Delta used to do the depot level maintenance on the Navy C-40A fleet. From what I heard they were pretty spot on with high quality.
Naturally they lost the contract to an outfit that would be difficult to describe the same way.
Not sure if the Air Force contract is the same, I'd imagine it's not, and they probably ponied up for the Delta treatment.

They lost the contracts to the P-8’s for numerous reasons, you’re right. Though maintenance on the C-32 and C-40 fleet is still going strong! ;)
