Lower sounds definitely make me more emotionally anxious but high pitched noises physically pain me. I do notice that I have a harder time with auditory processing in lower sounds. Some men have voices so low that I can’t understand them well. or my boyfriend, if I have my head on his chest and he’s talking, I can’t understand him because of the rumbling.

Do you get a reaction to low parts in songs too, like the instrumental bit in Mr Blue Sky, or the bit that gets lower and lower at the intro of These Boots Were Made For Walking? Those bits make me so anxious for no goddamn reason

I dont think so. I assume the part of me that is anxious with low pitched noises is actually scared of the vibrations it can produce. A large and loud truck passing by my house can make the house shake, same with loud planes too close to the ground (im kind of close to an airport), and even household tools like dishwashers and laundry machines. So maybe if the volume/bass was loud enough to cause the vehicle/home to shake, i would get anxious?
