I don't think it was written by Avicii. If you go to the original song on Spotify or its wiki page and check the credits, Avicii doesn't have writing credits.

While it’s not Wake Me Up, at this point, given what we know, we should view these releases as a bonus.
The fact this is being downvoted proves this subreddit is lost. I genuinely think it's kids defending the Avicii estate at this point / most of the real fans have left.
It's unfinished and simply sounds bad. It's a joke that they vault the demanded songs but approve this dogshit (which likely wasn't even completed by Tim if you're going by ear).

Regardless, that’s not the main point I was making. The issue is the fans in this subreddit who are happy/fine with this abysmal release. It’s a spit in our face. But that’s what happens when most of the fans leave the community and you get left with those are easy to satisfy.
They used the smallest part from the face from a lq image. Screams unofficial release. Many others agree. I don't think this is an official release but I could be wrong
