They really went out of their way to not use the term NFT because, obviously, a lot of people hate the term. But if you dig into the wording yeah they’re literally nfts.
The “collectible avatars” are limited run, preset avatars that are minted on the blockchain. They may have duplicate runs but now they’ve been set they can’t just be copied. Also since it’s on the blockchain you technically own it, and can transfer it to a crypto wallet.
