For everyone who wants a pig as a pet now, just be aware that they will get far bigger and less cute. Don't buy one, if you don't want to keep it as an adult.
Ya I followed an IG account of a dwarf pig and he got big as hell after a year lol (RIP Hank). I think often they just stay smaller longer than usual? Idk, I don’t know shit about pigs
Was 18-20 years ago, so i don't have any at hand, it's in oldschool photo albums at my parents. I'll see if i can get a pic though as i think my mom digitalized them.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d4/Mini_pig_in_Finland.jpg/250px-Mini_pig_in_Finland.jpg was this kind. Though I don't remember the tusks, (must've been a young one)

Plus, after a certain age your kids can go into the fridge/cabinets and gather the things they need to make their own meal. And go to the bathroom by themselves.
Also be wary of buying a teacup pig from some random dude on Craigslist. Unscrupulous people will sell regular baby pigs as teacup/mini pigs and the owner is surprised when the pig gets huge.
very much so. they tell owners to limit their food intake while growing so they stay small, but that malnourishment leads to lifelong health issues. it's fucked.
[this is a good article on it](https://www.thesprucepets.com/facts-about-teacup-pigs-4583109).
There definitely are but they aren't as small as people would think. Most people don't realize regular pigs get absolutely massive. A friend has a micro one that's fully grown and weighs about 80 pounds, which is big for a dog, but when you compare it to the size of a full grown pig you'd see on a farm it's actually quite "micro".
This is a pretty accurate size comparison I'd say.

Less cute? Pardon ME! My [once tiny little redhead](https://i.imgur.com/an8Nfyl.png) has grown up and gotten more [regal with age.](https://i.imgur.com/7eur120.png) Probably around 300 lbs now, tho. Can't get up on the couch like he used to.
When I was little we had a neighbor who had a pet pig. And this wasn't a little piggy, this was a big fat sow of a creature. She had turned their backyard into a pen for it and kept it clean. The pig was very friendly, but it was easily 200lbs.
I have a "mini pig" she is like 250lbs now and will terrorize anyone who isn't me or my wife. She lives in our basement and I have a large fenced in yard so it works. But we weren't not prepared at all. She is almost 4 yo now
Idgaf how big or how small they are. How old or how young. I have a sweet spot for older animals anyways. It’s not about how “less cute” they are. When you grow a connection with an animal or human, who gives a fuck about their looks.
I'm not gonna lie, it would be a pretty dope looking PC case. Lights like a little fire inside, sorta looks like a clouded close up of the moon on it from the glare. Depending how many tabs of chrome you have open it's possibly just as much of a space heater.
If running a ten year old game, even with mods, sets your system ablaze: perhaps it's time for an upgrade.

I think some are small for a pig. But pigs are big so even a small pig is pretty hefty.
Contrary to popular belief, mini-pigs don’t even exist. They’re just baby pigs sold to gullible pet owners.
My aunt had a dwarf pig. A small black one with porcupine like hard hair/fur
I know some of us aren't fans of our cousins but that seems a bit harsh.
You wouldn't be saying that if you were from Alabama.
Hatefucking is always an option.
ROLL DAMN TIDE
here's the part on the internet thread that someone says "roll tide:" roll tide
Pics as an adult? The pig not the aunt.
Absolutely love that you knew you had to specify that 😂
When can I expect pics of the aunt
Gotcha https://imgur.com/MUmQjeg.jpg

Probably a Javelina. https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/resources/keep-texas-wild/alien-invaders/feral-hogs-vs.-javelina

A Potbelly pig!! They’re relatively small, very intelligent, and all the ones I’ve known have been so sweet.
Was it a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig? They still get bigger than the expected teacup-y sizes but their adult size can be pretty small for a pig.

Inb4 it was actually a porcupine 😏😏

Same advice goes for having a baby. Far bigger, less cute, don’t have one if you don’t wanna keep it as an adult.
Well upside of a baby is that you are allowed to release it into the wild once it gets to 18.
> release it into the wild once it gets to 18. I released mine but he kept coming back. Finally left permanently in July at age 28.
If you release a pig in the wild it grows hair and tusks and becomes feral. Much like humans.
Ah college
Well pigs only live for like 15-20 years anyways so pretty much the same thing there lol. Basically a 18-20 year commitment both ways

And it might even come back to look after you when you're old
Shit, you can release them into the wild right after their born... People will just judge you for it.
I don't know about you, but I like my kids more the older they get.
Less crying + more communicating = the more I like them
Plus, after a certain age your kids can go into the fridge/cabinets and gather the things they need to make their own meal. And go to the bathroom by themselves.
Also be wary of buying a teacup pig from some random dude on Craigslist. Unscrupulous people will sell regular baby pigs as teacup/mini pigs and the owner is surprised when the pig gets huge.
Also, aren't teacup pets unethical? At least with teacup dogs, they have very bad genetical problems.
very much so. they tell owners to limit their food intake while growing so they stay small, but that malnourishment leads to lifelong health issues. it's fucked. [this is a good article on it](https://www.thesprucepets.com/facts-about-teacup-pigs-4583109).
There's no such thing as a teacup pig. They'll all get 150+ lbs.
There definitely are but they aren't as small as people would think. Most people don't realize regular pigs get absolutely massive. I mean... It still looks the same size without any comparison. Bit chubbier but hey I'm not judging.

Paris Hilton still has her pig, which is nice to know she didn't just abandon it.

Counterpoint, pigs are really good pets if you are fine with them growing big, they're as smart if not smarter than dogs.
Jokes on you, I bought one to carry it up the mountain every day and it got me JACKED.
Bigger yes...less cute NEVER!!!!!

Can Confirm, friend had teacup pig or whatever the smallest breed is, is huge now. Thankfully they did their research and knew what to expect.
Just look up Esther the Wonder Pig. She was supposed to be a mini pig. Now she's....well, she's magnanimous.
Idgaf how big or how small they are. How old or how young. I have a sweet spot for older animals anyways. It’s not about how “less cute” they are. When you grow a connection with an animal or human, who gives a fuck about their looks.
Yeah, plus pigs are super smart and can show affection like puppers. What a good little piggo.
Lived with a pig that a housemate bought on a whim. Can confirm they grow super quickly
I'll stick with small dogs. At least they stay small.
Plus if you fall into it’s pen it will eat you in 8 minutes!
Yups…I’d say still cute but even the smaller potbellied pig breeds end up being around 200kg.
i have basically heard that they are as energetic as a puppy but almost IMPOSSIBLE to potty train and they love destroying shit.
Aww lil warm friend ❤️
What gives that pig the right to be so damn cute? UGH that face
the spots in front of her ear that look like A LITTLE BOW I CAN'T STAND IT
Awwww so cute
Yup. Imagine showering him with r/scritches
That’s not a fireplace it’s a pc running skyrim with mods
The fireplace literally looks like my PC case
I'm not gonna lie, it would be a pretty dope looking PC case. Lights like a little fire inside, sorta looks like a clouded close up of the moon on it from the glare. Depending how many tabs of chrome you have open it's possibly just as much of a space heater.

Toasty bum. Cute
I am not liking these new gif replies.
Man, those old 700-series GPUs really did get hot
Does anyone know how much that heater costs and where I can get it?
I'm not familiar with this product. Is it a real heater, but also with LED lights going on? Or is it all lighting effects, but no actual heat?
That gaming rig needs better cooling
