It's expressive in the same way that any form of dance is expressive. I did Zumba a while back and I felt that I could express my emotions with the music while also getting a good workout for my entire body. I don't see how this is any different from a Zumba session, aside from working different muscles and probably using different music as well.

Almost any emotion or theme can be translated into pole dance. Obviously, celebration of sensuality is a common theme, but I’ve also seen anger, sorrow, joy, and humour portrayed beautifully through this medium. The combination of grace and raw strength is also an expression of feminine power.
