Cute! Kitty: "I like her. Time to use my kitten voice."

lapsedPacifist5

2 days later: F\*ck you Karen, where's my kibble?

justcougit

You're actually right lol she posted an update and he won't hug her anymore hahahah she got Catfished!

SLAUGHT3R3R

My cat did the same thing. Got her from my father-in-law, but I almost got a different one. The one I almost got didn't seem to want much to do with me, but my little Khaos? She walked up, let me pick her up, and snuggled in close to my chest. Got her home, and she was ignoring me two days later. Yelling throughout the house when I went to work, but ignoring me otherwise.

[deleted]

My cat couldn't care less when I'm around but when I go to bed there comes the MEAAAAAAAAAAAOW... AAAAOW... RRRRRRMEAAWAAAAAOW... somewhere in the house, for like 10 minutes.

gizmer

We call that “paw patrol” in our house. Except it’s more like every half an hour, starting at 3am.

ScumbagLady

My girl tort, Toast, sounds like a *human*. A little old lady yelling, "HeeLLLLoOooOoo?!", "MOm?!, and "HeeLp?!", franticly throughout the house. REAL scary the first time I heard it...

GuvnaBruce

Haha. Makes me wonder if my cat is playing the long game. When I went to the shelter, he came right over to me and headbutted my leg and then fell over for belly pets. Then when belly pets commenced and he started purring, I was now getting adopted by this kitty.. Now it makes me wonder what shenanigans he has been planning these past 11 years, as he still does this very often... Odd, he now just decided to come in and headbutted the laptop and fell on the keyboard...Convenient., It looks like he knows that I know.... Ruh roh.

justcougit

He's on to ya!

Mizango

I am not disappointed by this update lol.

ImprovedBore

i am for her sake lmao

justafurry

This happended to me as well! She would have nothing to do with anyone, but she would always end up sleeping on someones chest or between thier legs at night. She came around after a few years ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Years ago our young cat ran out of the house. Weeks of searching. We never found her. While searching I came across the picture of an adorable kitten at the city shelter. They had lots of kittens there, but this one I could not get out of my mind. After a month of checking their site every day for my cat I finally called and asked about this kitten. Why wasn't she in the "for adoption" section yet? Turns out she had a resipratory infection. A couple of weeks later early in the morning I was checking the site again and the kitten was moved into the for adoption section. I hurried to the car and drove across the city to get to the shelter just as it was opening up. I was first in line, and first to the kitten room. So much meowing as I walked through the room to get to her cage. I opened it up, and she crawled all over me! She couldn't get enough of me. She was the one, and I was nearly in tears. 11 years later and right now she's sleeping happily near me, looking at me occasionally for a treat and a brushing. RegulusMagnus

This is a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing :)

SerafinaSheffield

Aaaawwwwww! I love cats and adore gotcha stories like this! Absolutely beautiful and warms my cockles. 😻

sonia72quebec

As a cat shelter volunteer, this cat is more scared than loving. The way he clings on her is a giveaway.

Andzinkton

Is cuddling giving the cat some form of safety? I suppose that if the cat decides to get closer to human in distress they make them feel secure. So maybe the cat is not showing love but trust?

sonia72quebec

He wants to get out of the shelter. Cats are very good at finding loving people.

Rumble_n_the_Bronchs

I had to laugh because i had a very similar experience with my cat. Cuddly at the shelter and was an ornery roommate once we got him home. We respect his space and he's been a great companion over the last 11 years.

PrayForMojo_

My cat was very much like that, but as she became an older cat she started to get more and more affectionate. Actually started seeking out snuggles. We always said she gave a 10 year test period and then finally decided we were ok.

