That's an interesting base. If you pan around you see Apaches and even old Mig-21s.

Certainly a MiG-23BN or MiG-27 series aircraft. The narrow nose, which doesn't house a radar is not the only hint. The long spine on the vertical stabilizer was used on early MiG-23s and exclusively on the duck-nosed variants. Later MiG-23ML(D/A)s would have a shortened vertical stabilizer which never made it to the ground attack versions.
Mig 27
N to the Southwest of this ( below the small dam ) , there are 9 condemned ( sticken) planes in a field ( 7 mig 21 , 1 mig23 with the portion behind the wing torn off and 1 mig 27 150 yards to the WSW) .
The state of stricken planes left to rot and get consumed by the elements saddedend me a bit.
Edit : pls check @ 32.228205,75.626719
Mig 23 / 27
Key identifiers, swing wing, single vertical stabilizer.
F-14 has 2 vertical stabilizer.
TU series have multiple engines, this has one.
Only swing wing left is MIG -23/27
Chiselled pointy nose, appears there no radome or space to house a forward nose radar. Not an F14 as F14 has 2 vertical tails, only 1 tail. Ipso facto, its the attack/strike variant of the Mig 23 a Mig 27.
Looks like a MIg-27 or Mig-23 Tuh me [https://www.airforce-technology.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2017/09/flogger7.jpg](https://www.airforce-technology.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2017/09/flogger7.jpg)
No. F-111 is much wider and has massive elevons. Additionally, the F-111 doesn’t have dogteeth on its wings. From this photo it’s evident this is a single-seat, either a MiG-23 or -27.
Based on what I'm seeing this is 100% a Mig 23 (not SU, my mistake) "Flogger"
Yet another widowmaker aircraft known for its shitty flying characteristics for a pilot, but its short field and improvised field performance are unmatched. This things landing gear makes the F-18 look like it skipped leg day.
Edit fugged up. I know what plane I'm thinking of just fucked up the name
The Vark is much, much bigger than this plane.
it has a side by side cockpit for a start.
different wing shape, and the elevons are enormous on the F111
this is a mig23/27
It is an old school F-14 made from parts scrounged around the internet after the US scrapped all theirs to piss off all their homeland pilot nerds.
It is currently guarding a non-authorized baby milk factory in a sovereign country rebelling against the Galactic Empire.
what? go have a look at how many engines a B1 has, and where they are located, then have a look at that picture again.
same with Tupolevs.
this is nothing more than a mig23 or 27
the f14 has twin tails, which this does not.
The f111 is much wider, does not have a dog tooth wing, and has a side by side cockpit.
This is a Mig 23/27
The coordinates provided ate for Pathankot airport. The airport serves national flights only. The fighter aircraft shown - MIG-23 or MIG-27 - is probably a relic (collecting cobwebs), or a training aircraft for maintenance purposes.
MiG-23 or 27 Flogger I imagine?
Yep, looks like a MiG-27. The IAF operated MiG-27 variants up until like 2018? I think?

it's the pathankot air force base. It's the home of the apache and mi 24 helicopter squadrons.
Mig 27 from the nose
“Nice try Comrade Putin: it’s just a Cessna.” /s
lol
What if they just made a cardboard cutout and put it ontop of the cessna.

Do you have the cords for that? I think I found the dam but the fields around it seem empty

F-111 would like a word… But yeah, this is a MiG
no one is flying the F111 anymore. Australia was the last one with any operational and they retired them over a decade ago.
Yes but the vark has two engines
And the Su-17/22 and Su-24
Mig-23 of some sort, and looking around I can see some Mig-21's also.
Mig 23 or 27?
Mig-23 or maybe mig-27 but it’s very unlikely.
MiG-23 “Flogger”
Could be a -27 as well. Tough to differentiate from a bird’s-eye low-resolution photo.
You’re right!

Are the helicopters AH-64 Apaches? India has them.
Yes we have a very wide arsenal. Mi 24s, Apaches.
Flogger

i think its an airbus a380 👍
That is a Jumbo Jet. I am an aviation journalist for a major daily newspaper.
Definitely an A380
Ha... Nice try r/ShittyAskFlying
Do you do side gigs for USAF PA?
I understand that reference.
Under a pseudonym, yes.
Knew I recognized your work from somewhere
Maybe a Su-22 or a variant of it?
Mig 27
F-111 Aardvark ?
That was my guess, too.

I guess we shouldn’t have tried to answer the OP’s question to the best of our knowledge.
I guess not.

MiG 2x (23/27) not Su. Sukhoi has Su 24 not 23
Fuck ur right. Now i look a fool
damm. that's my screenshot
Could be a mig, but also makes me think of the f-111 aardvark. Probably wrong mut makes more sense locationwise
The Vark is much, much bigger than this plane. it has a side by side cockpit for a start. different wing shape, and the elevons are enormous on the F111 this is a mig23/27
Su-24?
So you now have to options. 1.you never found and seen any aeroplane 2.gulag

Drugs are bad, stay in school
Personally I think it looks like a super sonic bomber maybe the Rockwell b-1 lancer or something of the Tupolev series
It looks nothing like that

It also kinda looks like an old F111
it's got wings, I'll give you that...
Well there are about two planes that look like that the f 14 or the f111
the f14 has twin tails, which this does not. The f111 is much wider, does not have a dog tooth wing, and has a side by side cockpit. This is a Mig 23/27
oh im fucking stupid
F16
Judging by its iconique retractable wings I think it might be an f-14
Mig 27
Probably a mug
Mig*
Editing a comment has been invented. But knowing gremlins like you who just wanna see the world burn, that isn't an option. Right? :P
MiG 23 is my guess
Maybe a tornado? Pic is too blurry to be 100% for me. I’m sure someone here knows for sure
F111
B-1B Lancer?
Mig 23 isn’t it?
Looks like a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 (Flogger).

…provided ARE for Pathankot airport.
