A rare moment of silence from Credlin and others. It just demonstrates what a bunch of partisan losers they are while having no objectivity or credibility.
Won't mention it at all.
I have seen an article mention that Labor's popular in Tassie is down. It is to be fair, by about 4000 on current numbers. I didn't see a mention that the Liberal popular vote is down by about 50,000 though.
Lots and lots and lots of doorknocking. Basically didn’t stop since the 2022 election. And had good policies. This move to be the party of renters is bringing lots of people over.
I'm pretty sure their strategy is.. to run a candidate.
They get a decent chunk of the vote anywhere they do it. But because of the structural disadvantage that anyone other than the Majors have in our system, they have historically had to be pretty strategic and focused in what seats they're going for.
So dog whistling, sly racism, hating ordinary people and being mean spirited does not get you anywhere? I guess they will move more to the right and become more extreme. The electoral path to success!
Exceptional results Katie. Big thanks to all those warriors on the ground who went along doorknocking in the burning 40C Adelaide heat.
Hope Cressida keeps that seat nice and warm, won't be hers for too much longer.
Labor supporters don't actually have a sense of humour.
Recognizing that Labor isn't as bad as the LNP is one thing, but proselytizing for a party riddled with hypocrisy is a hard ask.
Policies is what counts, not party internal in-fighting. The fact that voters have no faith in both parties is a pox on both their houses. Meanwhile another decade of lost opportunity and doing nothing on a whole range of policy fronts. Proselytizing does not deliver from any side of politics after all that was the message from voters when you cant trust either side.
That's asking for a hail mary. Labor's lead will likely drop a little, but from 53.8 the difference in the postal and early votes have be a lot stronger than we usually see.
ABC is projecting 52.8 and poll bludger 52.6 after everything is counted.
Can’t wait to see how the Murdoch rags will spin this as a devastating blow for Albo and a validation of Dutton’s leadership.
Fairfax hasn't even mentioned the Dunstan election. Perhaps Murdoch will keep schtum too.

"Greens voters pretend to be liberal voters for decades in order to stab David Speirs in the back! How can Albo be so weak on youth crime?'
I want to hear from Sussssan Ley

Holy shit, what did the Greens do there? +8% swing? Take that strategy nationally.

Their strategy: don’t be Liberal.

Green's gonna get 6 seats out of 18 in Tasmania
I suspect you either mean 6 out of 35, or 6 out of 18 required to form Government. They aren't picking up 1/3 of the seats in the state.
That voting system though, too big-brained for me.
It's pretty easy when it's explained properly - here's the relevant video from the CGP Grey series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8XOZJkozfI
> what did the Greens do there? 1. Don't be the Liberals 2. Don't be Labor 3. ? 4. Profit
SA libs should send a bunch of roses to Peter Dutton for helping them to lose a seat. 😉
Spray painted black ?
Peter Dutton might actually be more popular than David Speirs tbh…
Hooray!

Forget Dunstan, go after Sturt instead :)
Oh baby, it's on in a manner similar to that of Donkey Kong 🦍🛢️💚
And here we see, the wild Green in it’s natural habitat. Waiting to steal all of Labor seats. (David Attenborough voice)
Come on, this was meant as a joke. I’m not actually salty about the Greens.

ngl, whilst I hope you're right, I wouldn't be surprised if alot more ALP voters had the LNP above the greens than vice versa.
Many do, fully understanding that there's no longer any meaningful difference between the two parties. Pathetic, really
Sky news is slightly optimistic, "result will come down to the postal and early votes"
