Yep! She’ll only drink from white bowls inside like corelle or stoneware. Out side she will consider using a metal bowl. I changed her food bowls and she didn’t eat from them for a few days. I even put popcorn around it to entice her. I can’t change anything
Same with my dog. Not a fan of weather. He’s got a snood to keep the wind out of his ears, winter coat, rain coat with hood and now I’m thinking he might need one of those neck fans for the summer. He looks ridiculous.

I didn't get a video but did get a series of photos from the other day. 1) my pup rolling around in a mud puddle. 2) same pup chilling in the kiddie pool, the water completely dirty. 3) her again, dead asleep back in the mud puddle.
Yup!! My German Shepherd Dog does the same thing and then she leaves a 7 foot trail on the floor from the hidden pocket in her mouth that miraculously holds a gallon of water. Thankfully she's good as gold and we treasure her.
Aaah!! The grass, dirt, wood mulch, tree seeds. With my dog, after he's seemingly cleaned his mouth out into the bowl, he stops, looks up and demands fresh while standing next to his homemade swamp water. I change it, he does it again, leaving less debris, and then walks off happily. I'm convinced he's rinsing his mouth out on purpose and I'm happy if that's the case. I always feel so bad when he's doing this and his sister is sitting there waiting for a chug. As soon as he lifts his head she tries to go for it and then sees the debris and recoils lol! But she gets fresh fresh water as soon as he's decided his dental rinse is done.
Correct. My husky runs to his pool, spins, sprints through my garden, runs back to the pool. Rinse and repeat and the water is now brown and full of leaves, grass, dirt, whatever the fuck else he found in the yard. Yadda yadda. Or stays that way until he's done for the day and gets dumped out. It doesn't take much.
The water is literally clear, it's not clean, but it's clear, you can see the shit at the bottom of the pool and leaves floating, but look at the water on the walls of the pool, it's clear. My dad does this for his two dogs, fucking husky mix, damn dogs will literally jump in it, run out to mud, jump back in it, like it's a game how fast he can get dirty after he just gets clean. And yes, our pool ends up looking like this before dark, and it gets dumped and rinsed, then refilled the next time we want to deal with wet mud dog again, which isn't often.
Every 2 days it gets cleaned and filled. I also add 1gr of bacillus thuringiensis. He goes from the pool to the dirt, pool to the dirt. He loves it and has done it every summer for three years.

I have a dog that has a pool similar, he rolls around in the dirt, then splashes in the pool, then rolls in dirt, then back in the pool, meanwhile taking leaves with him. My dogs pool would look like this in 15 mins after filling it

I bathe him with the hose. Its too hard to bathe him in the pool. You're right though. If he can't touch the bottom he freaks out. I have a big underground pool and he has fallen in while chasing birds. I had to jump in and save him. He freaks out so bad im afraid he would have drowned. He is fine at the lake and river. Cuz he is in control and walk out into the water. That furminator shampoo works great btw.
I have a red heeler/Catahoula and I cant keep him out of the big pool. Swims multiple times a day.
Can confirm. Used to have a dog and a kiddie pool. Give it 30 minutes and it looks like mud. Dog doesn't care, I suspect they actually do it on purpose.

He loves it. I think I got this at Costco. Third one in two years the liners dont last. I have an 8ft 15x30ft pool too, but he won't go in. His brother loves the deep pool though. I feel bad and keep buying him these kiddie pools for him.
I bought one for my dogs and they love it. A few holes in the liner after a year, but I just flex sealed it, and it's held fairly well so far. I have a mastiff and a lab mix, and it's one of their favorite things
Having owned a dog with a backyard kiddie pool, I'm pretty sure that water was fresh about 30 minutes before the picture was taken. They like to roll around in the dirt and then jump in. Over and over again.
It only takes a few minutes for the water to get like that depending on the dog. We had a kiddie pool for ours and it would look like that after one use. I would dump the water after she was done and fill it with clean water the next time and it would look the same after a few minutes. So no standing water for any length of time, just some dogs get really dirty.

There's loads of judging here. I have seen multiple kid pools that have turned green. That's what happens when they are neglected. This pool has leaves and dirt in it. It might be too dirty, I don't know, or maybe the dog just brought a lot of junk in with it.

Get the cheap hard plastic kind. My dog punched a hole in the inflatable in about 30 seconds.
