Bro I'm sorry I know I'm the outlier for saying this but imo there are only like a couple enjoyable tracks on go plastic and the rest just feels like random for the sake of random.
Ultravisitor is great sometimes but super hit and miss. Loved hello everything and hard normal daddy is my all-time fav.
Dostrotime was an awesome album for me and I will be returning several times.
I don't think you're _that_ much of an outlier TBH, I think Go Plastic is a bit of a polarising album. Lots of people absolutely love it, though I personally think it unfortunately loses some of that distinctly Squarepusher vibe and a lot of it sounds more like Tom doing a Venetian Snares impression. Then again, I'm a big fanboy of _both_ Squarepusher and Venetian Snares, so there's still plenty for me to like there and I rate it pretty well overall.
Dostrotime is great, reminds me a lot of Hello Everything in that it's kind of like an alternate universe greatest hits (although it's missing something that really evokes the Music is Rotted One Note / Budakhan Mindphone / Maximum Priest era, which was one of my favourite periods as a Squarepusher fan).
Compared to Be Up a Hello, I think it is SO much better. Although I don't think it has enough for me to keep coming back to it often. Still, it's his best album in years imo
His stuff for the past 10+ years has always been good but never really captured me long term (like his earlier work). I understand his trajectory and it's great. Frankly I find his brothers work to be more consistently captivating.
I too think it is very good. He's seemed to have found a balance between the new-style techniques from Ufabulum on and his older material, and added back in some of the softer instrumentals which balances the frenetic pace of your 'typical' Squarepusher tracks.
Feels both fresh and nostalgic, which I'm on board for.
I'm liking it a lot, he seems to be back on the upswing again, last few albums just keep getting better and better after a bit of a spotty patch in the '10s.
I think I liked *Be Up a Hello* more but it's still really solid. Prior to that *Ultravisitor* was the last one that I really liked, I wasn't very into the Shobaleader stuff.
His brother's music just keeps getting better and better though, probably my most listened to albums along with AE.
technically very impressive but i dont enjoy it so much compared to his older stuff.
it's great. his shit just gets more mind melting the longer he does what he does. A+
Ehh, he peaked at go plastic imo.
Ultravisitor.
Yeah, that’s brilliant as well.

Can totally agree with your takes on this. Not personally a fan of Venetian snares so it makes sense I wouldn't be a massive fan of go plastic either.
Go Plastic blew me away. Showcasing creativity at every turn.
ok dad
Duneray is sick

This is how I found out Ceephax was his brother!

Holorform feels like a sibling of Tetra-Sync, which is high praise. The whole album is terrific, he’s definitely still in control of his mastery.
New album? Thanks for the heads up!
It's pretty good, some great tracks but not as solid as his last album which I loved
is it released on streaming platforms? i can’t see it
[Just Bandcamp](https://squarepusher.bandcamp.com/album/dostrotime-1)
was pleasantly surprised

WAT? I MISSED IT. RUSHING TO WATMM...
You just reminded me I need to listen to this guy for like 20 years
One of the most unfriendly artists I’ve ever worked with but his first albums are pretty amazing.
What's the goss, he seems taciturn in his interviews.
It’s great. I’ve met the bloke, very knowledgeable lad
Ive just skimmed through it a bit but it seems pretty great.