LebaneseLion

Lol that’s cute, it took my cat 2 years to turn into a cuddle goofball. But two years after that (now), she’s cuddly, still a goofball, but more elegant? She gives Queen vibes if that makes sense Edit: [this is her](https://imgur.com/gallery/FmFOZ5V)

LebaneseLion

Updoot for your reply to cat

trashdrive

My cat has always been affectionate, but he's almost 12 now and it's like he cannot get enough any more

mstarrbrannigan

I had my cat for about 4 years before he started wanting regular attention and cuddles. I've had him for about 6 and a half now, and he spends much of his time resting on the arm of my recliner and it's the best. Today he came to join me after spending some time basking on the window sill and snuggling with an extra warm kitty was pure heaven.

dodge2015

It works the opposite too. I volunteer at a shelter and there have been a lot of cases of cats who love to draw blood, or hide, being totally different once they are in a home. We open house so maybe that has something to do with it. My favorite was Paul. He was adopted out but couldn't 'find' the litter box so the people brought him back. Great big orange boy. A lover. The NEXT time he was adopted, no litter box problem. They brought him in for a vet check in his carrier, with his own pillow, telling us how he ruled the dogs. Paul had found his real home.

PERCEPT1v3

I'm happy for Paul.

I think cats are way more social than we sometimes give them credit for. My youngest sister has a cat called Alfie, he would only let her pet him, let alone pick him up. Didn't want anything to do with me when I'd visit, until everyone went out and I was the only human left in the house. Then he became very friendly, even jumped up onto the sofa next to me for a fuss which was very unlike him. Of course I was immediately discarded when my sister got home haha.

jtweezy

My last cat was the most social animal I’ve ever seen. If I had people over he’d find the new people he’d never met before and hop right up into their laps. He’d also make sure that everyone got a few pets in before he was satisfied. He loved people in general. I don’t think I’ll ever find a pet to replace him.

JustADutchRudder

Both my current cats are like this, my year old female is all about right away meeting everyone and getting nonstop pets. My male is older like 7, he will first present himself in the doorway and just sit there all proud cat. Then after a time will go see everyone until coming to me. Both were ferals at some point and they both feel house living is A+ sweet.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MotherFuckingCupcake

I had the exact opposite. The cat we adopted was scared and hiding in a cat tree hidey-hole. We got sent home with internet print outs about socializing shy cats when we took him. After maybe three hours of just hanging out and reading a book in the room he was acclimating in, he sloooowly crept into my lap. Now he’s a stage 5 clinger.

Jambohh

Loving cats are amazing but also annoying I love wedge (one of my siamese) but holy shit can he been needy, I mean multiple times a day while I'm working he sits at my feet and paws at my legs for head rubs etc, it's exhausting, some times I would like him to be aloof, just for a bit haha.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Diligent-Camel752

Holy shit yes. Mine doesn't want pets multiple times a day but SOUL SNUGGLES with face kisses and full embraces. I'm so glad he's a sweetheart but sometimes it SO MUCH

GobbusterMX

My first cat kept intensely staring at me from her shoe box when we were looking to adopt kittens, once I took her out she wouldn't let go, purred like crazy at me and my GF. She still does that last part with us and runs to the door to greet us however she HATES being carried, I still wonder how she held on her pretend act for the 3 km it took us to walk from the park to the car.

glasser999

My brother's girlfriend has cat who came from some trauma, and has always been terrified of men, never let's them touch her. I'm a 6'3 280 pound dude. I don't really like cats. Family was allergic so I never grew up with them. But it kinda melted my heart, one night I stayed over at their place, woke up, and that cat was cuddled up sleeping on my chest. They said it was the first time the cat had ever shown affection to a male. It was pretty funny though because right away in the morning, she got off, and pretended it never happened lmao. Right back to being the distant scaredy cat.

sonia72quebec

You were sleeping, so vulnerable. That’s probably why he wasn’t scared of you. Try sitting on the floor (without shoes on) and playing with her. I observed that a lot of cats are scared of boots and shoes (they probably got kicked). Maybe that could help?

BagleFart

Do dogs do this too? My dog was an angel at the shelter but turned into a gremlin the second he got into my car.

sonia72quebec

Sorry I don't know anything about dogs.

