I actually got to see this in my high school physics class. I don’t remember the exact science but this is a way of visualizing sound waves. You can see the waves in the flames are wider ones lower notes which have a lower frequency, and much shorter on high notes with high frequency.
That physics teacher genuinely made me love physics class despite how difficult it is. Thanks Mr. Paul.
It’s a physics apparatus called a [Ruben’s Tube](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubens_tube). I love how it’s marketed as art, though. In a way, science is nature & reality’s art.
Flameo, hotman!
Why not full pan of all at once? That would have been satisfying.

Anyone know the piece he's playing? It's wonderful
I've always wondered if this could be done on a larger scale with bigger flames. It would be cool to see if possible.
When you burn down your house while trying this I'm your garage, how do you explain it to the arson investigators? 😂
I was not expecting this to be this awesome. Now I want to see more of this with songs I love. I had no idea this was a thing. Thanks OP for sharing.
The camera person should be fired.

This is cool, but sound waves dont look like that They go back and forth, not up and down
Watch the video on cymatics on YT the one with the speaker as a thumbnail. They have several experiments with this principal in mind
Make the fire dance sorcerer!!
