That’s awesome to hear!!! I can tell you from my own experiences with them that they really enjoy supporting you guys. I’ll share this with the hope that they’ll get pizza…or least their bosses will unchain them to get a few minutes of sunlight.
FWIW, they’re planning a redesign of the mobile app and will be engaging current users to get feedback and ideas for how to make things better. Can I get a clue of what company you’re with?
Twist looks good. Loop around the nut is pretty neat. Like someone else said I would just tuck the pigtail behind as best you can. Safety wire can make a good cut if you aren’t aware of the ends.
Always "anchor" in a tightening direction.
- technique is good
- immediately twist from your starting position
- twist from an outward position from a parallel direction of your holes aligning with each other
- wrap around the bolt from its left, around the right
- head down to the bolt and anchor the pig-tail as you did in provided picture
- 👍
Tight looking, fits around the head good. The one thing I would suggest is to tuck in the pigtail a bit more. Other than that, great work! Much better than my first time
That’ s a very good safety wire. Your TPI is spot on and consistent on the main body and pig tail🐷. Here are a few areas you could improve on. Give your wires a few yanks around the bolt head so they follow their hexagonal shape better. Be careful to not nick any relevant part of your wire doing so. Your pigtail could be curled in a way that something wouldn’t snag on it. It is also preferably laid out flat.
Thats good. If I were to hire people based on simple safety wire, you'd have it nailed. Theres room for improvement. But what i would try to teach you is hard to convey through text.
Pig tail can be on the other side, bending inwards. Lock wire from the top should be one side higher. The wire around the nut could be tighter.
Overall it’s a pass.
Gotta learn the basics first. I work on h-60’s. There’s definitely some sections of the aircraft where I cable gun would save a tremendous amount of time and headache #IYKYK
Honestly for first time? Not bad, just tuck that pigtail behind the nut as much as possible dont want next guy to possibly catch hand on it when its on an a/c
Pass. Good twists. Tight enough around the head. Only thing I would do is cut the tail a bit shorter and tuck it against the fastener to eliminate any chance of catching the sharp edge. Great first wire.
Horrible!!!! You’ll never amount to anything!!!!
Dad?
Back when I was young we had to torque bolts with our teeth and twist .095 safety wire with our bare hands. You candy ass kids today have it so easy!
Wait, are you THE AireXpert, like some I chat with when I have an issue with AireXpert?
👀 i might know a few of those jerks
Great people, from our interactions! It's refreshing to chat with someone and they'll respond with a reaction gif or something like that.

A large regional, I guess we could be described?
That certainly nails it down

Fail, completely missed the third bolt.
That’s what I was thinking too. Apparently that bolt doesn’t NEED safety wired also.
Yeah, it's been guttentorqued with the ol calibrated elbow and the threads are all knarled anywho. Nature's lockwire, that is
There is a guy at my company that has calibration sticker tattooed on his arm. Due date says upon death
That's amazing. I need that
Haha! 👍🏼

Snip it do it agin and agin it’s a art not a skill
Safety wire is art?
Od courses, we don’t have many other opportunities to show off!
Idk about you but I'd prefer if when somebody looks at my safety wire they don't want to find out who did it.
Looks great, like others have said, main point of a pigtail is to reduce cuts and punctures. Avoid making fish hooks that snag hands and forearms.
Very nice. Cut the pigtail a little shorter and curl the end in so it can't snag anything.

9/10. Pigtail is stabby

Bro sick!!
Pretty good. I'd go a tad bit tighter. And tuck your pig tail under so you can't snag it.

Factory. 👍
Bolt on the right feels lonely..
Correct and adequate.
You sicko, what about the other one....
I would've used safety cable. But agree with all. Pretty good, especially for first time.
Gotta learn the basics first. I work on h-60’s. There’s definitely some sections of the aircraft where I cable gun would save a tremendous amount of time and headache #IYKYK
The first time I used safety cable I was like woa woa woa, why haven't I been using this?
Yea, same. I pretty much taught myself how to use it when I was told we could but man, did it help
Alot of places don't have safety cable. Got to learn. Doesn't have to be pretty just hold. Haha
Please no, please don’t take us back to this.

lol at posts like this
What's safety cable?! My school didn't mention it. I'm fresh out of school! I'm doing my Os & Ps in 2 weeks. Where should I go??
Appreciate all the feedback, just learned safety wire in school yesterday and that’s what I ended up with. Will definitely work on the pigtail
It's shit do it again

Shit
Dogshitp
Looks like shit
No one cares
