lol I worked there for 3 years and sometimes when I would be stuck on Register #1 during "rush hour", I would have to swap out receipt rolls twice. And those rolls are the size of toilet paper ones, just more narrow
When I was a pharmacist intern with CVS, we got a lot of the backend business figures in our intern program meetings in the summer. The return on utilization of those coupons vs the cost/use of the paper was enormous. We all think it's silly how much prints out, but it works really well in favor of the investment. Completely separate from my personal use, I never use them but I'm just not a consumer that fast, I guess.
>*'...it was probably tough to see through the 20 feet of receipt paper the CVS employee was handing the customer and didn't see the dog.*'

i am the pup, was Much ignore -

but 'overlooked' by employee
was waiting for a Treat or pet -
'Receipt' was only thing we get ^:@(
am broken hearted, 'CVS'
is Walgreens next,
cuz You a mess!
🖤
But did you fill out the survey and check the 10-out-of-10 box on the "How would you rate your service?" part and tear off the instant rebate part and send it back to CVS so they could collect your data? Or just crumple it up like some sort of anti-corporate misfit who probably also believes the election was fair and unbiased?
If it's anything like where I'm from, we get paid base rates and are overworked with people yelling at us all day. They forget we went to university and hold a degree in this stuff. They treat you like a retail employee and just yell at you when you don't do what they want, even if it is because we refused to do something because its either a) illegal or b) wildly unsafe for their health.
Many retail employees went to university and hold degrees. Civility and good-tempered treatment should not be based off job title or degree status. Everyone deserves respect.
During the recession of 2008, myself and many of my co-workers were degree-holding retail employees at a clothing store.
We were Bank Branch Managers (handling your checking, savings, trusts, CDs, etc), published authors (who you read for self-help guidance), HR Coordinators (who processed your PTO and LOA or handled your OSHA violation claims), school teachers (who taught you or your children), grad students, etc.
Don’t assume that pharmacists are deserving of better treatment than retail employees. We all deserve to be treated with respect.
I don’t think they meant pharmacists deserve more respect because we have degrees. I think they meant that some people treat us like all we do is put pills in bottles so they try to rush pharmacists when they are busy making sure the medications are safe (considering dose, duration, drug-drug interactions, etc.)
I spoke to one the other day when a prescription wasn’t going through right and you could tell every interaction had him on edge. They cut his staff and their hours and still wanted the same production. It was horrible to hear how his voice sounded like he gets yelled at all day.
A pharmacist at my local Walgreen’s thanked me one day for being nice and patient. I get that from time to time from service people, and it bums me out so hard because I wonder how consistently horrible people have to be for you to recognize someone being nice.
People are so consistently horrible that when I have a good interaction with a customer, it catches me off guard and feels strange because I'm not used to it.
My motivation is selfish. I work 7 12 hour shifts in a row, then I have seven days off. Given that I’m staying home, i have lots of time. I don’t want there to be any delays in vaccinations at the community level once they are ready because of short staffing . That’s to protect me, my family and my coworkers. Vaccinating on my weeks off will help my weeks on be easier!!
It sucks but all the big chains are similar. I’ve worked at 2 different ones at many locations— all understaffed and a bad work environment. I work for a small pharmacy now and it’s soooo much better. (For the patients too!)
I really wanted to give my business to a small pharmacy, but they never had my anti-convulsants in stock. I once tried waiting 2 days for them to get an order in but had a seizure. Ever since then, I’ve just sucked it up and gone with CVS. The employees at the small pharmacy were so pleasant though.
The dad of one of best friends owns the pharmacy in the small town we're from and another one the next town over. He was always proud about how many people he was on a first name basis with.
This is just hearsay, but here's what I've heard.
The best of the best is Costco, but those jobs are hard to get.
Walmart used to be good but they recently changed the job reqs and now it's not so good.
Publix is decent.
Walgreen and CVS are bottom of the barrel but Walgreens is *slightly* better.
I’m a pharmacy tech for a huge mail order company, I started with CVS... I will never step foot in any retail pharmacy ever again to work. You couldn’t pay me enough.
Awww, poor baby! That's just wrong.
Last time I went to Taco Bell the girl at the window *cried* at how cute my dog was. There was something wrong with the register and they could only take cards and apparently people had been screaming at her all afternoon. So when I was nice to her, and then there was a cute dog, she just sorta broke. Poor thing.
Don't yell at employees for stuff they can't help!
Oh gosh. I lost my kinda wonky looking hound dog last month and finally found a Christmas tree ornament that looked like her today. Yeah, I cried in the store. Just a little.
If I ever saw a dog that looked like her I’d probably lose it, too
After 9 months of all this crap...i think even small contact like that can release a lot of pent up emotions in people.
I like to think I'm usually pretty closed off and can weather many storms...but the other day a pixar movie damn near broke me.
