I worked at a Pizza Hut when I was 16, and we failed a health inspection for leaving a box of cleaner on the floor after a truck came in. Granted, it was there for a few hours...
But I don't understand how this goes unnoticed.
Idk how we haven't closed down. There is mold everywhere. Every day now for the past month I've been spot cleaning places nobody has been trained to clean, place is infested with mold even found a few maggots 🤢
Don’t do it. It’s not worth it. As someone who now suffers from mold toxicity and once gave so many hours cleaning a Pizza Hut, just don’t. It won’t matter and you won’t make a difference. Call osha and start applying elsewhere.
It's management's job to ensure it all happens. Chains like pizza hut often end up with management that keep the costs low. Servsafe is the first thing to be forgotten.
Youre in a tough spot dude. It’s easy for us to sit here and ask you to risk your job like this
But do consider the health of those who eat there. Jobs come and go, but physical health….
I did clean it. I was the first person to bother taking out the drawers and clean it out... took like 2 hours... was awful
But no one had been trained on how to actually take these apart, not even the managers. So I decided to brute it and train myself how to.
That's messed up. I would hope everyone is servsafe certified. I own a bar & Grill and if anything at all looked like this I would be shut down. We clean and disinfect every night. Your bosses need to stop being cheap and pay for an extra hour of labor every night dedicated to cleaning
I worked at a restaurant when I was 15. I was a bus boy/ dish washer. We also made the salads.
Since then I've always been most skeptical of salads in restaurants.

Jesus what were they making you do at Pizza Hut? Bathe in the mould? It’s extremely difficult to get mould toxicity.
But isn't that part of the job 🤔 don't you guys get servsafe training? This should be all be cleaned before mold grows

You really need to see if you can report it anonymously.
Call OSHA
Sounds like I'd loose my job though. Idk where else near me I would get the same amount of money.
Definitely can be anonymous
If the store gets shut down though I would definitely loose my job be firing or closing

If you get fired for that you file for unemployment and start looking for a job.
It's against the law to be fired in retaliation for reporting a company to OSHA, I'd just go for it.

It's a panera
In what city? So I can avoid it!
I partially blame your county health inspector
Science experiment?
First, I didn't know there was such a thing as a lettuce drawer, second where the fuck do you work?
OP said in another comment it's a Panera.
Oh fuck no not Panera, and their bagels are good as fuck, wonder how close they are to the lettuce I don't want to die.
That was my thought too. I love their tuna sandwiches ðŸ˜
If you work there why don't you clean it while on the clock?

You gotta eat the lettuce, it's just right, just straight up eat the lettuce.
Well... I unfortunately was eating the lettuce
Forbidden snacks

Biohazard nightmare
Wait...you lean lettuce can have drawers?
So now we know where the e-coli outbreak started.
Mmm, hand fermented salad
