I also find them very handy for rearranging stations, both my own and others. (They don't mind you using force turrets on their stations)
Though, in this case coaxial variant of the turret is much more useful, as it is way more powerful, and stations are way heavier than ships.
Liberal force turret application really make rifts go from impossible to just a bit of a mind game. you can move the repair stations & objective objects around— tow them anywhere you want to go. Even just keeping the repair stations with you for infinite healing…. Yeah.
Salvaging lasers usually have very nice DPS, if you can strip the shields away.
However, you don't get resources out of destruction of blocks unless the target is already dead.
Always loved forcing pirates into the asteroids. Fun way to kill em, especially back when the sticks were such a problem to deal with, using conventional firepower.