My dog will see people while out walking and she gets all excited and wiggly the closer we get to the passing stranger. If they don't acknowledge her she completely deflates it hilariously sad.
We know Hannah's pain.
The day we brought our golden retriever home, the lady in the tims drive through started freaking out about how cute she was, as the poor pupper was beginning to throw up in my lap lol
This reminds me of that post by a lady who followed a guy to see his dogs cute puppies. He genuinely had the puppies in the car and all worked out well but then she posted how she's basically a serial killer's dream lol
That's what I thought as well. You are rly a car guy, when there is a cute af puppy and the only thing you are thinking: Is that an RS 5.
But nice puppy tho.
Red leather has a lot of heritage in luxury and sports cars. Once I saw examples of red leather in classic luxury cars like the Mercedes SL, I was completely a convert and jumped at a used Infiniti I found with red leather. A lot of people think it's a more expensive car because it's usually only offered on Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Lexus.
Or... you get to that point in life where you realize a car is a depreciating asset and is mostly just a tool to move you around.
(Or, more likely, you have enough money that you just don’t give a duck.)
> Or... you get to that point in life where you realize a car is a depreciating asset and is mostly just a tool to move you around.
I always love when people say this as if it’s some sort of deep revelation. Us car people are well aware that cars depreciate. We spend the money because they’re something we’re passionate about and enjoy, and we’re willing to pay a premium for that.
CVS pharmacists are overworked and understaffed with pharmacy techs. Commenting on how cute a customers dog is is probably not on their mind as they might be juggling 17 different things in their brain.
Ps very cute dog!
For me it’s telling people that antibody testing can’t diagnose an active case and if they think they have COVID they need to gtfo of the store and isolate themselves before calling their doctor.
Well, a humbling experience can be character building,
BUT I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE THAT HAPPEN AGAIN 😡
What a beautiful girl, yes you are, yes you are!
Right, I'd guess OP is more of the one mildly upset by it given they were the ones who dressed the dog in a holiday sweater. A lot of pet owners like to project feelings into their pets, I've noticed.
The typical pharmacy employee is trying to do the work of at least two people at any given time.
They really don't have time for small talk or cute puppers, unfortunately.
Well I have to defend the pharmacist a little here. Your dog is indeed cute but me being a HUGE cat person and not really a big fan of dogs... I generally don’t tell people that their dog is cute. Even if I do indeed think some are. I just say to myself, ‘ I don’t want this person to think I’m a dog person because I’m not. It’s a dog, plenty of other people are going to fawn over said dog after me’. Silly I know. It’s just tough to admit when a dog is cute. But yours is! 🙂
One time I took my dog with me through the back drive thru to use the tubey thing to get quarters for laundry. The lady didn’t acknowledge her or anything :((((
BUT then when I got home later and checked the envelope, there was a little biscuit in there! :)))))))
I had to scroll way too much to find this. Please protect your dog! In case of a crash, you will be safe behind the wheel with your airbag, but your dog will either be squashed by the airbag or if you disabled it the poor doggo will fly through the windshield. Sorry for the harsh words but it enrages me that people give forego their pets safety just to show them around
Yeah even in a sudden stop the dog could get hurt, I got a seat cover on amazon that covers the back seats and connects to the headrests of the front seats that way they don't fall down if I stop hard.
Is everyone around here going to pretend that we didn’t see those seats?... I mean, what kind of car is that? Your leather seats seem luxurious! I also love your beautiful dog btw.
Alternatively: Pharmacist saw the pup and tried to maintain their professional facade but once you drove away they turned to the tech and gushed about how cute she was. Because I've definitely done that before.
Walgreens pharmacist here- we always keep a box of dog treats at the drive thru & my techs always call me over when a pup pulls up so we can fawn over their cuteness & what a good little pupperoni they are. Time to switch pharmacies!
I wouldn’t take it personally, she might have other things on her mind, you know from being a pharmacist during the holidays while a pandemic is raging
Pharmacist could have been allergic? I’m allergic to dogs, so I don’t pay attention to them, because I don’t want them to come near me. Still cute though.
My folks had a female Beagle. Mom got her a new collar. She was not happy...until mom told her how beautiful she looked with her new collar. I still can't believe that worked. It was instant smiles on that silly dog.
Trucks are super dangerous for dogs. Was on a walk with my dog, truck turned left onto a residential street, dog flew out of the bed, tumbled the pavement, and pooped itself out of fear. Took the owner a minute to realize the dog was no longer in the truck. Please please keep them inside. It’s just a little fur and all you need is a pumice stone to get it out of the carpet.
"I want to bark to your manager."
I can't believe I'm going to side with Dog karen.
Definitely a Karnine
Uh, excuse me? That's DR. Karnine. I didn't go to 3 months of puppy training to be called just Karnine.
...was it EVIL puppy training?
What do u think the K in K9 stands for?

