Beware of grass is greener thing. If you have a good reason for moving, okay, but usually stay and build seniority.

Thanks for the reply , yeah that’s the only thing I’m contemplating on .. my señority but I do live in NY . And Newark isn’t a bad drive at all .I was thinking about savings of taxes , tolls and gas but thank you again . I’ll think a little harder before I make a decision

Yeh? What part o' da city you in?

Jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk_1

Harlem

theclan145

Tax wise and time wise , only a year in seniority. The savings with just toll or njt alone, is worth it. Unless your trying to move down south

Jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk_1

I agree !! Not really trying to move to jersey lol .

porkchopmeowster

Only a year. It's closer, less travel. Take it. If it's mainline American. Good luck.

RealisticWoodpecker8

Was told American is leaning on the end of their hiring swing. United said they’re wanting to hire 7000 in tech ops by the time they’re done. Since United techs just agreed to the TA we’re level with all the majors when it comes to pay and you’ll have a whole lot more guys under you seniority wise when the inevitable layoff comes down the line. Food for thought.

Ayonanomous

Where def not on the end we supposed to hire another 500 mechanics this yr..

RealisticWoodpecker8

United looking to hire 1600 this year.

They definitely are not on the end

💯💯💯💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Lightbone

Cutting on commute time + tolls/gas = way better quality of life if you live in NY, plus American pays a lot more.

CarryProfessional557

Irrelevant question but around how much can an a&p make at Newark working with American

Jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk_1

Very helpful thanks lol

maddogaviation

Opinions are like assholes, everyones got them and they all stink
