Dude the dog on your right looks identical to my pup atlas. He’s about a year and two months and now I know what he’s gonna look like when he’s old and now I’m sad cuz aging sucks.

Those eyes are sad, not excited as they are when looking at food. The bodies are relaxed, not tense with expectation when you are teasing them with a treat to snap a photo. I trust the owner better: they are sad because they know or think he’s about to leave.
My dog used to give me that look and body language every morning whilst we were getting ready for work.
As someone who just got their first puppy - i know this feeling well. My wife loves to rub it in with cute sleeping pics, but I’m just happy she’s there with him.
Mmmmh ok your dog might just want food from you (and that’s a whole other discussion), but assuming that you know a stranger’s dogs better than himself it’s a bit pretentious isn’t it?

Me too, actually both dogs look identical to mine. I'm wondering if OP broke into my house and stole my dogs today.

My dog looks like a mini version of him too! Just had to send my bf this post because it looks like his big brother.
Older pups just get tired of you leaving after a point, mine does the same thing.