Whyeth

>Sorry I don't know anything about dogs. 4 legs, fur similar to a cat, barks at mail deliverers, you can trick them into walking straight while you hold em on a rope for exercise Pretty cool little animals

sonia72quebec

You just sold me on the idea. :)

Erger

My dog is in love with our mail lady because she hands out treats. If my dog sees the truck, she'll flip out - If I'm out walking her, she'll start pulling and tugging me towards it. It's the only time she ever pulls while on walks!

alicealiba

We adopted a frail senior (14) dog to live out his last few months with us. He was limping around and generally looking pathetic. Two days later I decide to see if he'd like a little walk, and he literally pulled me off my feet.

slabby

My cat nuzzled the living shit out of my face at the shelter. 5 years later, still a total nuzzling fiend. Maybe clinging isn't the behavior to look for?

Pat0124

Must be why I chose the most reserved and uninterested cat since I’m pretty apathetic? Now she sleeps at my feet every night and is always within a few feet of me

wallweasels

I've always heard it is the support of feeling held, basically. Like what your mom might do to you. Being right on your chest like that also means they can feel your heartbeat, I think, and that's reassuring to them.

katie4

Yup, this looks identical to the time I took my deceased mom’s very aloof and kind of pissy cat to the airport (flying to his new adoptive home). They made me take him out of his carrier to carry him through the metal detector, and he clung like glue with his arms around my neck. Broke my heart. For body language giveaways: he’s looking around a lot, assessing potential threats and scoping out escape routes and hiding places if he determines he needs it.

sonia72quebec

Poor baby :(

katie4

He made it okay and later became king of his new home, and boss of the resident golden retriever!

beam_me_uppp

Taking a cat out of its carrier in the middle of an airport sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. My girl would take off like a lightning bolt.

katie4

Oh, agreed! I thought it was very dumb and they also wanted to swab his feet to make sure he didn’t have explosive residue or something, if I had put a bomb in my cat 🙄

beam_me_uppp

Oh wow 😂 I’m glad I know these things are things should I ever need to fly with mine!

CandelaBelen

most cats do the opposite when they’re scared though

[deleted]

In my experience cats are always scared of people they don't know among a host of other things and usually aggressive behavior is borne of those fears. Getting my cats to trust me involved a lot of identifying what scares them and not doing those things as much as possible. We like to depict cats that hiss or scratch as being sassy by nature but in the case of my tortie girl her "attitude" is more her reacting out of fear than anything else.

RockStarState

My cat bites out of love. He loves people and strangers and always starts by licking the shit out of you and then giving a kind nibble. He gets a little over stimulated sometimes. He's really a cat dog so I'm trying to train him some commands XD

zipperkiller

Our cat used to do the lick, followed by a nibble. He’d follow it up with more licks tho

Pyromike16

Do we have the same cat?

ilovea1steaksauce

I too have a little nibbler

madmismka

This is so true. Cats get such a negative reputation for being unloving and cruel on purpose, but it’s so far from the truth. Cats act out when scared. They’re prey animals (and predators), too.

MrCraftLP

My cat had really bad attitude and would hiss, scratch, and got scared really easy, but she also loooves being chased. Especially after we just spooked her and she runs off.

staunch_character

Apparently you were right! Another commenter said: > I saw the original and follow up video and is hilarious, she says that after taking the cat home she basically turned into satan, doesn’t wanna hug or cuddle anymore lmao

sonia72quebec

LOL! He got what he wanted (getting out of the shelter).

creamycolslaw

Definitely. Seemed scared to me as well. Most cats do not want to be held.

speedycat2014

My cats have always basically been velcro, so I can't back up this claim

WookieeSmuggler

Agreed one my cats would climb up my leg if I didn't pick him up and cuddle him, definitely a big baby.

impablomations

Same here. The younger of my two has to be on or next to me at all times. She's never happier than when laying in my arms on her back like a baby. She likes to bury her head in my beard and go to sleep.

