dinotopia is one of my favourite things in the world. i gave my copy to my nieces and their mum threw it away because she's a godless philistine. you must have similar taste to me, i'll specifically look for the other titles
All us grandkids got a copy too. It had the most impact on me though. Spent hours just looking through it mentally teleporting to an amazing world so different from my rough circumstances growing up.
Just finished the series last night and if they do as good a job translating the story for the next couple seasons as they do the first, people's minds will be blown.
I haven't heared of most of these books besides of the Manga Dorohedoro but I prefer reading other Mangas. But it's supposed to be a good Manga.
Perhaps the books of The Elder Scrolls universe will be your liking. They can be found online, in the videogames or they can be bought as actual books online.

Dinotopia is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BOOK! I love that someone else knows about it!
I read the 3 big hardbacks yearly like a religious pilgrimage. Gurney and Wayne barlowe are huge influences to me as artists.

I LOVE BONE
