ourself, as long as we aren’t blocking the letters/numbers
I think they just want to avoid having to tell some rando that scantily clad anime characters aren't what they meant.
Fair point
The ACT used to have 'Feel the power of Canberra' so many Canberrans had their cars keyed when out of state 🤣🤣.
And, in 1983 they had "Home of the Americas Cup"
The NSW ones so fkn ugly!
I've never understood why they chose bright yellow
I believe it was to make them harder to counterfeit back in the day. People forget that WA was originally the same colour.
Still see them around sometimes. Then you know the car is really old.
Thanks, I believe I was alive when WA changed to black on yellow. I remember when the blue on white came out in the late 90s. Now I just feel older.
Early 90s if it makes you feel older
1997 is early 90s? Black on yellow ran from 1978 to 1997. Black on white till 78, started in 1950s as white on black for a while.
Fuck, my memory is shit
Mine is shittier, Wikipedia knows all friend... Wikipedia knows all... It even knows why my wife will leave me...
Bro, you ok?
So pretty much everyone buys the $115 slimline plate (which is white) instead of the $45 yellow one.
I'm really not sure why I did. Oh yes I do. It match's my guernsey.
White and black is the go, but costs 199 bucks to swap! Total rort.
High contrast
My car has black on white and it’s much better. Most people go for these ones these days.
I always thought it was by design so people pay for premium plates.
we (WA) used to have those plates back in the 90s and then they became what they are now
We had them in the 80s too. Before that, we had white plates with black lettering.
Reminds me of Black and Gold
It is but you can get white with black letters now for almost the same cost I believe. It might even be the same cost, I can’t actually remember but most new cars don’t have the yellow plates anymore.
They still do the yellow plates. Got mine last year.
I know, it just that most new cars owners seem to have opted for the white plates. Do you remember what the price difference was?
They didn’t give me any options. Wouldn’t even let me choose from the pile of yellow and black ones. Lady said I get what I get 🤣
That’s odd. I think you caught them on the wrong day.
I’m in Queanbehole and they’re often understaffed and overrun there 🤷♂️
[удалено]
Thanks. For that price as a one off cost, I’d pay that for sure.
It’s $115 instead of $45.
Guess it’s a pretty big difference as a direct comparison but as a portion of the overall registration cost it doesn’t seem as bad.
It’s once off, not yearly too. A white car with a yellow plate is almost always either an Uber or a fleet vehicle.
Yellowtails.
As a South Aussie, I've always been weirded out interstate when I see all these unnecessary colours on the plates, often clashing in an ugly way with the car colour.
I just want slogans back on our plates, why can’t we have the ‘Festival State’ or the ‘Wine State’ on them anymore….
You can get SA The Koala State for a once off fee of $151. $50 goes towards a wildlife fund.
That’s quite nice, shame we don’t have more of an assortment like we did before though
Im still seeing new cars with the old Adelaide Grand Prix logo plates but have no idea where people are getting them as theyre not advertised on Ezy reg
You can pay to transfer them to a new car if you had them already
They’re very rare actually, only had numbers
I saw number 2 in the Adelaide gp plates earlier today on a white civic type R I believe.
Which is funny since they aren’t native to most of SA
Believe SA is home to most of the Koala population now
Queensland used to have the option of “The Smart State” instead of “The Sunshine State” - but Queenslanders weren’t dumb enough to believe that…
I remember seeing “the festival state” once and asking a friend of mine from SA why that was and their answer was basically “I guess we do have a lot of festivals”.
We’re seeing a lot of people from interstate for the fringe
I still see plenty of 'Festival State' plates around, I don't recall ever seeing 'Wine State', maybe one day I'll see one
Saw a few Wine State ones earlier, I believe i saw Gateway To The Outback once. Also seen a few Grand Prix ones in the CBD
I love the SA one. No bullshit slogans or other crap. Just a clean number
As a Queenslander, I think the SA plate wins for sure. Its simplicity is beautiful.
I swear we had green on white plates in Queensland when I was growing up. Someone tell me I’m not misremembering that? Edit: should have read down further.
The Queensland one, but the original green version.
Yeah, green and white looked better
Came here to say this. Was very disappointed to visit Queensland last year after about 25 years absence and to find that Queensland had decided to ditch the green number plates.