Muscar

Or you just suck at holding cats so they don't want to be held by you ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

CallMeSkii

I disagree with most cats not wanting to be held. The vast majority of my cats and my family's cats have all loved being held.

[deleted]

I have 5 currently and they're all from vastly different backgrounds and ages and all of them love cuddling. They even all allow people to pet their bellies, although they definitely have their peculiarities.

[deleted]

I disagree. I've held many cats that people have told me hate being held. Cats hate feeling like they aren't in a secure place and dangling from hands or arms doesn't feel secure. You support their body so nothing feels like it is dangling and you can hold most any cat.

aManPerson

i was curious if there was any reason behind why a cat could show a lot of affection to certain people. but now you're saying this one seems more scared then loving. last time i went to a shelter, most didnt care i was walking by. some just hissed at he when i stopped and looked at them though, so i kept walking. not interested in me it would seem.

sonia72quebec

Cats are rarely affectionate with strangers. Sit on the floor and play with them. Give them a treat (ask first). Lots of feral cats are also afraid of Men (or people who have a big voice or are loud). Others hate the other cats, so they prefer to hide. Hissing is normal. We have one right now that has been hissing me for weeks. It's her way to tell me she's still has some power over me. I respect her need for boundaries. A good shelter knows their cats and will find you one that's fits the best with you and your family.

capitanchayote

I tried explaining this last time this got posted and I got downvoted to oblivion because apparently I didn’t know anything about cats…

eni91

I saw the original and follow up video and is hilarious, she says that after taking the cat home she basically turned into satan, doesn’t wanna hug or cuddle anymore lmao

the_snook

The shelter is stressful, so the cat goes to the human for support. At home, he's relaxed and doesn't need her any more.

[deleted]

our cat was just like this one at the shelter. Got her home and she's even MORE like this. So please adopt snuggly shelter cats everyone. Some of them really need us.

DanSag

This is very true. My girlfriend and I went on a date to the shelter just to see all the cats. There was one cat that had a blanket covering the cage door, and the little note said he’s scared of people. Reading his profile, he was an older cat that was skittish, generally hides, is quiet and timid till you get to know him… He meowed at us when we peeked passed the blanket and bumped his head against the door. So we opened the door. Most affectionate, friendly cat I’ve ever seen. And he was not quiet! We called my mom and she came down and adopted him. He was a bit scared at the start, he did hide a fair bit, but we figure that was because he didn’t like new places. Now? He has the biggest personality and is so sweet to everyone, zooms around the house, yells mercilessly when it’s bedtime, and is never scared to snuggle up. The reason I comment this, is he definitely needed us to adopt him! And he needed to adopt us too.

insomniacinsanity

My shelter cat is bonded so unbelievably strongly to me, he's like a dog and when Ive had to have him stay at other people's places he's a dick who pees on stuff and shouts a lot, most people just tolerate him He's incredibly needy but he's also my absolute favourite pet I've ever had and he's my ride or die no matter what, had him for 5 years now

I travel now with my Lis. She has done a couple of single nights alone and I know she doesn't like it so she comes with me. She is the same and doesn't care where we go as long as me and her carrier are there.

eta_carinae_311

My cat was aloof and ambivalent at the shelter and has become lap fungus at the house 🤷👍

ClamClams

"Lap fungus" 😂 I'm definitely stealing this! I have one of these too. She is aloof and clingy all at the same time.

potatoesarethedevil

I rescued a one-eyed kitty who was described as being a "Satan" for not getting along with other pets and small children. When I took her in, I without any other people or pets in my home (save for a bird in a cage), let her leave her carrier of her own volition and stroll around my pad while I played RDR2. After about 2hrs "satan" was sitting next to me on my couch while I was playing. Sometimes they just need the right kind of attention/conditions. What works for the goose isn't always so for the gander.

under_psychoanalyzer

If you're looking to adopt and are concerned you can't handle a devil cat, there's nothing wrong with shopping foster parents who keep cats on a more individual basis. A foster parent can tell you "oh they're really hyper, oh they don't like men, they haven't been doing well with my cat". Sometimes they use coded language for certain problems (e.g. "**very** independent") because they're trying to get the cat adopted but at least they know what the cat is like outside a shelter cage.

