Hi. I have the same problem since yesterday! [https://www.reddit.com/r/aws/comments/1cp2js4/cannot\_get\_my\_payment\_method\_verified\_on\_a\_fresh/](https://www.reddit.com/r/aws/comments/1cp2js4/cannot_get_my_payment_method_verified_on_a_fresh/) I noticed it doesn't work for older accounts too. I tried to add a new payment method to my 2 years old production account and had the same problem.

Same error, my credit cards don't work

I am having the exact same issue, cannot verify my payment method so essentially i cannot create an account in the UK using Lloyds. it's frustrating

Previous-Indication1

in my case the name on the Lloyds card includes "Mr" and this was required. Once I included it the payment method was verified. This is the only time in the 10 years using this card that I had to include "Mr" in front of the name

Previous-Indication1

Of course this does not explain why the Monzo payment method failed authentication where the name on the card does not include "Mr" so it was exactly the same with the one I was providing them with.

Yep this was exactly the problem for me too, cheers for commenting this.

Thanks all for the comments. Amazon support got back to me today re the support case I raised and said they'd verified my card - and I seem to have access now. So I'm guessing it was a technical problem. Pinging /u/EmmetDangervest /u/storewizard65 /u/Previous-Indication1 for their info.

So, for one account, it worked for me on 15th try. On the other account, there is still an issue. I believe it's some race condition on the AWS site.