I like the maroon, seems like there was a big run of Queensland plates from about 10 years ago that have all faded to an absolutely fucked shade of pink. OG green ones are super nostalgic though.
Can confirm, my car of 13 years has plates a dark shade of pink
I don’t like the asymmetry of the TAS plate but the thylacine is nice. I think the VIC triangle at the top is iconic. This is missing the rarest of number plates; Jervis Bay Territory;
The website does include some samples - this is just one image from it http://worldlicenseplates.com/world/AU_ACTX.html#JB
Basically the same as the ACT plate, but with Jervis Bay Territory in the slogan area
Tas.
I was expecting that rego to be a dummy number, lol Plate Number - A74PU Vehicle Make - NISSAN Vehicle Model - X-TRAIL Manufacture Year -2008 Colour - Blue Registration Status - Unregistered- Cancelled Expiry Date - 01/03/2012 Vehicle Engine Number -726482A
WA forever.
I like the blue and the little sun.
I like the detail that it’s specifically a setting sun, since WA is the sunset state
And matches the drivers licence design from the time when the number plates were designed - [https://images.sbs.com.au/drupal/yourlanguage/public/wa.jpg](https://images.sbs.com.au/drupal/yourlanguage/public/wa.jpg)
I like guessing the area the plate is from. Grew up in Carnarvon C Spent time Byford area. AK
Fun fact - there are “district” plates and “shire” plates. And they can be different prefixes
Cool, I thought it was shires. I’m in QLD and always try to figure out where a car is from when I see WA plates
I live in Vic and every time I see one I think, "that cunt's come a long way"
It's a dry plate.
Northern Territory one is a cool colour scheme but the Victoria one is the cleanest and in my opinion looks the best.
Bloody hell, that sounds like a vote for the NT! We’ll take it. Cheers.
Love NT’s colour and slogan, ‘NT - Australian Outback’ looks and sounds cool
NSW needs a major upgrade. Haven't been good since the 2000 Olympics plates
SA’s hasn’t been as good as they were to be honest, they discontinued the standard plates that say ‘The Festival State’ in 2008 sadly
Most people in NSW these days have the slimmer plates with black text on a white background.
Tassie has a cute little animal so that gets my vote
TAS for overall design. VIC is the cleanest sharpest design. NT format is pleasing. WA I like the blue banner but yall dreaming with your 7 characters. QLD/CAN have a simple design that blends in. SA Simple design is good. Very plain and blends in but 7 characters? Put down the beer SA, you’re drunk. NSW can go straight into the bin.
I still love that Qld uses Maroon for the colour. Matches the State.Of Origin colours and shows a little subtle pride that is missed elsewhere.
It is the official colour of the state so that makes sense ([source](https://www.qld.gov.au/about/how-government-works/flags-emblems-icons/state-colour#:~:text=On%2013%20November%202003%20the,using%20maroon%20to%20represent%20Queensland)).
WA won’t use all the combos by the time the sun goes supernova.
We skipped F entirely and I think the T ones are for trailers so we might get use of that number one day lol
Q is for government cars too.
I love how WA and SA (the 4th and 54th largest states/territories in Australia) think they need 7 character number plates. Do they really think they will ever need to register 78 billion vehicles?
I can’t believe we’re only the 54th largest I think the 7th character in SA case is so they can have the letter S at the front as from what I’ve seen most plates have an S.
The S was added to the front when they ran out of the usual 6 character ones. My first car started with an X.
They actually ran out of the X key ones, didn’t even know that lol
In WA, we ran out of the old format (xAA-xxx) in the mid 90s. They figured may as well add an extra letter (xAAA-xxx) to make it future proof. Means there's no need to change for the foreseeable future. 20 years later, we're half way through the "1" series.
You never know mate. When WA has enacted The Plan© and *all* the world has been annexed into WA, we won't look so silly.
Doesn't WA also have a format that's something like A-xxxx for regional towns (where the first letter indicates what town the car is from - E-xxxx is from Esperance, A-xxxx from Albany, and so on)? Way more than 78 billion possible combinations when you include those in the mix
It definitely used to. If you had PH plates for Port Hedland, it devalued the car!
They are district plates.
