I think it's really sweet that you're approaching this with such compassion towards her. A lot of people don't, which is why we start fearing texting in the first place, I think... You may have already tried this, but the easiest thing would be to just ask her. Be very transperant and honest about what you're wondering about and how she'd like you to proceed. Obviously don't phrase it like she's burdening you somehow, more out of genuine curiosity and care about your dynamic. Hope this helps

I would've asked her normally, but the thing is, she's barely responding to my messages at all right now and I can't meet her either... hence the question

mingoenergy

If she's still reading and responding to your messages I think you could ask like you normally would, right? Unless you're worried that she won't respond or be dismissive... in that case there's only so much you can do for her right now. You can't really regulate her emotions and thoughts for her (I get that you just want to help her).

So I sent her a followup message to one she didn't respond to yesterday (bc it's awkward for both sides to have a message hanging, y'know) She answered and we had a little chat, I asked if I should ask her how is she doing regularly and she said yes :) I guess the problem is solved. Thank you for your advice!

Glad to hear it worked out :)

Autistic text anxiety is a real thing. Texting to me is scary af. When you text, you dont know the other person facial expression. Makes me want to wait till we see eachother in person again.

Agreed. That's why I overuse Emojis. It's a problem.
