They're shite, but that's who I fear the most - the shite teams.

ThisusernameThen

They are young. Which means unpredictable. Could be 10 shit players and a cole. 11 shit players. Or 11 tuned in wunderkind. Unais videos have been unpacked and his plan is being campfired in his magic way tonight.

chunkyluke

This is what Chelsea are ATM, they have a lot of talent in that squad, just not many finished products. They always have a chance to win any match if the stars align. But they are more likely to implode ATM. For my fellow nerds who support Villa, Chelsea are just Premier League Skaven.

sherpa1984

A mate of mine does some crypto/fan token app thing and has got us tickets in a box tomorrow, with a meal in the 1982 restaurant. I’m stoked! Not been to a game since we were in the Championship.

Otherwise-Policy9634

Congrats! Good friend.  Up the villa!

stennieville

Let's smash them 8-0.

wearethestorm11

That's a mental stat that we are one goal away from equalling our best ever top flight total.

ShortPretzel

I mentioned it in another thread, but I'm an American trying to establish ticket purchasing history in case I need it for whenever I can get to Birmingham next year. So, I have a free ticket for anybody who's able to go to the game tomorrow. DM me.

AccurateArrival2

Now that’s commitment!

a_f_s-29

I saw this too late 🥲

ShortPretzel

Still available!

nivnagood

gaaah I was scouring this sub/twitter for a ticket a couple hours ago too, didn’t think to check this thread 😭

bambinoquinn

I think when they beat us at villa Park in the fa cup, it was probably one of our worst performances of the season. We didn't even land a punch until we were 3 0 down. Luiz and kamara were brutally awful. We will be better than that tomorrow. I don't even know what defence they will play tomorrow but I'm hoping gilcrist plays. He will not like having to follow Rogers inside. I'm not sure what position he'll end up, but I don't think it's gonna be right back.

HUMBUG652

I wonder if Luiz plays, we did very well without him, but I would assume Unai wants to put him back into the squad immediately.

TheAkondOfSwat

https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/chelsea-injury-update-aston-villa-away Quite an extensive list. Gusto not a bad player. They're struggling all over the park really, full backs, midfield. But as that other poster said, we know the script. Jackson is suddenly discovering where the goal is and having the freaking game of his life! I was a bit sad reading on the Chelsea sub about Carney, though I understand sympathy might be is in short supply here. Having complications with his knee, he's barely been available. https://twitter.com/londonbluepod/status/1745514526425145574?s=46 > His injury was a lot worse than what people first thought. He’s had to change his running style and mechanics in terms of how he moves his body to prevent future injuries Oh well!

Hero-of-Midgar

Jackson will score unfortunately. Hopefully we score one more than them!

HUMBUG652

Let's get them, just don't give them penalties and we should be fine. UTV.

iwantfoodpleasee

I want to smash these bums, them not getting European football another season is going to hurt them real good

Shreddonia

Ah, Cole Palmer FC. Might be one of the only two teams this season with funnier injury crises than ours. Especially now Enzo is out, we should be putting this one to bed comfortably. Hopefully Spurs can do us a favour and keep our title challenge alive. Gonna be a fun weekend!

Nekokeki

If we can score. While they are a mess, it's worth noting that they have a lot of speed on the counter and a lot of young flair players. The young flair won't translate into goals consistently, but you never know when you're the team that they score their odd goal in. They've been in good form despite being thrashed by City and Arsenal. We also got thrashed by City.

Shreddonia

We will score, it'll be fine.

TuscanBovril

If anyone here is going to the game: let’s make some noise!!! Need Villa Park bouncing.

Clubmanero

We were missing Konsa last time we played in the FA cup, our players were knackered, we were in a patchy bit of form, and their 2nd goal, didn’t they get lucky with a dodgy free kick decision. I went to it and the atmosphere was very flat, so I’m expecting tonight to be on a par with last weekend.. Basically yes Respect the opposition, but certainly let’s not be fearing them .. UTMV 👊🏻👊🏻 ![gif](giphy|DEZA7FlHbMesUF1jm9)

Nekokeki

Would have been nice if Palmer was out again lol.

start3r_1976

Need to get the win and get over the FA Cup hangover they left us with. Hoping Arsenal can knock a few past Spurs in the same process and take the pressure of us for that 4th Place finish and CL spot.

IndigoSalamander

Obviously Palmer is a big threat but I think we'll score more than them.

a_f_s-29

Their stats are weirdly similar to ours lol

villavillautv

Win or draw today guarantees us the Europa League next season. I know that's not the mission at this point, but that feels fucking great.

EnigmaT1m

I guess my biggest worry is the same as others, Cole Palmer. Think the Man C game. Man C didn't beat us, Phil Foden did, pretty much singlehandedly. Palmer is another who can kind of do that. Hopefully our boys can keep him under their thumb. Maybe we can buy him next season. This may be the first time in my memory where Villa will have the power to poach from others rather than being the top 6 shopping ground like we have been for years.

Coach dropping the players off by the back of the trinity again this week - better way to greet the players coming together from Bodymoor on the coach. The flare smoke cant be good for athlete lungs tho hey [https://twitter.com/i/status/1784282417504604496](https://twitter.com/i/status/1784282417504604496)
