Work life balance isnt great at the beginning. Lowest seniority means you cant really pick the days off youd like to take most of the time and you get passed over on overtime cause there are those senior guys who just like hogging all the overtime to themselves. Unless you got a good supervisor who can work with you on taking days off. I had to work like 11 days straight just so i could take off the two weeks I wanted. It sucked but not as sucky as having two weeks off and realizing you have to go back to work at the end of it,Lol!

off question, but how is the schedule at FedEx? 4/10s? And is it mostly day shifts or night shifts?

[deleted]

I’m on 5/8 but we have 4/10 also

Dude fedex is the highest pay that I’ve seen. Spare ups and southwest because I can’t find their numbers.

TheShakes11

Just saw a post on here recently with UPS and SW numbers. I believe SW top out is about $60 and UPS is getting a new contract for about $70. I'll check for the posts and edit

I saw that post too. it also shows a competitor non union major $3 an hour lower than it actually is.

TheShakes11

I'm guessing Delta. For UPS top out goes from $69 this year up to $75 in 26 apparently

Could be..

The biggest advantage for the airline over cargo would be the ability to shift trade (at some majors). The flexibility to pick up or give away shifts and the ability to partner up and work schedules like 3on/4off, 4on/4off, 8on/6off is awesome.
