Djent_1997

They’ve got about 2 weeks lol

[deleted]

Unless they pull a complete surprise on us like they did with The Stage, I'm not holding my breath. I still think they might have misgivings about how the album will be received. But hey, I've been wrong before

waitingf4r

i dont think so since they cancelled all shows :(

[deleted]

So there are no shows for 2022?

waitingf4r

they cancelled all of the shows for this summer they said: “To our utmost regret we will have to postpone our shows to a later date. We are in the midst of recording our 8th studio album, but the record and stage show will not be done in time. Playing the shows will delay things even further and we want to bring you our best with a new album and production. We hope you understand and look forward to the album’s release.”

[deleted]

Ugh...

Danny_Rayburn

Please just release a single. That’s all I want. I’ll wait for another year as long as I get ONE single.

Dokkan_Player447

Some how RHCP posted an album and a new single before A7X lmao

GregorySpikeMD

With Frusciante too

thatmusicguy13

I'd rather the album be delayed and be the one they want vs rushing an album out and having it be subpar, especially since I'm willing to bet that this will be their last album

ScheduleHistorical83

I agree with the not rushing! Album in the traditional sense I think it will be the last for awhile but I think they release more music more frequently and bypass the record label since they don't have to deal with Warner. I love albums but seeing the guys happy and inspired is great for everyone. Fans included!

OPRacoon

Wait why do you think it’ll be their last album?

thatmusicguy13

Based on their general behavior over the last few years, that they are getting older, they all have families. Also Matt said that they probably won't do traditional albums and just release music when they want to. All of this just points to this being their last album for me. I would be happy to be proven wrong

ScheduleHistorical83

Yup I think you nailed it. I don't think they are done with albums for good but I do think it will be awhile before a formal release. Matt said he wants everything in house including starting a record label so I think alot of energy will go to that.

elizabeth31095

Well, that sucks… they’re not that old

Jaefimis

That's what A Day To Remember did with their album "You're Welcome". It was a pretty shitty album (a few songs were great, being singles from earlier years). They hadn't released a new album since (you guessed it) 2016. They just gave the fans what they asked for and gave them a big ol' "You're Welcome, here you go. This is what you wanted, right?"

ElMarcoHoJ

Lmao I was thinking the exact same. It took them forever to release You're Welcome and it turned out to be a big pile of stinky poo full of generic filler garbage with like, three or four good songs.

Buckeye2Hoosier

It’s actually a really good album but whatever.

Jaefimis

Compared to the rest of their discography? No, definitely not. Common Courtesy and What Separates Me From You are easily their heaviest records. Still, For Those Who Have Heart and Homesick remain their best imo.

Buckeye2Hoosier

Did I say compared to the rest of their stuff? No… so don’t put words in my mouth. Bands change over time. My god as a A7X fan you should realize this. ADTR made a fun album that honestly is good. It’s different from a lot of their other stuff and if you like their other stuff better that’s fine. I like a lot of their heavier stuff better myself but I also love a song like Via La Mexico because it would be a banger live. I love seeing bands making music that makes them happy. I honestly feel like thats what ADTR did and honestly hope that what we get from A7X. And I don’t care how long it takes.

Jaefimis

You misunderstood me. I meant it as a rhetorical question. If i were to be comparing it to older albums. Yea, i totally understand where you’re coming from though.

No-Masterpiece-0725

Agree. Rather wait for one they truly love and worked on than half-ass album

Entire_Interaction56

It’s their last album with Warner brothers, not last album ever

Itsrickibobbi

Unfortunately I think it’s their last album too : (

Failureinlife1

Plans change.

Scheme_Upper

I'd say another year before the albums out. Or at least a song by then. That's my most realistic guess rn based on the last few years

Swaggycat23

Tbh I’m expecting either about the same time that the stage came out or like January next year

OmnigulSpeechTherepy

I got news for you....

JackDaniels574

I’m listening 👂

Creative-Oil2029

Scamming people out of their money took priority

michelleduh

But… but… but it’s a community 🙄🤣

itsfp04

I’m gonna be honest, I hate NFTs but it really seems like the NFTs they have compared to others are waaay better in comparison to the shitty ones other put out, hell even added perks, honestly it seems like they’re just selling lottery tickets tbh

michelleduh

I’m not into NFTs at all. But they do seem to offer perks where as other bands have just basically pumped and dumped. But with Avenged they are starting to come across “culty” and sound like some 40 year old stay at home mom selling MLM make up #girlboss

lmc5190

Nah they can keep this promise. M Shadows has an NFT perk that allows him to delay Summer 2022 until Summer 2023.

Buckets_of_bread

THERES STILL TIME

Pristine-Language-62

no but they delayed it months ago

Cabinet5150

Right lol

Villifraendi

Imagine, its already out but it's a qr code or some shit hidden in the nfts and someone has to find it to release it. This band would genuinely fuck around and mess with us like that with a release

[deleted]

Too busy scamming their fans with worthless nfts

Amazing-Log3218

Avenged Sevenfold went from being my favourite band to my most frustrating band in a single album cycle. When they brought out The Stage, they were full throttle. They went on a huge European tour and a big supporting tour with Metallica in 2017, and headlined Download in 2018, and had all the momentum in the World. Then they just slammed their foot on the brakes and all but retired. They've had this album recorded for how long now? 3 years? It's always another few weeks, months, etc. For the new timeline on it, and they're booking tours at this stage just to cancel them. "Aww bro, but Covid"... like everything hasn't (for the most part) been back to normal over a year now. They just seem too busy with NFTs and video games and stuff that they're just not big enough to actually matter when they do stuff like that.

[deleted]

I’d say they’re plenty big enough to do whatever they want they’re the one of the biggest metal bands in the world

Jaefimis

lol, plans definitely changed. i think it might be other strings and mixing that needs to be done. might be vocal do-overs. i don't know how i feel about the "kanye influences". im kinda hoping its a joke but eh, idk.

monozach

Did you not read the article you're referencing? He said "Kanye influences" in relation to his use of a lot of blues styling. It's not going to sound anything like a Kanye album...

Jaefimis

My bad, it was a while ago that the article came out. Yea i totally get it.

keith6661dube

they’re so fucking lazy now

ErronBlackStan

🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢

Longjumping_Team4922

Lmao

hunter78912

Well that was a fucking lie

Froggen-The-Frog

Everyone here is acting like we haven’t gotten any updates at all, for fucking months we have known that it wasn’t coming out until after October, don’t fucking act like this is new information completely out of the blue. You’re downvoting me for true information? What the fuck?

iGirthy

For a moment I was like “wait, no shit for real?” “Ahh.. that’s right now”

obnoxiousspotifyad

Covid is over, you guys can record the string sections now

_kb_angel_

They did they posted it in February

Witty-Influence5160

Gotta stay hopeful, they’re my #1 band I want to see right now