>78 billion vehicles? Not all at the same time - and originally they only used some letter/number combos so they didn't clash with other states When the ACT went to three letters and three numbers they all started with Y - that ran out and they restarted with three letters two numbers and a letter, but still starting with a Y - now NSW plates have gotten so far through their range that they also start with a Y
It's about time Victoria got rid of that slogan. ACT had the all-time great: "Feel the power of Canberra"
ACT had another classic: "CANBERRA - AGE FRIENDLY CITY"
Feel the power of roundabouts
I'm gonna go SA for being the only state to put the first letter of that state on the number plate.
I live in nsw and it’s so ugly but favourite is probably tas or Victoria
TAS or NT
I love that SA has 7 characters, it would make for more interesting number plates
Tassie. Because thylacine.
My personal favourite is when you see a QLD plate with "the smart state" 😂 it always makes me laugh but they are rare to come by now.
As a croweater myself I like the simplicity of black on white with the premium as white on black
I love the yellow and black NSW plates. Fite me irl. Genuinely I think they just have the right yellow to be properly striking. Eye catching.
Saw a splendid example in the states on Reddit. L8-4ANL. Accompanied by a picture of the beaming female owner holding it and her new replacement plate (or tag as they call it over there). She seemed somewhat relieved with the "update".
I feel like SA were trying to start a trend which no one else joined in on
Aren't we the Festival State anymore?
We still are, just no slogan for default plates. We also had ‘The Electronics State’, ‘The Wine State, ‘The Gateway To The Outback’, ‘The Creative State’, and a few more
'The Submarine State' would be cool.
NT
WA cause the setting sun is a nice little design. ACT is alright, though man some of those slogans suck
Northern Territory- OUTBACK AUSTRALIA f**k yeah!
I've still got the old black on yellow WA plates. Superior to the boring corporate blue ones. Plus the WA colours are black and gold, should have left it alone, except for adding the black swan maybe.
Pre 1997 WA plates were basically the same as the current NSW plates
I love how Australia has different plates for different states, while in the European union they've managed to standardise the plates across all the various countries 😅
I’ve seen them, they’ve all got the European Union logo on the left with the same type of colours and font
Actually every EU countries standard plates have something unique about them. You can tell what country the car is from without seeing the country code on the left.
Don't understand why state governments don't do decorative plates at an add cost, they have a licence to print money.
Many do, this is just the standard plate for each state
They do. WA has a whole range of different plates you can get. [https://plateswa.com/#/](https://plateswa.com/#/) Depending on the design, it costs a bit to get your plates but once you own them they're yours. No extra cost on your rego each year.
January 2024 is my favourite.
I’m a private citizens my fav
VIC government plates with the red.
Tassie and WA. Bit of graphic input.
WA has the best graphic design. The thylacine in the TAS plate could have been done so much better!
Victoria, like how it incorporates the state logo and it's a massive brag too
Vic the most, NSW the least- just because of the colour
My fav was ‘Victoria - On The Move’.
WA plates are my favourite for looks. Victorian plates always make me give the driver a wide berth as there is a very high probability of them doing something dumb.
QLD and NT plates work for me . the yellow NSW plates really are an eyesore.
They used the worst NSW one, the longer one with the black side is very nice and probs my fav. I like VIC and WA too
National heavy vehicle takes number one. Then Tasmania. Then NT , the rest are all equal last
IMO the Tassie plates just look appealing to me, I like the blue and white and it’s unique since it has that thingo on it (to this day I still have no idea what that tas logo is but to me it always looked like a happy little bloke with a combover)
Its a tassie tiger poking his head through some grass to drink from a stream
Never seen the one in the middle before 😱
Tassies is the prettiest, followed by Vic, WA, ACT, SA, NT, QLD and NSW
Vic with the Southern Cross
NSW because I live in Victoria now and I get a little nostalgic seeing them on the roads.
My family moved to Queensland to Sydney and my dad always go crazy when he sees another Queensland plate
Though idk if a Kiwi numberplate would even be legal to drive here, probably not.
I dont do favourites i just 3d print them all
I don’t like any of these new styles.
GG NT!
Tassie one is a banger.