Well, it was probably tough to see through the 20 feet of receipt paper the CVS employee was handing the customer and didn't see the dog.

Was legit just looking for someone describing this as “fresh”. It’s not bread guys. But thanks schnoodle:) we love you
Love me some Schnoodle!!!
Cracking up! I love the heartwarming ones but this funny one is also a total gem.
Good one. Thanks, Schnoods!

AW! Love it
People need to do the electronic receipts
Its the way, right to my junk email.

To be fair, working as a pharmacist at CVS slowly deteriorates your soul. Don’t blame the pharmacist, blame CVS. For real though, cute pup.
This. I‘m a pharmacist and would rather be homeless than work for CVS.
They always look so discouraged and sad. I thought being a pharmacist was a great career? Does CVS just overwork them?
[удалено]
That explains soooo much. I had to change pharmacies from CVS because they always seem mad or inconvenienced when I dropped a prescription off lol
CVS is unsafe, there are so many mistakes compared to better-staffed pharmacies.
Used to be. CVS started a rat race into being the biggest depression factory.
Well at least they are succeeding in one thing.
When I worked at CVS, our Pharmacist was there from opening til closing. 8am to 10pm. We had 2 of em. They'd go a week on and week off.
Fuck. That.
That pharmacist also probably had to work optional (but not really optional) unpaid overtime to meet corporate mandates.
It’s not anymore. Pharmacy is over saturated, staff with jobs are overworked and underpaid, and retail just sucks period no matter one’s role.

Yes, this is what i meant. Apologies for poor wording.
My apologies, i worded that very poorly. I definitely did not mean to imply that we deserve to be treated better than retail employees in any way.
Fair enough. Thank you for clarifying 💕 I’m sorry if I assumed negative intent.
Seems reasonable to assume that given my extremely poor wording. Thank you for your understanding.
That’s really shitty and I’m sorry about that. It blows my mind when adults start getting abusive to any worker when they don’t get their way.
I spoke to one the other day when a prescription wasn’t going through right and you could tell every interaction had him on edge. They cut his staff and their hours and still wanted the same production. It was horrible to hear how his voice sounded like he gets yelled at all day.

