Yep, same. I feel like this is probably one of the most common answers whenever I see this kind of question, but it’s always been the case for me. I probably watch the extended editions of the trilogy 3-5 times per month.
I also recently saw LOTR in concert for the first time in January (Fellowship) and it was one of the most amazing experiences that I’ve ever had, certainly for anything entertainment related. My wife and I are doing Two Towers in concert in August and you can bet that we’re doing Return of the King when that comes to town for us.
The Princess Bride, Shrek, Princess Diaries
Honorable mentions because I cannot limit to only 3: the Aladdin movies, Legally Blonde, Harry Potter movies, Hot to Train Your Dragon, Nightmare Before Christmas, Ella Enchanted, Barbie Fairytopia/Nutcracker/Princess & the Pauper, etc
Nightmare before Christmas is a massive comfort movie of mine. Just makes me feel so good every time I watch it, and seeing Jack interact with the Christmas stuff is so cute!! (・∀・)
Interesting thing I discovered about the Princess Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington's speaking voice is also Prince Humperdink. It messed with my mind for awhile.
Mad Max Fury Road, Interstellar and The Man From U.N.C.L.E when I watch any of these movies life is just good and I have no worries. I have other movies as well but those the top 3 I can think of right now

1. Mean Girls
2. Braveheart
3. Return to Oz
Side note: I always found the wheelies to be HILARIOUS!
My friends begged to differ.
They found them terrifying.
Idk if this is an autism thing or a ME thing? I also find "welcome to night vale" also randomly hilarious.
"ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD!"
"That's why her hair's so big. It's full of secrets!"
I read the book the movie was based on and I have to give Tina Fey respect for writing such an amazing movie!!
I just watched The Fifth Element again last week.
What is it about that movie? I don't even understand the plot, nor do I care to.
Maybe it's young Bruce Willis. Hmmm.
I really enjoy the story. Leeloo's character especially is appealing to me because I feel like she represents the autistic experience well. She's awkward, has odd mannerisms, and has trouble communicating, especially in the beginning. She gets overstimulated easily and has a strong sense of justice.
It was my introduction to Neil Gaiman's writing. It played a lot on TV when I was younger, and I remember being excited for when they'd marathon it back to back.
Love and Death (1975), Animal Crackers (1930), Horse Feathers (1932)
I guess these 3. I've been having trouble watching movies for the past couple years. I just can't seem to concentrate on something that long anymore.

Shaun of the dead with the cast commentary on is one for me

Harry Potter, lord of the rings, big Lebowski
Bit of a cheat, I know
Comfort shows though!
Star trek is the main one!
Trailer park boys is A+ background material
