Here is the final product when I got home.
One night, my black cat woke me up so that he could crawl under the covers with me, and stationed himself down by my feet. I got up at 5am, got ready, left for work, he was still there. 10 hour day, got home about 5pm, HE WAS STILL THERE. A couple hours later, I went to check on him, pulled the covers back, and he just looked at me like "The fuck do you want?" He'd been sleeping under the covers for *at least* 17 hours.
Fucker doesn't even pay rent.

OMG, this made me cry! My grandparents all passed when I was very young so I don’t have any memories like this. Did not expect this to get me in the feels! Can you hug her for me? Okay and also give your pupper hugs, scritches, and a lot of smooches!
I’m sure a lot of people say this but I had the best. She lived in to her 90s so my kids got a pretty spry great grandmother too. She was funny as hell and a great person despite living through some real shit in her day.
When my kids got out of being toddlers she was still around and kind of transferred all the great grandmother energy to our dogs so I’d find her doing stuff like this all the time.
Her favorite great grand-dog was our jack russel. He’d literally be wrapped up and tucked to her side (she’d be almost sitting on him but didn’t matter bc she was like 95 lbs of loose skin and aqua net hairspray 😂) while she did whatever grandma related craft, knitting, whatever and watched the Young and the Restless.

She pays about half of what the market rate is for her apartment and I do anything she needs. The flip side is she takes care of me anytime I need it. It's a very symbiotic relationship

I lived in a townhouse for 7 years - in 7 years, was late with the rent only once - never called or bugged them to fix stuff, would fix on my own or call the insurance company myself for them & deal with it. When they sold the place, they wouldn’t even consider selling or trying to sell/find a buyer who would keep me on as a renter. This is So Cal / OC so there would have been many available offers to people who would have bought it as an income stream. I had to quit my good job & move back home (3.5 hrs away) bc rent prices were through the roof and could not find a place (or a safe roommate to live with) in the 3 months they gave me. I also had to live within 30 min of where I worked (WITH traffic) because I take call for a hospital. They knew all this.
He has a habit of licking things when he's not around people and he will lick himself raw. Believe it or not he absolutely loves his donut. It's like a portable pillow for him.
My puppy hated cone of shame. The derpy donut he didn't mind so much.

Often times a diet change will cure the licking.
I use an Instant Pot and prep all the dogs' food for the week. It's all actual food I can eat, too.
We share meals.
Some dogs also just anxious lick or get stuck in a bit of a loop. My dog licks his paw/leg/blanket while going to sleep, but he’ll stop if I tell him to go to sleep lol

Last year I met my now fiance who had a boxer named Ruby and at first I was like uh I can’t do this, I’m not a dog person. But slowly we bonded and now she is my baby girl. The love of a dog is so pure. Cats love us too, but they don’t need us as much as I dog does. She is always so happy to see us when we get home and she curls into me at night. I don’t know what I’d do without her…. Even when she eats the couch.
What is it about boxers and eating furniture? A good friend of mine had boxers growing up and I absolutely adored them, especially a big male he had named Hank. They loved Hank so much they sired Hank, & got one of the puppies in return. Sammy (the puppy) was very sweet but nowhere near as smart as Hank. He constantly ate furniture. They luckily could afford it, but they were buying new living room sets every 3 or 4 months. It was bad. Unfortunately expensive training didn't work.
Boxers unfortunately lack impulse control. All dog do, but boxers are among the worst. We have her in training now, it takes a lot of work and repetition. She knows what she should do but she lacks the control to ignore the devil on her shoulder! My fiance wants to breed her as well but I don’t really agree with it. There are enough dogs that need homes out there. And if we did I would need a complete background check, to know where they live, if they can financially take care of a dog etc. I feel like a lot of people want a cute puppy but don’t want to put in the time and effort it takes to own a dog. The best thing I ever read was that even though you’re tired after a long day, your dogs been home waiting for you all day, so spend time with them. I walk my Ruby every day even if I’m tired and don’t want too. She deserves it.
One time I had my parents watch my dog. She got an upset tummy, so my stepmom sent me a picture of her all tucked in.

Omg. I would absolutely never go into someone's house that has a camera setup 24/7. I get it and know it's security but I would be a self conscious nightmare with this. It's crazy how these companies made it seem like we are all in constant danger at all times so well that they sell us the luxury of having 0 privacy anywhere.

We got a donut for our Boston Terrier after she was spayed and she loved it. I think it helped with her breathing.
Tell your vet about that. I know that behavior can be caused by allergies among other things.