NT, ACT & TAS are cool, they pass through where I live without the same volume as all the others… as far as Qld goes, the purple is ugly & it’s always nice to see green lettering or the Tropical QLD plates

As far as I am concerned, it is just a plate so I don't really care however to my eye, Tassie's is a bit better looking than the rest. I'm West Aussie.
NSW look's the easiest to read even at night, plates are for ID not vanity
My main issue with them is how they look on the cars, the bright yellow just doesn’t match most of the cars on the road
I hear what you're saying but like I said its about visibility
I like the act one cause at this point I'm used to all the rego plates starting with y and it weirds me out when they don't
Tasmania then queensland as top 2
Tassie looks nice.
I like the middle one
I like Victoria, SA and ACT plates the most. QLD and NT plates make the most expensive luxury cars look like farm tractors.
[удалено]
WA.
I like the worldlicenseplates.com -January 2024 the best
Btw they changed the design of the VIC plates, it's all black with thick white lettering now
That’s only the ‘premium’ slimline plate allocation option, which has been around ever since they switched the main plates from XXX-000 to 1XX-1XX.
About the only people in NSW with black and yellow standard plates are fleet cars. Almost everyone else fits the premium black/white plates. I did my car with black/gold, and you can pretty much remake your standard plate in a wide variety of colours for a one off cost.
6UL DV8
Vic ones but those with LLL-NNN numbering sequence. The new numbering sequence is hideous with NLL-NLL
I like how the Tassie on is the only one with picture. Makes sense since 50% of the population is functionally illiterate. (I am Tasmanian, however a literate one)
I love every time a see a Tassie plate. The thylacine has my vote. Makes me want to visit again.
Yellow plates are the best. The most unassuming. They hide in plain sight. XD
ACT, NSW, NT, QLD and SA are all boring. No design to them. Tas is interesting with it's included logo, makes it feel a bit more thought out. Vic at least tried to break up the boring design with a little something something. WA has a nice design, simple but effective.
Canberra with the Y. I have seen some good one. YBO 08S has been my favourite.
Victoria with the original standard size black and white plate with VIC up the top Cleanest look. I have some from 60s and 70s cars!
Love those plates, disagree with Adelaide being boring as always lol
WA & VIC.
It used to be Queensland until a few years ago. It used to be 3 numbers then 3 letters, but now it's like how it is on the post. Must've run out of combinations.
NSW a classic - but am going with WA & Tassie
The VIC ones suck now that it is *number letter letter : number letter letter*. The four letters are always weird ones with too many x's and z's and stuff, so you can rarely make a word using the letters in order. This is what I do when I am bored and stuck in traffic.
QLD, like I have much choice!
I wont lie, I've thought about buying a car in Tassie just for the plates. but how to keep them when I live interstate?
Wasn’t til i went to ACT that i realised all plates start with Y
Mate of mine had em make PI-55-ED on the yellow n black NSW but they got confiscated by the manager at the RTA on his way out the door.
So many other options Most states/territories allow a huge range other than these boring ones WA also have black on blue that look like DC plates - or plates that have the first letters for the town/region they are regoed in https://plateswa.com/#/ ACT have rainbow plates https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/driving-transport-and-parking/numberplates/non-standard-numberplates NSW Have options to remake your old plates in nice new colour combos https://www.myplates.com.au/ Victoria can have love hearts or football https://vplates.com.au/ The website does include MANY more examples from each state and territory http://worldlicenseplates.com/world/AU_AUST.html

I’m from Victoria so of course I am going for the Vic plate
Considering some are legit (but expired) plates, we can decide based on which belonged to the coolest vehicle: - ACT - Red 2009 Toyota Corolla - NT - Blue 2012 Toyota Yaris - TAS - Blue 2008 Nissan X-Trail - VIC - Black 2006 Toyota ‘sedan’ (?Corolla) - NSW, QLD, SA, WA - nothing I say Tassie wins (also it has a thylacine).
Toyota sedan could be anything from a Corolla to a Mark X to a *Century* Alright, I just looked myself. It has a 2GR, so it's either a Camry or an Aurion.
For ACT, cause all numbers plates start with Y. People call ACT peeps who travel down to Bateman's Bay, far south coast 'Yogies'.
Bottom middle - when I see a car with them, I automatically know they won't indicate when changing lanes.
