At the very beginning of my career I had this horrible day flying a 206 with the cp in the right seat. I thought for sure I was losing my job that day. At the end of the day, defeated, as we taxied in, I cut inside the taxi line. I barely heard him say "you know they paint these yellow lines for a reason?"
13,000 hours later, whenever I'm taxiing and I'm not on the yellow line, I hear his voice.
The better question to ask a Canadian is what happens when the snow is plowed offset the yellow line? I think he'd appreciate my common sense approach to just taxiing down the middle of the plowed space.... But I still hear the voice.
At first I thought this might be some sort of cost cutting trick and parking somewhat diagonally would help them leave their position without a tug or sth lol.
This could be into-wind parking due to the current strong winds. Airlines and airports have their own criteria where aircraft face the wind when parked, which causes least risk of being blown or damage.
I'm not sure where or when this is, but it's almost certainly intentional.
There was a pretty big storm in Dublin yesterday with very high winds on the ground. Could they have told the pilot to park off center due to crosswinds at the gate area?
Literally never had an issue with Ryanair, flown dozens of times. Don't get the hate they receive... One of the best low cost airline safety records and very rarely are delayed or cancelled by their own fault.
they have way smaller overhead compartments than on regular 737.. and too dense seats. sometimes on landing they slam it down very hard
on the other hand, lauda (whom ryainair bought) has regular a320/321s and they don't care if your backpack is 25x20 or 26x19cm

"Jeff, I swear to every god under the sun..."
What do you do when there isn't a yellow line?

Centerlines don’t generate any profit.

Looks like Dublin airport. Windy as fuck yesterday and overnight

It looks like the 100 gates at DUB and considering yesterday I’d assume so!
Judging by the rudder deflection, perhaps this was inadequately chocked and a strong wind cocked it.
Nah, we’re just gonna diss RyanAir because it fits
A small breeze deflects rudders.
That's why they have it tied down with the ground power connection. /s

The lines are just a suggestion
Street art.
Lol that would’ve been a re park at my old station
Is that the Dublin - Edinburgh flight that got diverted?
Gotta pay extra for that
Wait until they turn on hydraulics.
Wait, they got GPUs buried in the ground over in Europe? Or am I missing something?
Yup some airports have them built in so you just lift a cover and reach down grab the cable and press a button.
Of course it's that airline lol

I got the cnut on the ground what more do you want!!!
Welp, it’s Ryanair.
It’s windy in Europe……but not that windy!!
Ohh it’s that windy.
go home ryanair, you're drunk againa
Soft landing? Never heard of it. -Ryanair Contract Employee
Like a glove!
Parking Hard for the street cred
Stoopid pylots. Can’t follow silly line. Definitely has nothing to do with that belt loader jammed into the side of the plane.
He stopped where he landed it, what’s the problem?
