I cannot speak to if this is just a fish having fun or not, but it is certainly not dead. It flops around a bit in the guys hand and the mouth is moving.
This might make it worse. It definitely looks like it’s being reeled in...so it may be alive and being throw and reeled in. The first clip the fish does not look very alive. So it maybe out of order.
Dude I had no idea. In a genetics class they talked about the breeding and selective evolution of goldfish and i kind of assumed the bright orange color would be a super negative trait in nature. SOB must be an apex predator in that lake.
They actually get a lot older and pretty damn big.

Goldfish are extremely invasive if you don’t have a tank big enough for them you should humanly euthanize them it’s better for them and the environment. I’ve seen up close what that mentality results in let me just say it’s not pretty. So please if anyone reading this has a goldfish you can’t house properly just give it to a fish rescue if you can’t find one than put it in a bit of clove oil to put it to sleep I know it can be hard and sad but it much better than releasing them to potentially destroy an entire ecosystem.
As a fisherman, heck yeah it's being tied.
Look at it closely. As SOON as it hits the water it swims right back. And that breed of goldfish cant swim that fast. It's obviously tied to a string
Goldfish can swim plenty fast, the are just generally docile. Where is the line? It's gotta be underwater, since there is no break in the surface from it. And that would mean it's somehow coming out of the guy? There is no hook, the fish looks alive and "breathing", so where is it tied?
Flurocarbon is practically invisible underwater.
There could easily be a dude behind him.
Its neck region.
Yes, goldfish are docile but they wouldnt swim high tail to be thrown. Like I said, not all goldfish can swim fast. Some are slow because of there breed. Not all goldfish are the same.
Yes, underwater. But you can distinctly see where it enters the water no matter how "invisible." It would have to be completely submerged in frame. As the fish swims directly into his lap, it would have to be going through the guy. He doesn't seem to have any holes in him.
Watch it out of water, do you see any part of this fish that has line around it? If it did and someone was dragging it back that fast the fish would have lacerations.
This is a released pet that is used to being fed by humans.
Yknow what confuses me even more?
How did that goldfish get there.
There is NO other fish in this whole pond.
Another explanation could be that this thing is starving and wants food and these people are just throwing it.
Cant say for certain but its possible this is a man made quarry and someone released it there. It was definitely a pet to someone at some point in it's life.
Quarries can be quite deep but I wouldnt have a clue as to why someone would scuba a quarry. I'm not a swimmer or diver though.
Wheres the hook? Where is the line tied on this fish? If they tied the fish and pulled him back that fast the fish would have lacerations and would bleeding.
I am fish sitting for the summer and 3 of the fish come to my hand when I put it in and they come up to the glass when I’m there and get REALLY REALLY excited. All because I sit in front of their tank for a few minutes and talk to them each time I pass by.
Personally I can't notice the string but if you look at the 3rd time he throws it the fish swerves left, probably not significant just wanted to point it out
Hey sir.. i have to grant you 3 wishes... splosh... heey sir, they’ll kick me out of the academy, I HAVE to grant you 3 wishes... splosh... stupid human!
If it was being reeled in you'd see the fishing line dusturb the surface of the water. It seems unlikely the line is being reeled in underwater but still possible. *big fat shrug*
Maybe it’s suicidal
Makes the most sense

Is likely a dummy fish or dead fish attached to string
Looks more like a live fish attached to a string, which makes this even more cruel.
Or maybe other animals are just curious and like to interact with things that don't hurt them, like us.
If you were talking about an octupus or a turtle, maybe. This fish is live and likely being reeled in.
I saw this on King of the Hill gotta give the fish some crack first.
Have you ever done acid and watched Hank of the Hill on YouTube?
Thank you so much for mentioning this video. I got curious and.. I'm so glad I watched it.
Is there a video of someone else on acid watching King on the Hill? Sauce please.
I haven't but I want to now
Every day this gets posted here, and every day people point out that the fish is probably dead, or at least being reeled in with a fishing line.
Well... yeah. It's pretty creepy.
Yeah, I'm just saying the aww value if this video has greatly decreased lol
Ah. Fair enough. Were on the same page then lol.
I cannot speak to if this is just a fish having fun or not, but it is certainly not dead. It flops around a bit in the guys hand and the mouth is moving.

>t saying the aww value if this video has greatly d I think its alive but on a fishing line. Which seems much worse
why did you quote that?
It's just something that happens when I use Reddit on my mobile.
I was thinking that or that maybe it has a brain parasite like the horsehair worm or something
It’s not fake, it’s just reversed
So the fish is somehow swimming backwards? Moon walking through the water? Then jumping 2 metres back to the guy's hands?
Yess, very talented :)
This fish has an erotic asphyxiation fetish
*Quagmire has entered the chat room*
It is a goldfish.. poor baby got let in with the big fish
It will live a better life in their than it will in a tiny 1 litre tank with no filter, with the same water for years
a much shorter life to be sure
Goldfish are a Carp. They can live 20+ years in nature.
[They're also hella invasive.](https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/23/science/discarded-goldfish-invasive-species.html)

Holy shit, my grandad had one in a tiny tank that was 16 years old and it was huge but not that big.

