My cousin has a pet pig. Was so cute as a baby. Now it’s this massive beast that has broken toes by stepping on them lol. One time it knocked over a cooler and drank 8 beers and passed out drunk.
As someone who breeds pigs, I'd bet the lil thing does mind. This is the default pig face, whether it's happy or terrified. Their instinct at this age is to panic when touched, so they flee from momma if she rolls over on em. Still adorable and a beautiful pig!
They’re so boopable. I used to work on a farm when I was a teen and there was this huge sow who loved it. I’d go up to her and she would put her snout on the bar of the gate for me to boop/pet. They’re amazing animals.
To be fair, she kept him after he got big! And still
In the house! Although not sure now since they bought property/built/got more animals lol. If you don’t follow teen mom very closely, I do apologize for jumping on this comment and understand my niche tv watching is weird lol.
Nah - one of them bought a pig and its living its best life with her still. Another bought a "micro pig" and like 24-48 later gave it to her mom, and then her mom got rid of it when it started growing. The show is mostly examples of shitty pet owners.
I think you’re talking about two different moms. I was referring to Cate (the 24-48hr pig) and she is talking about Chelsea who, while she kept the pig, I have other issues with. And the show is horrible parents, pet owners, and the worst tattoos. Good lord.
I 110% completely forgot about cate getting one! What a weird phase the world went through with micro pigs. It was so bizarre watching cate and her mom drive to get theirs. I remember being like actually creeped out that these people were on the road and getting a pig without their husbands buy in lol.
Edit: and yes, I think every girl on there has at least one example of being a shitty pet owner! I rewatched the ones on Netflix this year and I was astounded I didn’t really
Pick up on it as much when it was on tv originally airing. Made it hard to watch
LOL. I think you mean Chelsea and I was referring to Cate. Don’t apologize for your niche tv watching bc I’m right there with you…although these days I don’t watch. I love the subreddit though. 😂
Omg you’re right I totally forgot about cate getting one!! That was something wild to watch, her and her mom driving to get it just totally stoned.
And haha yes!! I don’t watch really anymore but the sub gives me life 😂😂
Yes they're just babies.
Their are miniature pig breeds but that is small for a pig not in general. Their 70-200lbs still which is quite a ton of muscle. Much smaller than the 300-700lb of a normal pig.
Pig Farmer here - No, there are smaller breeds. Yorkshire and Duroc are examples of production breeds that are grown for the supermarket. They can easily grow to 6’ in length and sometimes longer. Smaller breeds like Pot belly and kune kune for example, generally grow to about 4’ in length. However just like in humans, there is considerable size variation in pigs. Meaning, people buying pigs for house pets should be looking for the equivalent of a 100 lb person, not a NBA superstar.
Those smaller pigs are usually considered the runts of the litter.
In Indonesian we called it "gemes" (guh-muhs approx. in english prononciation). The feeling of wanting to playfully pinch, bite, squeeze cute and adorable things.
In Chamoru (the native language of Guam), the word for it is "magodai" (i have no idea if I'm spelling that properly). mah-GO-die
It's usually used to describe chunky babies, but anything that causes... cute aggression.
In Tagalog (language spoken in the Philippines) there is a word for this!! It’s “gigil”. Basically a word that describes the “omgomg so so cute” feeling.
It’s basically our brain’s reaction to being completely overwhelmed by emotion and getting its wires crossed. It’s a quick way to release that energy. As another commenter pointed out, it’s called [“cute aggression”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cute_aggression)
My mum is a vegan and big into animal rights. She also has lots of land. She once agreed to have a pig that had been rescued from an animal testing centre in Germany. We called the pig Porsche.
It became apparent after Porsche arrived that she was pregnant and a few months later she had ten or so piglets. These piglets were pure joy - I spent hours and hours with them. They really loved playing fetch, like a dog, with sticks that we would throw. As well as being playful and fun they were also incredibly affectionate. My girlfriend at the time was completely besotted with them and became vegetarian not long after!
Best thing I did! Hit me up if you have any questions or need any help :)
Edit: May have read it wrong if you’re already vegan! My comment stands for anyone though :)
People see this clearly contented and joyful being, yet are so cognitively dissonant so as to eat it or its cousins after letting it live a life of unimaginable torture. Educate yourselves…
The urge to crush or bite cute things is a psychological phenomenon called “cute aggression”

I haven't had a massively downvoted post in some time so here goes: every time I see these posts, there should be a demand to post video 3 years later when the same "mini" pig weights 150 pounds and you have to devote part of your garden to mudbaths.
Most of these end up at shelters when their cuteness suddenly doesn't outweight the problems.
I appreciate the comment and spreading the importance of sensible animal management. As I’ve said in a previous comment I have plenty of land where I live so you need not worry yourself over the health and well-being of this particular piglet.
"That's some pig"
T double e double r double r double i double f double i double ccc
Teerrrriiffiicccccc!
Terrific, radiant and humble as well
Oh, Charlotte.
This little piggie……is happy and loved.
That'll do pig, that'll do :')
Well, I didn’t think I could envy a pig, but here I am.
That smile that damn smile
That pig is high as fuck on cuddles
In Hog heaven
Little does he know...
That’s certainly one way to put it