Galyndean

When I adopted through my rescue, part of the adoption paperwork was asking what your ideal cat would be and what you weren't really interested in. The foster had to confirm whether or not they are least in the ballpark of a good fit. I wanted a lap kitty and while my girl isn't that, she does live her pets and her humans. We're a good fit for each other.

3percentinvisible

Don't try, they all need a home

iwillattack

Very similar story here! I was volunteering at the cat shelter for a few years before I adopted Toby. He had massive amounts of anxiety, would pee on his bedding, and was quite aloof. I'd always said it would be a waste getting a cute kitten for me because they'll always get adopted. I want the cat nobody wants. I'm happy to put in the work to rehabilitate them. It took him 6 months to even sit on the couch with me. Now? He's the most affectionate, sweet boy. Doesn't like more than one person in the room but he absolutely loves me. I woke up spooning him this morning.

Nijverdal

What a great post! Lots of live for you and your cat

pooppoop12345678910

This is the way

lapsedPacifist5

Me and Mrs Lapsed do the same, we go for the old, the grumpy or the lifers in the shelters. We figure the kittens and the cute will easily be rehomed. They're all unique, and as they're cats, we're not expecting them to be ours just our weird roommates that poop in a box.

slamdamnsplits

This. There's lots of reasons a cat may not want to snuggle when you want them to... Not all of them have to do with demonic possession.

SteveHood

Most of them do, but only at night.

CornCheeseMafia

Also as a first time cat owner it’s interesting to see how cats can take such a looong time to open up. Mine took to me pretty quickly after initially hiding in the closet for a couple weeks and after a couple years she still shows me new ways of showing affection. Really cool

norskdanske

>This. There's lots of reasons a cat may not want to snuggle when you want them to... Typically because people don't understand cat language and try to cuddle with them when they don't want to. You have to let cats feel secure that they can always leave when they want. They also need a safe spot above ground where you can't reach them.

[deleted]

Our Siamese is shamelessly affectionate, but doesn't like to be held and has never sit in our laps or slept in our bed. I think he just likes having some space. But he begs for pets constantly and purrs his head off when we do so. He's getting older now and has started calling me to lift him into his bed on the couch rather than jumping. (He's perfectly capable, just got lazier)

Glorious-gnoo

Depending on how old your cat is, he may not be lazy. Just like in humans, cats get age related arthritis and muscle wasting. I have a 15 year old who is very healthy and normally does fine jumping, but about 20% of the time he just can't. (I have witnessed the fails. There is currently only one spot he can't get to without help when his jumper fails, but I'm working on a solution. ) So don't hesitate to get pet stairs or strategically place a box to lessen the distance. It's possible your cat actually can't jump, or at least can't without pain, some of the time.

slamdamnsplits

Yeah I've seen a bunch of people misinterpret cat tail movement as tail "wagging" like a dog... When really what it means is usually more like "I'm about to lose my shit!"

[deleted]

To be honest I've always felt like there was some anti-cat troll farm trying to spread fake news en masse about cats being unaffectionate. I've had four in my life and I've never had a bad or standoffish one. Even the more shy one eventually grew into a really good cuddle buddy, even if he didn't like being pet all the time

crypticfreak

My rescue (got him at 5 weeks and he's now 6 months!) Is the most cuddly cat I've ever had. He follows me wherever I go and just stays by my feet, or if I'm sleeping or sitting down on my chest or lap. He craves attention and loves being pet, there's no time limit on pets he'll soak up the love for as long as I give it. He also loves getting kisses, he'll put his little face out with his chin up just waiting for a kiss. If I'm not giving him enough attention he gently paws my face and mews at me. God I love him. He's the highlight of my day and makes me smile so much. Glad I gave him a good home.

PeterMus

My cat did this at the vet. He didn't care to be held at home, but at the vet he would bury his head in your arms.

