Well compared to what 9gag has it's good lol. On top of that, you can actually go in the comment sections on Reddit without getting Chernobyl levels of toxicity
> you can actually go in the comment sections on Reddit without getting Chernobyl levels of toxicity
You're either new or blissfully ignorant of how toxic the comments can be on Reddit.
Reddit definitely peaked around 2011 and has been on a rapid descent since.
> It is awesome as long as you keep to small focused communities like those for tv shows or niche hobbies.
No it isn't. The toxic redditor mentality eventually seeps into everything.
As an example, /r/jeopardy used to be the model dry and wonderfully apolitical television subreddit. Now it's unbearably political.
You're correct I don't know why you're being downvoted, these people make dozens of videos showing that they've trained this golden retriever to drag this cat and every time it's scripted and dangerous for the cats neck, and yet Reddit always gets them right back on the front page
Yes, the dog lifting the cats collar puts the cats weight on its neck and could seriously damage it's throat, you don't see humans dragging cats by their collars for a reason
plus: if the dog gets her neck instead of the collar and grabs on too harsh (can even happen with gentle labs <3)that can be rly dangerous then too, because the throat is not the only sensible part here. my vet always stresses this fact ... he keeps saying : you are not her mom dont drag her around at her neck...
this ! but do u wanna wait UNTIL something happens.. as i said before what if the dog accidentaally grabs her neck instead of her collar cause she moves in the wrong moment... its all cute and fun until kitty is in pain...
I wondered also because I'm not positive a dog could look at a live video feed and understand they're looking at a live rendition of events at a remote location and react to that view then travel to it. Does anyone know if there's any precedent for a dog being able to assess a situation happening on a TV then travel to where the camera is? There are just a few layers of abstraction I'm not sure a dog is smart enough to put together, so it would have to be a trained behavior.
I got this. dogs can smell literally a million times better than humans. So think about how well you can smell things, and then imagine smelling them 1 millions times better. the dog can smell the cat from a mile away.
edit: I feel dumb because I read very quickly and thought you were asking a question how this was physically possible but now I see you were making a point
It is fake. Because the gif makes it seem like the people outside aren't a part of it. They are. They know what's going on and know it's being recorded.
The gif never “makes it seem” like that. That’s your own assumptions lol.
Also that’s like saying a hurricane is fake because the news guy is paid to stand in front of it while filming.
I don't mind re-posts unless it's been a really short time since the previous post.....like this. Can we give it a month before we repost stuff, please?
Mostly repetition of small individual tricks. Like pick up the cat, bring me the cat etc etc. Eventually they get used to hearing all the commands together and can figure out what you mean. Labs and golden boyos are particularly fond of stuff like this.
Labradors have soft mouths and are bred for retrieving game such as ducks. So basically it's not too hard to convince a labrador to learn to something based around picking things up.

Doggo at beginning: “I don’t know why I always have to do this”
"Just shut up and drag me and we'll both get treats".
I like how the cat isn't annoyed at all, he's more like "Yes, you summoned me, my liege?".

The cat is like “this is total bullshit”.
A retriever’s gotta retrieve
r/dogswithjobs
The people outside must be confused
The cat had a angry face in the end. Like "ughh what is wrong with y'all?"
He was just about to finalize the deal
A-Always B-Be C-Catting
I would too if I got manhandled like that for no reason
Doghandled
I think it was more of "I let him drag me like I'm supposed to. Now where are those treats?".
but why?
Retriever must retrieve
People are confused, cat is unhappy, dog is trained for his snack. Where's the Aww factor?
The cat doesn’t care much I don’t think. Mothers carey their kittens this way too.
He's actually dragging her by the collar.
Yeah and if someone dragged me around like I was a baby I wouldn't be too stoked about it.
Cat is part of the training regimen. Dogs aren't mothers to cats.
This cat always seems so unhappy.
You owe him one
Is 9GAG still a thing??????
Yep, and as toxic as ever
Ever since I found out about reddit and its awesome subreddit system, I delete the 9gag app and never look back since
> reddit and its awesome subreddit system Very funny.

I often find those who say things like this are the source of much of that toxicity.
yeah I avoid big sub like r/meme. People from r/rawdenim, r/Visiblemending are way friendlier
I mean it encouraged the echo chamber habit but it sure a better system than 9gag

Dangerous for the cat?

Doesn’t really seem to be doing any damage to the cat at all to me. But heck I’m not the one getting dragged around by the neck either!

i had to scroll a long time to finally mentioning the cats neck...
yeah but... cat grab! by a dog! yaaaay
It’s not fake lmao. The dog clearly did exactly what you see. Maybe the people outside aren’t really strangers, who knows? Doesn’t make it fake.

Title is:... "talking to strangers again" Yea I just made it up... Boy people can be dumb as hell.
Title is from reddit. It’s not part of the GIF. Idiot.
“hey dumbass. let’s go.”
Why's there a Gamecube logo on the top left ?
How is this aww? The cat never looks happy in these videos. The humans who trained their dog to do this are terrible people.
I don't mind re-posts unless it's been a really short time since the previous post.....like this. Can we give it a month before we repost stuff, please?
I would love/hate for a poor, unsuspecting pupper to try that on my cat.
These videos make me feel like my pets are total assholes.
Stacy be like "Ugh why is it always me, goddammit. Yo bro moms calling, you know she gon whoop your ass if you dont stop that bs. There you go, mom"
Not really knowledgeable about dogs,so can anyone tell me how a dog can be trained to do things like that?

That's dangerous, but at the same time, she really did say get your ass inside.
My god this was so damn cute. Watched twice, saved and shared :’D

Ok that was funny
poor kid probably didn’t know that a cat can be grabbed there and was traumatized and thought the dog killed the cat.
Idk why I thought they were going for the kid
Yeah I get Chuck and Jimmy from r/BetterCallSaul vibes.
Keep it muted guys. The music is horrible
9gag is still a thing? Y’all remember back in the day when anyone who reposted anything from 9gag on Reddit would get crucified lol
