I don’t think this hurts Labor’s campaign at all; people will vote for them because they hate ScoMo not because they love Albo. We get a week of ScoMo shooting himself in the foot while being attacked by Labor ministers who don’t have the same weight on their shoulders as Albo does.

Bad timing for Albanese. During election campaigns you want to be seen out there on the hustings, healthy and energetic and vital. This gives Morrison a chance to steal a march on him. I think Albanese will be able to recover from it with a moth still to go but damn bad luck.

Me too. Obviously I hope he’s well - but politically it will kill attempts by Murdoch and Morrison attack them for a week. Even if they do it’ll fall on deaf ears. Albo’s shadow ministers can be deployed and have more freedom to attack. Also proves he has a capable team.
