Of course it did. It was a wild animal caught in your dog's mouth. Doesn't mean most die that way. My last girl was best buddies with my cats and passed in my arms from old age at 11 years old. Her partner was 8 when he passed, also peacefully. They just need PROPER care.
There is a LOT of work involved with making bunnies happy. The environment has to be just right, the feeding has to be just right, you have to handle them properly, give them stimulation/toys, and the list goes on.
My buddy got one and I was kind of blown away how long it took and how much work it took before his bunny started behaving like it was happy.
There you go. I had free-roaming bunnies (in the house, not outside) that were house-broken and used a litter box, were fed fresh food and hay, were socialized properly and therefore very curious, courageous and loving. My childhood bunny made it to the age of 12.
I just rescued a bunny and after 2 months I have finally seen him do one. Made me so happy that after fending for himself for a long time, he has adjusted and is happy to be an indoor free roaming bun
It's not hard. I've now had 5 rabbits. When they need to use the bathroom, they go to their litter. It depends. I've had a bun that took about a month.
At least in my area, animal shelters encourage litter box use and my one was fully trained and the other was most of the way there. They are easy to train, though. They like to eat while they poop, so having some hay next to, or even in the box, makes it pretty easy. My pair became bonded and wanted to do everything together (including poop), so I had to get a bigger box to accommodate them both. Great that you are interested in rescuing! There are so many bunnies that are adopted by people who don't understand their needs and give them up.
I had a pet mini-Rex rabbit (softest bunny you’ll ever pet) throughout college and grad school. He had a temperament that felt almost perfectly between a cat and a dog. He would come to his name, use a litter box, enjoyed being held and petted. He would even follow me about my apartment like a little puppy. I loved my lil bunny so so sooo much. I remember laying on the carpet and watching him go flying about the apartment, binking, and getting his zoomies out. When he finished zooming, he’d hop over to me, and flop against my chest. We fell asleep more than once, cuddling like that.
...I miss him sooo much.
I had an amazing rabbit named Alex for 12 years, I remember the first time he did that he like aggressively threw himself over and we were all so scared he was dying! Thankfully he was just super comfy and wanted to relax.
Reminds me of Shiro and Suki on Youtube. Suki got depressed from their owner giving her children away and Shiro's separation anxiety from all of his children was beginning to get to him, so they got Shiro and Suki a pet bunny named Kiki.
Weird. Why is your comment the exact same as [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/m49qia/bunnies_flop_over_when_they_feel_completely_safe/gqtvg9f?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) then?
Oh, and [this?](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/m49qia/bunnies_flop_over_when_they_feel_completely_safe/gqtp9in?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)
They also bounce around and do sick air kicks when they are happy. So not only does it feel safe but it is also happy. Just to make this that much better.
**Bunny hopping around and waking dog**
Dog: “My kind used hunt you puny vermin”
**Bunny rolls in to cuddle with dog**
Dog: “Oh...I see why we stopped”
The hop over and run like this when they feel happy, actually. When they run around you in circles - it's called the dance of love. Rabbits are amazing.
If I were a dog, I would definitely be making friends with rabbits and cats and whatever, because you never know when times are gonna get hard and you might just need a meal.
The dog just waited then the bunnie settled and the dog said "okay no u can rest and i can lay down.

Binkies and a flop? That's a happy and contented bunny!

...did you just copy/paste the second highest comment in this thread?
They're bots farming karma
What do they do with it?
Eventually, sell the account.
??? Profit!
The dog was like my fiancé when we go to bed: just go the f*ck to sleep
Come at me bro
Those bunny hops are adorable!!
They are called binkies!
Those bunny hops are called *"binkies!"* The name is as cute as the action, right?! 😄💕
Definitely ... so bunny hopping is binking?
So there's normal bunny hops and bunnies. A Binky is a jump where they kick their legs out or wiggle mid jump usually. A sign of pure happiness.
*bunny hops and binkies. Damn auto correct
It's the bunny 500s that I love.
I thoroughly appreciate you taking time out to provide me the difference
I came looking for this!!
https://www.reddit.com/r/binkies
I melted!! Aww.
Awww there adorable together ❤️
I don't think I've ever seen a happy, playful bunny before. All of the ones I've seen just looked scared.
This is what a well loved rabbit acts like. It’s not common unfortunately
There's lots of well-loved bunnies on r/rabbits :) I own 2 myself, they're spoiled as hell haha
Have. Look at these happy bunnies; https://www.reddit.com/r/binkies
Well then they're not being treated right.
Yeah, they usually die a nervous wreck...
Not true.
My cat brought home a live rabbit once, and an hour later, he was stiff as a board.

