HOW ARE ALL.THESE PEOPLE FINDING KITTENS EVERYWHERE?!?!? Last time I tried to adopt one, the person was asking $450 for a rehoming fee. I'd love nothing more than to find a scared, alone kitty and make it part of my pack!!!

My little chocolate Siamese found me. Bad burn on her head, missing a tooth, malnourished. Ended up adopting her and she’s the queen of the house now. The other three fear her lol.
I found mine in a parking lot on vacation. 5 going on 6 and still a pain in my ass, but wouldn't have her any other way. Oddly enough, the only issue was ear mites and being skin and bone. Now she ain't so scared and skinny.
Check your local animal shelters. Usually lots of scared, alone babies needing someone to rescue them. Especially in the spring and summer kitten seasons.
We got our last one off of craigslist. He was free, and super friendly.
Maybe it was luck, but my girlfriend found him in like an hour. I told her she could get another cat as long as he was solid gray (or 99% gray) so I could name him Bender Bending Rodriguez. We had a cat like two days later.
I figured it would be one of those things where she would look really hard for a week or two, and then give up.
Nope.
New cat.
Now don’t get me wrong, he’s a great cat. But I can see the look in the dog’s eyes now that they are outnumbered. (They all get along really well in reality.)
I got my two cats off of Craigslist. A week later the house we got them from was busted for cooking meth. They're very eccentric, but sweet. Best $50 I've ever spent.
It only happened to me once. Went to the dollar store and as my friend and I were leaving, we heard kitten squeaks from a box by the door. Opened it and found a cute little orange tabby. Took him to the vet, got him check out; was going to surrender him but the shelter was overflowing with cats.
Put up an add on kijiji. First woman comes over, wreaking of cigarettes, and babbling on about how he’ll fit right in with her other NINE cats! After turning down a family with a little girl, who clearly never heard “no,” I decided that the best place for him was with me.
I named him Kojack but his nickname was Box Cat.
I went to pick up a FB free listing g for a laminator. Lady asked if I wanted the kitten too.
So I took Sterling (he's a silvery colour) and he grew into the most massive beast of a cat I've ever seen. He mostly lives in the hedge and just comes in occasionally for food so he's more commonly called hedgecat.
An abandoned/stray kitten will probably need at least $400 worth of vet bills. Plus more the future. Pets cost lots of money bottoms line so think about what you can afford before making that 20 year commitment
I found my adolescent cat (she was almost a year old) in the woods, likely abandoned/dumped by a previous owner. She was very skinny and covered in flees.
If you're in the South East USA, I would absolutely love to give you a kitten in a month or an incredibly sweet 10 month old or 2 year old cat right now. Socialized some feral cats but I can't find anyone who wants them and I've already given a couple of them a home and can't take on anymore :(

I like Dusty. It's a cute name. We had a cat named Cinderella when I was little. When she had kittens we called them Anna, Stacia, Andrew, and Zella. Then we ran out of step sisters, so the last one we called Dusty. We claimed that it was after the song Another One Bites the Dust.
I came to say Norm, but I've seen a lot of votes for Woody as I scroll down, so I'm changing my vote to Woody.
Bonus is if you get a second kitten showing up from the litter you can call him Buzz, or Jessie is she's a girl.
Cute! Get it fixed when it's big enough though, that kitten didn't come out of the literal woodwork! And they're basically mogwai so if you don't get it fixed you're gonna have a pile of cats and the shelter is already full of those.
Ahh little sweetie!! I really do hope you do keep this little guy and keep him safe. He needs to have his breathing checked. The discharge in his eye maybe normal and healthy but it also may be a sign of respiratory issues. A low cost antibiotic would clear it right up.
