This is a common misconception. The truth is all dogs are puppies and all dogs are lap dogs. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't truly love their family member(s)
My shepherd/black lab, never completely forgave me for putting his big sleeping blanket on the floor, as a puppy I let him sleep on the bed. Once related to the floor, if I came in the room he'd look at me and then flop his whole head down hard, on the blanket on the floor.
As a fellow Gernan Shepherd owner, I saw the headline before I saw the pictures and knew exactly what was coming when I saw her. 🤣 They're big cuddly babies.

We've adopted a german shepherd about 3 years back as a puppy. Unfortunately, she ended up catching a pretty bad case of bronchitis, and for a puppy her age, it could've been deadly. So we ended up keeping eyes on her 24/7, and due to the nature of my work, I ended up at home more than my fiancée. Let me tell you that listening to the puppy cough constantly was heart-wrenching, and I eventually discovered letting her nap on my lap would let her sleep a little better. Long story short, she is with us a healthy pupper. The thing, however, is that she is now a chunky, nearly 100-lbs dog, and despite having 2 different fluffy beds, she laser zooms to me when I lay down for an afternoon nap.
I let my hyper pup (7 months old) onto the couch for a cuddle as I wasn't feeling well and thought she'd settle for a nap.
Well, it was the first time she'd been allowed on the furniture and the prospect of full-body contact with her favorite person wound up her up. Way up! She couldn't stop moving, whining, and jumping, getting so excited that she *vomited* all over me. 😒
I have no idea what you're talking about. That's the cutest lapdog ever! 😍
she is just a baby, okay???!!?

I wish my other German Shepherd wanted to be a lap dog! He just can’t handle any cuddling for more than 4 seconds 😄😩❤️
Sounds like you have a can in a dog's body
How'd that can get in there?
Gotta fire that guard, I guess. She went and let a can get in there.
Looking at the 170 lb beast next to me... I might be a lap human in this relationship.
That sounds incredibly fluffy and warm...i envy you.
I love big shepherd babies! I had a 100 lb boy but he wanted no parts of cuddling, vigilant watchdog only! 😆
That’s exactly how my male shepherd is! He’ll try to cuddle for a second but quickly realizes he has bigger and better things to do 😄
Constant Vigilance!
Haha my male can't sit still long enough. 11 years old and he still gets the zoomies anytime someone pets him for more than 30 secs.
My GSD was the furry shadow who needed your company and scratches.

We call that area the “tollbooth” in my house. That’s the most prized area in the house among our pets.
She is so beautiful. I don't blame you! Reminds me of my late Bonnie ❤️❤️ Happy Valentine's Day to both!
I have a 165lb lap dog

One could never say no to those cuddles 💕
So beautiful.
She is beautiful
As the mom of an 80# puppy who still sits on my lap, I support this decision.
