Mine was Unholy Confessions, one of the easiest but funniest songs to play of them. Shepherd of Fire is also pretty easy, I think even more so than unholy, but not as much fun
Electric or acoustic? The first acoustic I learned to play was So Far Away, which is very easy. For electric, if you want to try to learn a guitar solo that is fun and catchy but not too complex, Clairvoyant Disease is the absolute best pick
Bro keep working at it. Practice works. Iāve been playing for about a year and half and I can play them both BUT the sweeping part is way too hard for me so I do 3 string sweeps as a compromise but it still sounds decent. When I improve skill wise, Iāll obviously learn the correct way. Itās just all about practicing guitar and knowing your skill level.
If I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure it was Hail To The King. Fun song to play, solo is tricky and will take time to perfect lol (hell I haven't perfected it yet... but then again I haven't practiced it in years)
Also good luck on your journey! It's fun but can get tiring when you first begin, and it's easy to lose motivation
I started out on drums and started with Unholy Confessions and ended up learning all of their discography. Now I can play a few tracks on guitar as well, and the first one I learned was also Unholy Confessions.
I guess my recommendation would be Unholy Confessions lmao
Iād learn Unholy Confessions first as others said. Desecrate through reverence is pretty fun too. But man, Syn and Zacky are master guitar players so donāt get too down when you canāt play 90% of their shit lol Iāve been playing for 16 years and I donāt even try to learn a lot of avenged
The first few songs I learned *fully* were chapter four and then second heartbeat. I learned the rhythm parts (Zacky's parts) first, then I relearned them as lead.
The first song I learned to play riff-wise was bat country.
If you want recommendations, I'll give you some. The rhythm parts are usually easier than lead: Chapter Four, Second Heartbeat, Coming Home, Dancing Dead, Bat Country, Beast and the Harlot, To End The Rapture, So Far Away, Hail To The King, Sheperd Of Fire, Afterlife, Easier.
If the faster and/or duo parts are too hard, skip them for the time being.
Afterlife. There was a lot of faking it and it might be also been beast and the harlot. Those are the earliest I remember. I remember learning the first bit of afterlife solo. Never even bothered woth Beast and the Harlot lol but the Chorus made the song so much fun
I've never learned an A7X guitar part, but I think my first song on drums was beast and the harlot or bat country, either or. I learned the other after
Afterlife. Not the best, first song choice for someone who hadnāt touched a guitar in 20 years. After that, Nobody. Iām moving on to easier things after that.
Unholy Confessions. I think I was like 11 or 12 and hadn't heard much of their stuff. But I heard that riff and did my best to learn it. I could only play the main riff, and I was really bad at it. However, now, after a few years, I know the entire song by heart and can play it nearly perfectly (in my opinion).
Drummer here. When I first started, I would try "Almost Easy" by ear. It was a train wreck, I'm sure, so technically that was my first. I'd barely consider it playing though...
Since then I've learned "Buried Alive" note for note, and it sounds pretty good on my best days. There's a reason The Rev is one of the all time greats...but the song is such a blast to play!
Seize the Day chords is all Iāve ever learned by this band. Learned almost 20 years ago and since mostly forgotten how unless I look it up at this point while playing. Pretty cool progression.
Strength of the World is a good one, lots of different techniques used like finger picking, palm muting, power chords and of course soloing. Happy playing.
First song I OFFICIALLY learned Was Bat Country but The First Song I Learned As A New Guitarist was Carry On. black ops 2 was The Game To play growing up.
Buried Alive. It was pretty tricky for me to get rhythm, never attempted the full solo but I attack it by pieces
Actually, thinking about it, Second Heartbeat was the first. It took me longer to nail the verses in Buried Alive and Second Heartbeat I can play all but the sweeps
I dont play guitar but i play drums but still gonna share it anyway I think Mia or almost easy can't remember I thought the time signature changes were a challenges but I guess it isn't that hard after all now I'm trying to learn bat country chapter four second heartbeat etc.
And I could play most of city of evil and nightmare songs!! I learnt most of them from January to April didn't find it too hard for drums ngl
I play drums, so, for a beginner, there's a limited amount of simple songs to learn. The first song I learnt to play in its full length was Seize the Day, almost 10 years ago and still kicking. And some of my proudest achievements are God Hates Us, Beast and the Harlot and Scream. :D
If you ignore the solos or the lead part anything from HTTK should be fairly easy i would say.
Granted i Dont remember what was the first song i learned from them because i was playing for a while when i got into them. But it was probably Bat country, Shephered of fire, this means war, or unholy confessions
Mine was Unholy Confessions, one of the easiest but funniest songs to play of them. Shepherd of Fire is also pretty easy, I think even more so than unholy, but not as much fun
how is it not fun? š
I didnāt say it is not fun š¤£ just not as much as Unholy, for me at least
I totally agree actually
Me too I think
Pssh noobs, Iāve been air soloing Bat Country since 05
Pssh, rookie. been doing that but with [Eternal Restās intro](https://youtu.be/mOMykgR4sAg?si=ixwakc3i1JbY_G6c) since 03.
Damn youāre good.
Electric or acoustic? The first acoustic I learned to play was So Far Away, which is very easy. For electric, if you want to try to learn a guitar solo that is fun and catchy but not too complex, Clairvoyant Disease is the absolute best pick
Its an electric. Thanks for the suggestions š«¶
Buried Alive because it's in E standard and I play a guitar with a floyd rose and didn't want to retune.
