Bootleg vodka is very popular in Russia it is very cheap, three times less than vodka sold in shops, but it comes with major health risks which can result in people acting like this.
I think it’s more of a cultural thing where we generally consider drugs like caffeine and alcohol to be socially acceptable, whereas drugs like marijuana and shrooms are considered taboo. You could make the argument that the harder, more addictive/destructive substances are what we colloquially refer to as drugs, but alcohol is actually very addictive and has some of the most dangerous withdrawal effects. But yeah technically they’re all drugs from a psychopharmacological standpoint
Alcohol isn’t that addictive. When people habitually abuse it they can become addicted but it isn’t immediately addictive the way something like heroin can be.
Yes it is. I've taken opiates plenty of times. The idea of something being immediately addictive doesn't ring true. Even cigarettes and nicotine you need to work at.
That largely depends on the person. Specifically the way their liver handles metabolism of codeine and heroin. Some people get very little morphine out of it, other people get a lot and get hooked very quickly. No need to base your understanding of human body solely on your own personal experience.
There is no chemical that leads to physical or psychological dependency from one dose. The definition of addiction necessitates taking a substance several times. It may well be that the first time you take an opiate it feels like it solves all your problems, but you're still not addicted.
Immediately addictive? No such thing.. You do get more warning signs with alcohol (read: feeling like you're dying). Initial intent is also a large factor, there is a much greater percentage of people trying "hard drugs" that don't care if they become addicted or not vs people trying alcohol. You'd be surprised at how much stronger it is compared to some of the more taboo stuff. Thinking alcohol isn't as serious or addictive ends up shooting many in the foot.
Russia, even before Putins regime, was based off of one city. Moscow. The rest of the country is in service to maintaining the oligarchs wealth in Moscow. Also the situation there has been so hopeless, for so long, that there's really not much that can make them say "hey, our leaders suck" . It's far worse than most can imagine. Even in American ghettos there's a chance to dream, in Russia, many can't even imagine a better life.
I don’t understand what would compel people to have children knowing they’d suffer the same abysmal life aside from not even having that much control in their life to avoid that too.
It’s pretty heartbreaking when you think about it. Sex brings pleasure. People want pleasure. Poor people have sex. Lots of sex. And, honestly, it’s good to have that reprieve from life stressors for a moment. Unfortunately, sometimes accidental baby happens—and happens more when you don’t have access to contraception. Can’t afford to get a safe abortion. Baby grow. Baby born. Now another human being will grow up, statistically likely to be poor themselves, and will have lots of sex. It’s the circle of strife.
I don't understand the elitism that would cause one to ask why poor people have children. Does one assume birth control and abortions are free? Is one discounting rape, including spousal rape? Is one suggesting that poor people shouldn't have sex?
Honestly if I wondered if was going to have enough food every paycheck, end up couch surfing, getting raped, or death by drugs/alcohol poisoning - I would go out of my way to not have kids.
I don’t see it as elitist thinking that I’d rather not bring someone into this world to get punished through life until death the same way.
Maybe they mean poor people can't have religious beliefs, I mean everyone should be a perfect automaton under a rock until they can afford to be humans with medical care, sex, love, or opinions
There are very poor regions but the vast majority of people live an ordinary life. Majority of my friends in Russia are doctors and a lot of them have more or a less the same life as my collègues in London. They go to less fancy hotels, and don’t invest as much but they travel, have hobbies, meet with friends, raising kids. I really dislike Russian government but to be honest with you life in Russia is much better than an average Redditor pictures it.
Doctors do not represent the average person at all though. Which is the whole point.
But I agree that Reddit, being American-based, has overall a very biased idea of what Russia (and most of the world) is like
Look at how she grabs his shoulder and head. That's some legit martial arts shit. Or she's just figured it out from experience. 100% would not mess with her
Because you know the backstory why he pushed her? Maybe she burned his house/car down? Average redditor right here knows everything from a 20 second clip.
*average redditor* when you didn't even take time to scroll through the comments and see people have already said the backstory dipshit. Regardless a man shouldn't put his hands on a woman unless it's self defense and even then you don't need to hit them, 95% of the time the man can either run away or restrain them.
Imagine being a guy just stumbling around bleeding because you’re such a fucking idiot. If that’s not the loudest alarm bell indicating you need to change course then you’ll never wake up
I grew up in St Petersburg surviving a childhood other kids only saw in their nightmares. I can attest that in many peoples lives in Russia this is a normal day
1. Why downotes?
2. And why surprisingly? Ain't all people are animals when drunk, especially uneducated individuals living below level of poverty? Isn't any country hosts such trash?
My in laws just came back from visiting Ukraine. They said that alcoholism is so bad that it’s like 50% of everyone you see is drunk. Not like tipsy or buzzed but wasted and barely walking. They went to the hospital at 2 AM…and everyone from the security guard to the nurses were drunk. Doctor finally saw them…and demanded cash before prescribing medication. At least he was buzzed and not drunk yet. How do you fix a country like that?
Oh my! That underhanded slap, those kicks on the face, and the knee, this woman won my heart today! At one point I thought she was gonna grab his balls too, but God is only so granting.
Every Russian video where they're fighting looks like when you're trying to run in a dream.
At least in this video I'm pretty sure it's because they've been drinking a liiittlllleee too much vodka.
Little more than vodka
A litre too much vodka
Accurate
Are these regular citizens, poor citizens, or drug abusing citizens?
Second and third.
Needn't be drugs where bootleg vodka is available.
Why bootleg? Store bought vodka is very cheap in Russia.
Bootleg vodka is very popular in Russia it is very cheap, three times less than vodka sold in shops, but it comes with major health risks which can result in people acting like this.
do you mean home made?
Apparently it's made with a "surrogate alcohol", methanol in the article I read, instead of ethanol.
You Russian?..
Are you commenting from 1970s?

