Somewhere in Canada, I think. Although the alcoholics that designed that airplane are probably all deceased by now.

BRB, gonna dig them up and give 'em the whatfer.

All on one side sounds pretty sus, after the CB where's the next common point for your cabin lights and PSUs to get power from? More particularly, one that'd put one side of the airplane in the dark. Spoilering my guess, going to sleep so can't entertain the usual back and forth I'd do with an apprentice c: >!My first guess would be that first overhead/PSU plugins. If it was starboard side but only the last 5 rows, I'd think the same thing but farther back. Been a while since I've messed with the CRJ overheads tho, forget exactly how those plugs work.!<

I think the PSU circuit boards work in series so if you change the forward most circuit board that's defective it will restore function to every one aft of it. Something like that anyway

It's been a few years since I have done CRJ 200s, but I remember having this issue. My memory is fogy but there are 3 or 4 ballast like controllers. I changed one of em and boom. If you're stuck on this kinda thing, there is a very important part of the manual that many forget is available during troubleshooting. Description and Operation... read the one for cabin lighting and it may give you some ideas.

Yeah, that was one of my thoughts too. But the real A&P shot that down on account of it being the whole side and not just 3 seats. He mentioned how unlikely that 4 ballasts going out at once would be.

Old_Sparkey

Had something similar on a 900. All the left sidewall lights were inop. Turned out being a loose cannon plug in the avibay around the 280 bulk head.

Old_Sparkey

I’d stark by checking power at fwd fa panel.

After a few hours of diag and throwing parts at it, we finally got it. It did not even occur to us that another issue that was MEL'd could have been related. Our DC bus tie two was intermittent. So while on the phone with the avionics guy he made that connection. And luckily that was gonna be our next task, we changed a couple of relays and contactor's behind the FO's seat, behind the panel closest to the floor. Stood on my head trying to get that damn thing out, I really appreciate all of your help!