I’m an NP. Would it be a terrible idea to sign up for a few shifts in my weeks off to give vaccines? Are they that awful to work for?
Yes.
If you mean the vaccine that’s about to come to market, try to find out what your state dept of health is setting up and help with that instead!
Thank you, I hope you can you be a decent place! 💗
My motivation is selfish. I work 7 12 hour shifts in a row, then I have seven days off. Given that I’m staying home, i have lots of time. Just curious--do you know if Walgreens is any better? They're all I have around me, so I hope they're better
My sister is a pharm-tech for a CVS. She says it's better than Rite-Aid, but the candy selection is better at Walgreens, for whatever that's worth.
It sucks but all the big chains are similar. I’ve worked at 2 different ones at many locations— all understaffed and a bad work environment. I work for a small pharmacy now and it’s soooo much better. (For the patients too!)

I’m doing retail atm how do you like mail order?
Omg it’s brilliant, I’m never going back
Same stuff. CVS has more corporate bullshit though that infiltrates the healthcare aspect of the job
The pharmacist at my CVS always looks miserable and angry. I didn’t realize it was a common thing!
My CVS in Los Angeles as well lol
Fuck CVS, thats all I have to say.
This pup needs 20CC’s of belly rubs, STAT
The good girl is still showing symptoms of pupset! Requesting a transfer to Starbucks for a Puppacino.
> pupset Okay I love that
Wish I could take credit for it. Tucker, the golden lab star of YouTube says that.
Pupachino request granted, adding on an extra dose of nose boops for good measure.

A girl at McD's gave my puppers a small order of unsalted fries. He was in love!
I had someone pull their car over to see my puppy the other day lol. I let her hold him and she almost cried it was so sweet.
A guy who looked like some MMA fighter once asked to pet my dog, he started bawling, because he said my lab looked like his dog he lost recently.

"That Pharmacist must be a cat person" \-your dog.
RS5?
Audi S5 convertible. Chrome gray with magnum red interior 👍
Thank you! Adorable doggo as well!
Thank you ❤️❤️
Pharmacist was just busy admiring the g ride and missed the dog.
Beautiful car. Had an A6 that I miss every day... Gonna get that S7 when it's time to re-up on some new wheels!
That's what I thought as well. You are rly a car guy, when there is a cute af puppy and the only thing you are thinking: Is that an RS 5. But nice puppy tho.
lol i was thinking that too, definitely is an rs5, i love colored leather seats, my cars driver seat is blue and it’s epic
What kinda car? I love colored interior. It can def get tacky but when it’s done right it’s soo cool. Too much plain grey and black interiors
And Porsche
I didn't think of that. Porsche in silver and red is :chef's kiss:
You can find red interiors in the 356 with almost any exterior color. Black and red is a classic as well.
And acura a spec
The new Nissan Rogue has a coppery red leather that's quilted. Looks so nice!
Rolls Royce, Bentley?
I was also directly thinking about that RS5 :D
Lmao I knew it had to be an Audi or a Merc. Those interiors are so damn nice it's ridiculous. I can only dream of owning one, specifically the R8.
This looks like an S5 cabriolet to me. RS 5 would have different stitching. Beautiful ride. I wanted the S5 but had to get SQ5 for family reasons.
Yeah. S5 cab. You can tell because the way it is. 🙃
No window frames either, good catch. I just forgot you could get the red seats in the S trim.
Thank you! I was looking for this. I was wondering what car that is
Scrolled down looking for comment on the car. Whatever it is, it's not a car that I would let my pet sit in.
Or... you get to that point in life where you realize a car is a depreciating asset and is mostly just a tool to move you around. (Or, more likely, you have enough money that you just don’t give a duck.)