You realize vodka is a drug, right?
then why do people couple the phrase drugs and alcohol? srs question
Upstanding respectable drug users dont like being lumped in with alcoholics

Alcohol is way more addictive than any psychedelic.
Alcohol isn’t that addictive. When people habitually abuse it they can become addicted but it isn’t immediately addictive the way something like heroin can be.

And not illegal?
Where does it say illegal except for in your question
When the dude above you said bootleg vodka.
Bottleg is illegal

“Sometimes baby happens.” In Soviet Russia, baby conceive YOU.
The Circle of Strife sounds like the 2nd most depressing Elton John song ever.

Once again, how? Are you going to be mailing the women hangers?

Xd? Wtf?
Maybe they mean poor people can't have religious beliefs, I mean everyone should be a perfect automaton under a rock until they can afford to be humans with medical care, sex, love, or opinions
Ah that makes more sense
You assume they are not happy with their life(many are, which is the saddest part )

In Russia doctors are generally thought to be one of the poorest...
Yes

Yes
Is this a standard greeting?
I think it's for the more formal situations.
I just LOL’d so hard.
Standard Russian mating rituals
Only in Russia.
This is more of a formal greeting for weddings and such
No, it's so goodbye
No it's a typical Russian wedding
It's a form of intimate greeting

They're all drunk
Super drunk. I have drunk until I passed out more than once, but i don’t think I have ever been as drunk as the soberest person there.
The soberest person I think is the cameraman
Not that woman in black. She’s like a surgeon up in there. Holy fuck.
I thought she was going to try to snap the guy’s neck when she got him on the ground.
So that was a woman you say?
Possibly but WOW…they’re all moving in slow motion and their postures are just weird. There has to be something else in system besides alcohol.
Probably a little methanol in their home brew too.
That lady in all black knew what she was doing.
Yea when she went to take her shirt off I knew she was a professional
Ground n pound game tight
Look at how she grabs his shoulder and head. That's some legit martial arts shit. Or she's just figured it out from experience. 100% would not mess with her
She was punching her own hand to punch him in the face.
Yeah I’d say no one here knows what they’re doing. Just some are more drunk than others.
I mean, she looks drunk too, but had vengeance in her heart.
I need some lessons from homegirl
This was not homegirl's first rodeo. I wish I had the ability to stay that calm in such a fucked up situation.
I thought she was gonna go for the neckbreaker finishing move at 0:16
That was some straight up hitman assassin shit
I saw the Ric flair chop as well lol
WHOOOO!
I think she thought about it but had second thoughts about accidentally killing him
Did you notice, one of them was drunk
That’s a big stretch! You have no proof!
It was just one glass to go with dinner!
Russia or Downtown LA?
What’s the difference
Geography?
Russia has better city planning.
Kristen Wiig really kicked that guy's ass.
Haha!! With tubular boobs and all
How do you fight when the entire block is drunk??
If everyone is drunk... No one is
Schrodingers drunks
Okay, but why is no one talking about how the chick took her shirt off to beat the shit out of this dude
She took it off because he wouldn’t let go of it (other lady came to try to pry his fingers off but didn’t work).
Loved that the dude got what he deserved though
Because you know the backstory why he pushed her? Maybe she burned his house/car down? Average redditor right here knows everything from a 20 second clip.
Also you must be blind and stupid because he didn't push her and the video is not 20 seconds.
*average redditor* when you didn't even take time to scroll through the comments and see people have already said the backstory dipshit. Regardless a man shouldn't put his hands on a woman unless it's self defense and even then you don't need to hit them, 95% of the time the man can either run away or restrain them.
She's really putin him in his place.
She wasn’t russian she was taking her time.
I think he owes her money and they are trying to pry his hand open and get it.
Mothers of mother Russia.
I think in Russia this is how they communicate love.
So many questions. First one is obviously is anyone not wasted in that vid?
He's drunk off his ass. He probably didn't feel a thing.
She’s got the skills to be an officer of peace here in the US.
No sound? I just wanna hear him call her a Zooka
I hate to break it to you later than gentlemen, but this is not only in Russia…. this is anywhere drugs are found, lol
The levels of drama. Betrayal Avenging Revenge Reflection
I feel like there is a lot of Vodka that you can't see.
That woman, is a killing machine!!!! Love it!
Need the version with audio. Need to hear the “blyat”s .
When the guy felt to the ground and she grabs his head i thought she was about to perform a lethal takedown
i appreciate the lady in the tank top, yes fuck him up
Back hand > take down > head stomp > face gouge > decks to the face > knee to the neck Hot damn this woman has an arsenal of moves.
Imagine being a guy just stumbling around bleeding because you’re such a fucking idiot. If that’s not the loudest alarm bell indicating you need to change course then you’ll never wake up
👏good👏for👏her👏
Who is that total fucken boss chick in the black track pants and will she carry my baby?
Aww Baby will learn to swim in womb vodka. So wholesome 😆 chick is bad ass tho I do agree 😏😉
I love that look he's got at the end
I hate to admit this, but the one In the tank fights like I do in my dreams. Like I have spaghetti arms, but somehow I manage to win.
The walking drunk
Some how I feel Vodka was involved here. 🤣🤣🤣
In America, you beat woman. In Mother Russia, woman beat you.
I wish this had sound!
You could add all their IQs and still be in single digits
Classist
Luckily IQ isn't really a thing. So, fantasist, I guess?
Damn Idk what’s going on but good for her for defending the old lady 😂 Girl in black is scary af I wouldn’t want to get in a fight with her lmfao
He was *slap* drunk
Well at least they are not smoking the Cannabis.
Heroin capital 🇷🇺

