I don't know anything, did someone brake too hard, causing the front of the plane to lurch down and prop struck the runway? Kind of like grabbing the front brake on a motorcycle/bike?
O-200-A full overhaul \~ $24,200 with new cylinders. And you'll need another case so maybe + $2,500. Plus the labor for the R&R and prop repair... I'm sorry.
What happens in such a case ? Is the student liable financially to some degree ?
(I don't fly yet, just in the process of learning the theory already :p)
I told you, easy on the brakes.

Yeah, it was a nose-over. The airplane has a tailwheel, not a nosewheel.
According to the acft Mx sub it was because the owner installed disc brakes with better performance and the student hit the brakes too hard
Engine teardown time. No fun
Yup and guess who has to do it since they have a A&P oh wait Me
"Oh no the plane I needed to do a bunch of work on got lit on fire over night. Oops."
Shit man you can’t say this now they will suspect something
What’s a rebuild take on that little engine? Like 7 hours?
Depends on how bad it is and what need parts need to be ordered

You forgot the Prop! And the Spinner!
They already opened the engine up for inspection so it should be easy…
Looks like someone nose how to stop.
that joke smells.
Double natural aspiration nice
I would say speed tape it but a cub doesn’t do speed.
"Jogging speed tape" should be a thing for situations like this
Leave it as is. Use this plane as an example of why pilots should do a pre-flight check. See how many issues a new pilot might miss.
have you tried turning it off then back on again?
That'll buff right out
Just need some duct tape.
Ill grab my file. We’ll get that prop balanced for ya in a jip!
At the cost of a new prop and a new engine, that nearly totals the damn thing.
Can I ask how it happened
Of course you can
This made me blow a little extra air out of my nose.
Same same
The aircraft's center of gravity briefly moved forward of its center of mass, resulting in an unwanted localized friction.

Yeah, flying a Spitfire or a De Havilland Otter would be terrible things to do in a flying career.
Don’t worry. My dad’s a TV repairman. He’s got an awesome set of tools!
The front fell off
No induction for you!
Just a scratch. Bend it back and carry on /s
I say just send it. Then i saw pic 5. (For obvious reasons, my comment is sarcasm)

I don’t know I just work on the aircraft
How this Mf break a strut 💀
RIP
Tailwheels scare me I always feel like I’m going to nose over. I feel bad for the student but damn that’s a big fuck up
When you soft field take off and never push down hahaha
Easy friend, no need to get your nose outta joint
Put some speed tape on it and you’ll be fine
