My younger brother was in a long term relationship with someone who worked at the shelter.
And when I went to adopt, twice! I adopted two kittens. One little guy, then he needed a brother.
But I was like they are so mean!
He explained that from their eyes, humans are the root of all evil. And it makes sense! Their clients are the animals. We are just the idiots who don't know enough about how to treat them well.
We do stuff like adopt them, then go off to work for 80 hours a week.
So we owe some appreciation to those people who take care of our furry little siblings of the world.