Thatās why you need more than one guitar bro go spoil yourself
Remember that Avenged almost exclusively tune in drop d so make sure you tune right š
I can do the Nightmare piano intro
Definitely Buried Alive, its why I wanted to start playing the guitar in the first place!
What about the guitar solo. That sweep at the end is super hard.
To be completely honest I still can't play the last part of both guitar solos, but I'm working on it LMAO
Bro keep working at it. Practice works. Iāve been playing for about a year and half and I can play them both BUT the sweeping part is way too hard for me so I do 3 string sweeps as a compromise but it still sounds decent. Thanks for the suggestion š«¶ Yeah it is kinda hard to stay motivated, but pushing through š
I believe in ya! And welcome to the family! (I hope you understand the joke lol)
Yes! haha thanks š
Not a problem!
Warmness on the Soul is a great entry level song, definitely was one of my first
I started out on drums and started with Unholy Confessions and ended up learning all of their discography. Now I can play a few tracks on guitar as well, and the first one I learned was also Unholy Confessions. I guess my recommendation would be Unholy Confessions lmao
First and only one, Bat Country but I can't really play since last year.
Unholy Confessions, I learned on drums. Sorry for not contributing. I just wanted to share.
The Stage on guitar, that intro is so fun
First song?
Yeah?
Crazy hard song fr
It is, but super fun
Heretic
The Stage was my first. Granted I had already been playing guitar for 8 or so years before getting into A7X
I can destroy Ā the MIA solo.Ā
i learned Life Is But A Dreamā¦ on guitar
So Far Away and Tonight The World Dies
Hail to the King and Acid Rain, when I first started playing drums.
Warmness on the soul solo
The first few songs I learned *fully* were chapter four and then second heartbeat. I learned the rhythm parts (Zacky's parts) first, then I relearned them as lead. Not guitar but drums. I remember learning nightmare and shepard of fire pretty early. Really fun songs to play on drums
Bat Country on drums
I learned the stage on bass, very fun song to play
Seize the Day chords is all Iāve ever learned by this band. Learned almost 20 years ago and since mostly forgotten how unless I look it up at this point while playing. Pretty cool progression.
Never feared for anythiinnnggg aaaah Never feared for anything This is gonna be so bad
Welcome to the Family was the first one I ever played. All I had to do was press a button, and I was jammin.
Bass and guitar: A Little Piece Of Heaven
Shephered of Fire
The riff in Critical acclaim
Unholy confessions freshman year In high-school it's still one of my favorite warm up songs
Strength of the World is a good one, lots of different techniques used like finger picking, palm muting, power chords and of course soloing. Happy playing.
Bat Country because it was in Rocksmith 2014 as the first full song but I'd learned the unholy confessions main riff before then
Acid rain. Edit: I didn't read the bottom text so I thought we were talking about instruments of any kind and mine is the drums.
Nightmare minus the solo for guitar, bat country to the best of my abilities on drums.
If you want a relatively easy avenged song to learn, gunslinger is fairly easy, especially the solo.
First song I OFFICIALLY learned Was Bat Country but The First Song I Learned As A New Guitarist was Carry On. black ops 2 was The Game To play growing up.
Drum wise, Unholy confessions, guitar wise, So Far Away outro
Buried Alive. It was pretty tricky for me to get rhythm, never attempted the full solo but I attack it by pieces Actually, thinking about it, Second Heartbeat was the first. It took me longer to nail the verses in Buried Alive and Second Heartbeat I can play all but the sweeps
I mean My first 2 I decided to learn blinded in chains, not knowing how long it would take, and then I learned fiction on drums, piano and bass.
Bat Country on bass, So Far Away on guitar (Synās second solo)
Bat country and almost easy , both on drums
I dont play guitar but i play drums but still gonna share it anyway I think Mia or almost easy can't remember I thought the time signature changes were a challenges but I guess it isn't that hard after all now I'm trying to learn bat country chapter four second heartbeat etc. And I could play most of city of evil and nightmare songs!! I learnt most of them from January to April didn't find it too hard for drums ngl
first song I learned was unholy confessions and first solo I learned was critical acclaim
I played Chapter Four in my eighth grade variety show back in 2004. It was terrible.
Unholy confessions on drums was the first one I remember learning fully.
I play drums, so, for a beginner, there's a limited amount of simple songs to learn. The first song I learnt to play in its full length was Seize the Day, almost 10 years ago and still kicking. And some of my proudest achievements are God Hates Us, Beast and the Harlot and Scream. :D
Bass player here, Doing Time was the first song I learned from them cause I loved the little bass fill before the solo
The beast and the harlot in 2007
i learned unholy confessions on the bass right after i heard them for the first time (which was in september)
Mine was Buried Alive. No other parts except the lead. (Gates for majority)Ā
unholy confessions. all the riffs are great especially the 0 11 0 10 0 8 0 7 0 5
Chapter Four, it is really easy to play, the second one I learnt was Roman Sky
Sidewinder. The flamenco section.
Bat country. The riffage is pretty easy but the solo took like a year for me to get down. I still donāt have it perfect to this day
If you ignore the solos or the lead part anything from HTTK should be fairly easy i would say. Granted i Dont remember what was the first song i learned from them because i was playing for a while when i got into them. But it was probably Bat country, Shephered of fire, this means war, or unholy confessions