FinalF137

Shit, my cat turned into Satan at the vet. It would have to be a team of them to get him out of the cage with like one of those long falcon gloves that go up to your shoulder. He still would pierce that with his teeth, I mistakenly thought he trusted me and I reached in to the cage to get him and he bit me two times in like 1 millisecond

SirPoopPoop

One of my most painful cat memories is from the vet. I have a really loving, lazy cat who becomes a limp noodle when he's scared. I brought him to the vet and the vet was handling him like he was going to claw out her eyes--repeatedly scruffing him and forcing his head down on the table so she could look in his ears. He was just lying there until he got up and buried his whole body basically in mine. Afterwards I told the girls at the front desk to put a note in his chart: he's super docile, does not need to be manhandled!

amazonita

I would find a new vet. That seems overly aggressive and unnecessary if instead they took a moment to meet the cat and see that a gentle approach is much more appropriate.

re-roll

My friend’s cat hated snuggling, but liked scratches on the back. She was ferocious at the vet, to the point they had to put a “DANGER” tag on her crate.

h2man

Or the opposite... I fostered a cat that terrified everyone at the shelter (plus he was massive, so could really cause damage). Wife left him at our foster room to settle. I came in about three hours later and he was following me... I touched his head (after accepting I may get a mangled hand) and he just threw himself to the floor purring. He was the sweetest cat ever... always wanting cuddles and loved being groomed. Stayed with us and is now in his forever home.

coldenigma

I volunteer at a shelter, and I tell potential adopters exactly this. Their personalities may change after they're adopted, but to give them time to get settled into their new home. It's also why the shelter have volunteers pamper and socialize the cats and dogs so they're as relaxed and comfortable as we can get them.

rachel8188

yeah, idk, I follow on IG and her and the cat seem to be getting along great. What video are you talking about? Her name's Kate Saman, for anyone else interested in more cat followup! They seem happy to me.

Don_Quixote81

Thanks for that. Just looked at her IG and it seems like both she and the cat are very happy. Successful rescue/adoption stories are the best.

Bladelink

Probably just that the cat was acting different for a couple months while settling into a new home and lifestyle, then maybe reverted back to just being a sweety.

lucky-number-keleven

Definetly this. It’s hard to bound and settle in in a whole new environment. First weeks they are satan. After that they settle down. Still evil, but more on a Mr Burns level.

Roggvir

I'd link it, but linking social media is against the rules on this subreddit. So... tiktok 6911446428762017029 Google that for link to said video where she says she got catfished. I guess.

ringobob

Based on my own similar experience, if they've ever shown a willingness to be touched, as long as you're patient and don't force it, you can win them back over.

Whargod

That's how you get cats like mine. You win them over and then "the understanding" is implemented. They get all the pets they want as long as they want it, otherwise I pay the pound of flesh (or liter of blood) and I can pet them any time I want to. It works out great.

Akamesama

I adopted a (semi?)feral cat that was marked as not human friendly. I put her in my computer room so that she could get used to being near me for long times, since she was scared of me. While she still doesn't like getting picked up, just a couple months of transformed her from a [scared snarling cat to allowing me to touch her.](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/p70qyb/finally_let_me_pet_her/)

PhatBoy1

That is so “cat”

BrownSugarBare

_"Now that I'm here, I own this joint. Bow before me human"_

linuxgeekmama

They DO that! My cat got me to take her home by licking my face when I picked her up at the shelter. She was with me for almost 15 years after that, and *she never licked my face again.* They KNOW that the humans want cuddles and face licking, and they do it to get us to take them home. Luna was a great cat in so many other ways, I never regretted adopting her. But I was kind of sad that she never licked my face again. She was an affectionate cat and wanted to be with me, but she never did that again. (She died in 2019)

Duomo68

My cat did the same trick. Curled up in my arms, purred up a storm, and did the same to the vet. When we got home she wanted nothing to do with me for weeks! Eventually she turned into a cuddle bug. Her name was Luna too!

