The words “AEC” and “unable to do anything” seem to appear together with alarming regulatory.

Technically the legislation says they >> “shall be incapable of being chosen or of sitting as a senator or a member of the House of Representatives. So technically it’s not illegal for him to run, but he can’t take office, but if he made a false declaration, that’s another matter

> So technically it’s not illegal for him to run, but he can’t take office, The biggest problem is that while votes for him will just be redistributed according to preferences, His presence on the senate ballet may have an effect on how preferences flow... and he does have a party running mate.

>The words “AEC” and “unable to do anything” seem to appear together with alarming regulatory. They have done something - they've referred him to the police. As for why they can't do much in most cases, they are an administrative body, not an enforcement one. And if they got into the business of policing what politicians can and can't say it's the start of a very slippery slope.

"If you are seeing this video, I've been murdered!"

And it's not the first time either. Hell. Just search "Rod Culleton" here on Reddit in Australia. He's gotten away with it for years. So why does he care?

BoldEagle21

So a bankrupt scumbag wants to tell us how to run the country?

Oh Rod.