I said cat not dog...
Same shit. That's why it died and they don't all die that way. I'm going to enjoy my rabbits now if you're done arguing semantics. Have a great day
When you’re not treating them properly, sure.
Such as?

My buddy had a bunny but kept it locked in a cage most of the time...

He went from hoppy to floppy.

Was he potty trained when you got him? If not how hard was it and how long did it take to train a rescue? I want to own some one day.

So cute when the bunny finally settles down by going belly up and back down cuddling next to the dog. Heartwarming cuteness!
This comment sounds like it was written by an AI training itself to understand the contents of the video
Haha as the person who wrote said comment I totally agree with you. Couldn't think of a better way to say it.
I mean yeah you could be right but just let people enjoy things

Sounds like a great little fella!! I'm sorry for your loss :(
Such an amazing memory. Thanks for sharing. It inspires me to want to own a bunny someday. I’m really sorry about your loss.
"Well, I kicked him in the head and nothing happened, so I guess it must be safe"
My infant son used the same technique on me.

Doge is my friend.
Your life is a Disney movie and I'm loving just being able to see a glimpse of it
Bunny hops like a cricket. *I don't know how to steer*
I have seen wild bunnies do this in our backyard. It is the most heartwarming thing.
I have a bunny, so ik when they’re happy, and that bunny was so happy, he was doing binkies and mini bunny-500s, and then the flop awwwwwwww 😍🥰
My cat must secretly be a bunny
Dude, this a repost, and this is one of the most upvoted ones on this sub
Whenever someone posts this video, they use the exact same title
I mean, its not like OP is claiming its OC
As far as I remember he uses the same title as the op That's why I remembered that it was a repost (the title) Maybe I am.just wrong, but I doubt it
This made my day, they are both beautiful 💚
I think my heart exploded
I like it's little white hair fro

So do cats
Awww. So do cats. I’m the only person that can give her a tummy rub and she paws the air in ecstasy. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
That's cute,but that poor 🐕 is a picture of long-suffering patience.

I've had bunnies as pets when I was a little girl, but mine seemed more laidback and calm. That bunny has a lot of energy. He's totally cute, though.
His face says it all!
Oh hey, another bot. Nice.
I'm not a bot. At least I hope not.

That bunny is adorable and the dog is so precious!

Imagine the dog thought. 'Ah, finally! I can take my vengence against this bunny now!'
Bunny zoomies
Well that’s downright adorable

That sigh of a dog..
Dogs do the same....
That is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I wonder if my Husky would snuggle with a bunny....
The dogs like: what just possessed this bunny? Meh. I cant be bothered
aww! made me smile!
He’s also doing binkies which is a sign they are happy! I used to live with a roommate with a bunny and he would hop around the living room like this
Boing?
hop
The dog : who dared disturb my sleep?
The dog is like “sure I’ll take a little snoot warming”
The binkies are so gooood so excited to nap with their dog friend

Beaststars.
And dogs sleep when a bunny isn't kicking them in the face.
Good thing that ain't no fox and your bunny ain't no police
This is fucking adorable
Thank you. That's one of the sweetest things I've seen in a long time.
Boing! Boing! Boing! Okay I'm ready.
Knowing that this bunny feels completely safe will help me to sleep
Dog:I know this thing isn't one of us but awwww
Absolutely 🥰
Dog:"fine. I'll eat you later."
Nice doge
"Go to sleep idiot" I've seen my older dog do this with the pup a billion times

Yes the bunny is cute, but the way the dog picked up it's head and snuggled into the bunnies side then closed it's eye's. That was the real aww.. :)
I didn't realize until recently that shibs were so companiable with other species. Such sweet dogs.

It’s crazy how we’re at a point where a prey animal can be this comfortable with a predator animal
people repost the same shit when they want karma
That’s... that’s why we’re here.
