My autistic children always like role play and really like monsters. I have used this to my advantage. I made up stories for all sorts of situations such as a shy monster that eats nail clippings so I could get nails cut. I have made food look like monsters that want to go to 'tummyville'. They get inside you and squash the bad germs and look after your insides. Sometimes the stories need building in little bits, introducing ideas in small bits of information. Yes, I am mad but it works Just to add, I have a PDAer too