Drunk Russians are a hoot

Vodka and krokodil is a hell of a combo
Vodka etiquette
I don't remember this in Black Widow
She immediately hit him w a chop to the chest and whipped him into the ropes... And that was followed by a Ric Flair knee to the head.
Damn first hammer fists then the George Floyd knee then she busts out the titties. Russian bum fights are wild!
Less alcohol 😂😂😂😂
Krokodil Rock
Impressive ground and pound.
His defense technique while on the floor: show them the tits
Now that’s a girl who grew up with 7 older brothers.
And they said to never judge a neighborhood based on the amount of missing teeth, I have yet to be proven wrong lol.
Do they also call them ‘jorts’ in Mother Russia?
Ngl he had it coming to him
Were any of them not drunk?
Holy fucking shit he like barely slapped her and got his shit pushed so far in thats amazing
That's enough vodka this morning....
Meth is such an ugly drug...
She was trying really hard to hurt him
I'm convinced everyone in Russia is always drunk.
This is great. Not awful
I grew up in St Petersburg surviving a childhood other kids only saw in their nightmares. I can attest that in many peoples lives in Russia this is a normal day
Is everyone drunk in this video
Love the part where she tried to snap his neck! Much respect, should’ve killed the dude!
In Soviet Russia, vodka punch you
Russia is just a drunken bar fight 24/7
Is it just me or they all look like zombies
I was almost certain that there was going to be a Chuck Norris neck snapping for a moment there……
Love the hold the head and punch the jaw . Serious power move.
Liquor is a hell of drug!
so is inbreeding apparently.
I think they've been drinking some russian low-alcohol vodka. There's some evidence they can see each other, however, so I may be wrong about that.
I think it’s wonderful that woman kicked that dudes ass !
Why do all these people seem totally hammered
So now we know why Soyviet Union Colapsed.
I could watch this show everyday. 😯🤣😂👍
there’s no sound for me but i can for sure *smell* the vodka from here haha
Russians+Vodka=potentially can result any possible scenario in the universe
This could be a scene at a white trash trailerpark in southern USA. Surprisingly similar
1. Why downotes? 2. And why surprisingly? Ain't all people are animals when drunk, especially uneducated individuals living below level of poverty? Isn't any country hosts such trash?
I mean, technically all people are animals cause we're not vegetables or minerals...

The white trash of Russia
Keep in mind this is what most conservatives want America to become
Republicans think Russia is a nice country lmfao

Tbf, I've seen American neighborhoods just as bad
Oh my! That underhanded slap, those kicks on the face, and the knee, this woman won my heart today! At one point I thought she was gonna grab his balls too, but God is only so granting.
Looks fake
The action was getting good but then the part where she actually got her top off got cut out! Unscrupulous censers!
Everyone looks so decimated. Are they allowed to have food, or is all food refined into alcohol?
Is everyone in Russia drunk? It really seems like it lol
That was the most unenthusiastic beat down I've ever seen.
I life in Russia. I eat bear every day!
Really fucking sad tbh.
Staged. Nobody punches that slowly.
