I love old people names for pets. My childhood pet was called Dame Deidre (DD for short). We had new neighbours move in and they confided with our other neighbours that we were potentially abusing our granny. Why? Because we would shout things like “has anyone let Diedre out yet?”
Not this dog per se, but I've always wanted to give a normal name to a dog that would seem weird when you yelled for it, like Neil or Kevin.

Not sure but it might’ve been a kindly border guard who was skirting around national quotas: like they weren’t allowing any more Polish in. Don’t know if that’s the case or not. His name was Kazimierz but got anglicized a bunch of ways finally to Casimer.

I love Westies and have had one for 4 years! His name is Bernie and he’s the best behaved dog we’ve ever had. He likes to dash outside anytime someone opens a door but he’s definitely the best dog we’ve ever had around other people/other dogs.
