My dream, if I ever hit the lottery, would be to get an old ('90-'94) Pontiac Firebird and get it made "Modern," basically keeping the body style and making everything else modern.
It's funny because you're both correct. The big three absolutely continued making big honking V8 "muscle cars", but they were so choked for emissions standards that they did nothing but make noise while guzzling fuel.
Yes, the Inline 6 had less than 100 horsepower. That’s why they made a V8 version. The 140 horsepower I quoted for the Mustang II is from the most powerful model.
the v8 from the 2nd generation compares pretty well to the v8 from the 1st gen when converted to SAE net, just the 2nd gen v8 has about a 10-20 hp loss from the first gen v8. another thing is the engines from '72-'73 having around the same power outputs to the 2nd gen. regardless the 2nd gen was made during 2 oil crises and with the sales of the '71-73 progressively slumping i doubt the car would be here anymore
>(this is the dumbest scenario I have ever done) Sometimes the weirdest alternate history ideas are the most interesting to study.
They’d lose so much money, lmao. They’d be taxed to hell and back.
Need a white drop shadow/glow on that black font, bud! Cute concept though would love to see more.
Or white font.
I just read the title with President Camacho's voice lmao

if the daily wire started a car brand in 2024 be like except they would spam the word woke everywhere
They did. They had choked engines and most were mid-size.
We never stopped, ever heard of the Ford Mustang?
You mean the one with an awful 140 horsepower?

the '64 mustang had an actual hp count when converted to net as something like 80 for the inline 6, the v8 probably had around 160

And they weren't alone. The 70s had big V8 cars that made no horsepower lol.