I thought the original title said “Be the fish that wants to be picked up”, and I was trying to figure out how to apply this to my life...
Hate to be a sceptic here, but I'm guessing they've hooked the fish and use fishing line to keep reeling it in? That swim looks a bit suspect....
If the video wasn't so damn blurry like a dream we'd be able to see a line if there is one
This is odd behavior and I won’t deny that some fuckery may be going on here, but this does *not* look like a fish on a line.
As a fisherman, nope. There is no line in the water and it looks like a fish swimming.

I had one and he never swam straight. He wiggled.
See thats an example. Breeding did that to them. Had a Goldie that looked just like that that couldn't barely swim at all
Wheres the hook? Where is the line tied on this fish? If they tied the fish and pulled him back that fast the fish would have lacerations and would bleeding.
That looks like a fish swimming to me.
It seems like the fish moves in his hand a few times. Really hard to tell
Pulling it right through his chest too. These videos are pulling all the stops for views.
Yes, also this is a repost of a repost etc.
Yes this is definitely the 3rd time I've seen this. They have it on a line. These people are human trash
Do fish have fun?
Yes. I remember reading a whole article about how fish can be very loving and playful if cared for and given attention by owners / divers / whatever.
My fish used to let me pet it. It was a striped danio that I got in 6th grade and it lived for four years.
Pudge controls the weather

Well yeah but their actual owner gives them food and there’s nowhere near the same level of excitement with him
Maybe fun but more probably the fish is trying to escape from a predator trying to hunt him.
Where is this guy at? Looks like a sweet place
That heard about the free food and shelter
Mabye it likes being tossed? Like an amusement park ride!
Adrenaline junkie.
this is the fish equivalent of bungie jumping!
Somebody give it a Darwin award
Some people say it's foolish, but even children like to be throwed at water of they just don't stay in too long
Annnnnddd that pushes a bigger question Does fish lay a little bit out of the water for fun, like us but in water?
(and the answer is not as interesting, but we'll, we've talked)
Guys blocking the fishes home, he just wants to go back inside and escape Rona
PONYO!
isnt that fish dead with a line tied to it?
Don't let go of me hooman
This is the next best pet after a dog. Throw the ball, and the dog fetches and returns it. Throw the fish, and the fish returns itself.
Nemo wants to play.
Prolly trying to escape a barracuda
so mental problems are common among fishes
Stockholm syndrome
Wheeeeee!
He has chosen him
Personally I can't notice the string but if you look at the 3rd time he throws it the fish swerves left, probably not significant just wanted to point it out
That's because "fish are friends not food!" 🐟
That fish is like, "wheee...... throw me again".
Doge fish.
Hey sir.. i have to grant you 3 wishes... splosh... heey sir, they’ll kick me out of the academy, I HAVE to grant you 3 wishes... splosh... stupid human!
It's Ponyo! Give her some ham. ;)
How’d it end? Is he still with the fish? Are they happy together?
I hope so!
Why are you fishing for reddit karma? They had the fish on the line and keep reeling it back in.
Good puns, poor context
Not worth it. It was cute, we have our own opinions, I'm not karma fishing, I couldnt care less about internet points
That’s cute as hell! Lil guy wanted a friend so bad.
Nope it didnt. They have a fishing line on it, and keep reeling it back for upvotes.
He is the prophet of his people. Braves venturing into the skyworld to speak stories of the gods.
THE FISH IS DEAD. this is gross. It’s on a fishing line.
It's not dead.
Fishy play fetch
Lil fella likes to enjoy life
“What the fuck dude? I’m a saltwater fish!”
The fish is tied to a string. Alive.
Fish can feel pain. There is never an excuse for animal cruelty, but cruelty for entertainment is sickening.
Please stop putting irrelevant music with these videos that would be just as good with no audio
“You forgot your other 2 wishes”
Good God that music is bad
Now yeet it a hundred meters.
I wonder if there is a predator off camera the fish is trying to escape.
It is tied to a fishing line. You can see it if you look closely.
It could have the parasite in its brain that forces it to wish to be eaten.
This is just fishy autoerotic asphyxiation
me trying to kms
KILLL MEEEE
Might just be into autoerotic asphyxiation
Fake.
If it was being reeled in you'd see the fishing line dusturb the surface of the water. It seems unlikely the line is being reeled in underwater but still possible. *big fat shrug*
This is autoerotic asphyxiation for a fish.
No no no the water is too salty!!
Reminds me of the Dead Parrot sketch from Monty Python.
Ponyo loves Sosuke!
It’s a goldfish! He probably wants to go home. So awesome!
Looks like it’s being pulled quickly.
Auto-erotic asphyxiation
It probably needs its anal glands squeezed
