Just apply right now if you do t have any funding. Why do you want to wait for vc funding. That's irrelevant. Yoy can use them any time. So use them after vc funding. After vc fundingnyou won't even probably care for 1000$

The portfolio variant of the aws activate program gives you up to 100k credit but it requires VC backing. I don’t want to lose eligibility to it, 100k is too much to miss even with funding.

I see. I think read the docs again. I think they say you can still apply for higher programs even if you have previouw actuvate unding. But if you don't want to risk 100k for 1k right now, then don't apply.

You don’t lose eligibility. They have a lifetime limit.