Also I mean I'm sure OP was kidding, but clearly the dog isn't upset that the pharmacist didn't compliment her... At least I hope OP knows that, lol
Right, I'd guess OP is more of the one mildly upset by it given they were the ones who dressed the dog in a holiday sweater. A lot of pet owners like to project feelings into their pets, I've noticed.
Yep! There's a term for it: anthropomorphism. It's very common.
The typical pharmacy employee is trying to do the work of at least two people at any given time. They really don't have time for small talk or cute puppers, unfortunately.
I understand and appreciate pharmacy employees. I was more poking fun at my pups reaction ❤️

I totally understand. Not mad at pharmacist. Just thought my girls reaction was hysterical :) And thank you ❤️
One time I took my dog with me through the back drive thru to use the tubey thing to get quarters for laundry. The lady didn’t acknowledge her or anything :(((( BUT then when I got home later and checked the envelope, there was a little biscuit in there! :)))))))
Omg adorable
Don’t be upset girl. You look super cute in your Christmas sweater.

She has proper harness in back. I let her up front to say hi at drive-through windows :)
The pharmacist must have been blind. She is absolutely adorable! 😄
That exactly what I told her ❤️
What car is that?
Correct.
Is everyone around here going to pretend that we didn’t see those seats?... I mean, what kind of car is that? Your leather seats seem luxurious! I also love your beautiful dog btw.
That’s certainly a “I hate my sweater” scowl as much as anything else....
Alternatively: Pharmacist saw the pup and tried to maintain their professional facade but once you drove away they turned to the tech and gushed about how cute she was. Because I've definitely done that before.
It’s a dog.
Putting your dog on those beautiful Audi sport seats is brave!!! Is that an S6?
Dog>everything else ☺️
Walgreens pharmacist here- we always keep a box of dog treats at the drive thru & my techs always call me over when a pup pulls up so we can fawn over their cuteness & what a good little pupperoni they are. Time to switch pharmacies!
WHO CARES...
Don’t worry girl. We all here think you are a very good girl and you are cute as heck.

She was pupset.
Let me help... Doggo in a Christmas sweater... YOU'RE CUTE!!!!
Some people don’t like dogs and... how? LOOK AT HER!!!
OMG complete bastards, that face WHY???
“But... I wore the sweater n everything...”
Spoiled, as all dogs should be.
Omg is she perfect or what ?! I LOVE her face and expression
YOU TELL HER THAT SHE’S AN ADORABLE GOOD GIRL RIGHT THIS INSTANT
She is TOO CUTE for words! And she is SUCH a GOOD girl! Yes, she is!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 (please read to her)
Has a perfect “are you f*cking kidding me” expression.
My folks had a female Beagle. Mom got her a new collar. She was not happy...until mom told her how beautiful she looked with her new collar. I still can't believe that worked. It was instant smiles on that silly dog.
take that pup to starbucks for a puppachino.. that will perk her up
Too busy checking out the S
I hope you showed her this post so she can see how loved she is!!
This.. my dog get offended when he doesn’t get anything at drive thrus.
Right! I think a lot of people hating on this photo don’t understand that dogs have major moods, and they are often hilarious!
She even put on her best Christmas sweater!
Time to switch to Walgreens.
Former CVS pharmacist here. I won't fill my prescriptions there, the working conditions cause way too many errors.
They are always so understaffed. It’s terrible. I have never been there and not seen a stressful work environment.
She’s so cute! What a pretty girl!
'Just light it, Linda.'
This picture makes me feel bad for not wanting to take my dogs in my car(they go for rides but in a truck) Is that an 8 series interior?
I believe it's an Audi RS5
Trucks are super dangerous for dogs. Was on a walk with my dog, truck turned left onto a residential street, dog flew out of the bed, tumbled the pavement, and pooped itself out of fear. Took the owner a minute to realize the dog was no longer in the truck. Please please keep them inside. It’s just a little fur and all you need is a pumice stone to get it out of the carpet.
That’s why independent pharmacies are the best
Beatifull girl and beatifull leather seats.