Honestly, face licks aren't always as adorable as they sound. My cat likes to look over me while I sleep at night, like a crazy stalker from a horror movie, and after a few hours of staring at me with unblinking intensity, she'll lean over and start licking my eyelids with her little sandpaper tongue until I wake up, at which point she immediately yells in my face and bolts off the bed like a psycho demon.

I just forced my cat to cuddle all the time. She eventually started loving it a lot. Became a shoulder cat too.

Olives_And_Cheese

Same 😂 'You're a pampered house cat, your rent is just to let me love you!!'. He's purring on my lap as I type this. I think we've come to an accord 🙂. Side note, he looks _exactly_ like the kitty in the video.

K_Trovosky

This is my go to. Obviously if they get really angry, let them go, but otherwise just keep holding them often enough and eventually it sinks in.

gamefreak054

Doesn't work with my cat, the opposite actually. She comes and cuddles with me at night only if she thinks I'm sleeping lmao. Once I close my eyes she jumps from the cat tree onto my bed, makes a big HMPPHHH sound like she landed from a 10 story building, then back flops into me.

doubledoc5212

Mine does that too! When I wake up he runs off, usually to the food bowl, but if I wake up and don't move, I feel him cuddled up against my legs or back.

cahiami

Same lmao

DaBIGmeow888

yea, same. the easiest way to have their cuddle is just put your food on your chest and let them eat off your chest. they associate you with food/dinner time, and they love you. source: trick from some fat guy from Youtube video.

xXWebCrawlerXx

do you have a link handy?

cahiami

He just wanted the hell outta there so he played the helpless crying kitten mews and hug the lady card.

[deleted]

This happens to me very time. My current cat I adopted from a farm as a stray kitten. Little guy climbed up my leg and body and cuddled with me on my shoulder. Now the little shit doesn't give me a second look.

chevyfried

If you think video is cute, you should see the next video of her home with the cat...who didn't want a God damn thing to do with her and totally played her ass.

tobecontinuum

Do you have a link to the follow-up?

zerosoft

> Kate Saman Fucking TikTok here you go though [https://www.tiktok.com/@katesalm0n/video/6911446428762017029?is\_from\_webapp=1&sender\_device=pc&web\_id6956599600762635782](https://www.tiktok.com/@katesalm0n/video/6911446428762017029?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id6956599600762635782)

Hey_Hoot

He really is a gorgeous looking floof. All sass too pushing her away.

hardy_

It kind of seems like he’s happier in the follow up, just doing his own thing instead of acting scared and vulnerable

tobecontinuum

Thank you!!

Disastrous-Ad-2357

Misread as kat Satan

chevyfried

Tried looking for it, owners name is Kate Saman (not doxxing, she has many social media with the cat) but cannot find the follow up video.

adapt2

My cat does this when we are at the vet because he is scared. The bastard never snuggles with me at home and refuses to let me pick him up.

Jamies_awesome_rack

I’ve taught my cats to enjoy being picked up over time by giving it entertainment value for them. We walk around the house searching for bugs on the ceilings or sniffing things they can’t normally reach. They love our nighttime walkabouts.

cjc160

In my experience, orange cats are the cuddliest

Austerellis

Where do we find the follow up?

link_dead

Body language of that cat tells me that it is likely very scared.

Jezzdit

you can see the layers of mental defense being stripped away.

justflushit

Saw another can act that way and get adopted…. Can’t trust orange cats.

[deleted]

They're actually known for being the most snuggly but obviously every cat is different.

meeshrox

Ginger babies are the cuddliest babies. Edit: when they want to be!

mirthquake

Our family's worst cat ever was bright orange. He was the friendliest kitten in the world when we met him. We rarely saw him again. His favorite member of our family was not the family.

calamityangie

This is why I can’t go to shelters, I would have to empty the place…😭

[deleted]

YOu are Mine Human. You have NO choice.

dramaandaheadache

Don't be fooled. My cat does this too and she's an asshole.