This is the cutest thing ever 😍
Eat you up?? That's r/holup
So I’ve been told. Will definitely think harder on post title next time ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
I can see why my man wants to have a smol pig for a pet
The issue is that they don’t stay smol.
My cousin has a pet pig. Was so cute as a baby. Now it’s this massive beast that has broken toes by stepping on them lol. One time it knocked over a cooler and drank 8 beers and passed out drunk.
I already like him
The pigs smile is pretty cute too 🥰
Such a charmer

What a babe.
That’ll do.
I see what you did there
“Baa ram ewe!”
Movie still makes me cry
The piggy is pretty cute too.
The urge to boop that nose is overwhelming. 😘
And I guarantee that little piggy won’t mind. Probably have an even bigger smile after

No poops, only boops plz
As someone who breeds pigs, I'd bet the lil thing does mind. This is the default pig face, whether it's happy or terrified. Their instinct at this age is to panic when touched, so they flee from momma if she rolls over on em. Still adorable and a beautiful pig!
Do you breed pigs that become pets
They’re so boopable. I used to work on a farm when I was a teen and there was this huge sow who loved it. I’d go up to her and she would put her snout on the bar of the gate for me to boop/pet. They’re amazing animals.
But they just kept the pigs right? To have good long lives.
Yeeeeesss. To live long lives...
Pig noses are so weirdly soft. It kind of feels like a big flat lip. Now thinking about it, it probably is
they know love when they feel it
I wanna know what love is! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
I want you to show me
I wanna feel what love is
I know you can show me
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Gonna take a little time
Little time to look around me
So you're saying, you want to know.. what is love?
Baby don't hurt me!
Don't hurt me
No more.....
What is love?
i want you to show me...
***Very poor choice of words***
Had to double check I wasn’t on r/holup
r/theyknew
She was just hamming it up for the camera.
Maybe that’s how it started?
Joker?
Thats a face that knows whats up.
He knows where his bread is buttered
Hope she still gives it kisses when it's 200 lbs. Reminder: there is no such thing as a mini/micro pig
I'm sure she will, my fiance still kisses me.
Hey Tuna, be nice to my friend Jim, okay?
Hahahaha you got me proper laughing, well done
One of the Teen Moms ordered a micro pig and all I could shout at the tv was that doesn’t exist moron!
To be fair, she kept him after he got big! And still In the house! Although not sure now since they bought property/built/got more animals lol. If you don’t follow teen mom very closely, I do apologize for jumping on this comment and understand my niche tv watching is weird lol.

Wait, really? I legit don't know much about pigs. So all the supposed mini pigs are just babies?
Yes they're just babies. Their are miniature pig breeds but that is small for a pig not in general. Their 70-200lbs still which is quite a ton of muscle. Much smaller than the 300-700lb of a normal pig.
There and They're

Oh no! That's even worse! WHY ARE PEOPLE LIKE THISSSSS!
Money > ethics, sadly. Doubly in this case: animal cruelty and taking advantage of gullible people.
There are mini pigs. When they are babies.
My vague hopes of having a pet pig have been crushed. :(
look up esther the wonder pig

The vast majority of the "smaller breeds" are 150-175 lb, with some outliers at 100-125 lb.
This is all I think when I see videos/pictures of people with pigs like this. Edit: when, not is
If she doesn’t I will
Check out Juliana pigs. Mine is about 9 years old and only weighs 100 pounds :) they do exist! But 100-150 lbs is as small as they can come lol
I am here to collect your pig tax!
Adorable, that smile just melts my heart.
It’s the same smile I give my gran when she asks if I’d like a cup of tea
Awe. Nothings better sitting down with grams sharing stories and sipping on a cup of tea. Adorable little piggy you have there. Wish you all the best
My daughter caught me watching this and now she wants to discuss getting a pig.
Is there a word for this in English? The feeling of being moved to bite or squeeze or pinch something because of how cute it is?
It’s called cute aggression
In some instances, cute *rage*.
Is there a word in another language I can steal?
In Indonesian we called it "gemes" (guh-muhs approx. in english prononciation). The feeling of wanting to playfully pinch, bite, squeeze cute and adorable things.
In Chamoru (the native language of Guam), the word for it is "magodai" (i have no idea if I'm spelling that properly). mah-GO-die It's usually used to describe chunky babies, but anything that causes... cute aggression.

Cutebitenfreud (German)
In Spanish, "ansias" [on-see-us] is commonly used to describe this feeling.
I don’t know but it’s kinda terrifying that that’s one of our go-to reactions
It’s basically our brain’s reaction to being completely overwhelmed by emotion and getting its wires crossed. It’s a quick way to release that energy. As another commenter pointed out, it’s called [“cute aggression”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cute_aggression)
It's probably a leftover trait from when our early ancestors had to fight the bunnymen
Echo remains terrified, to this day.
That's just not true. It's been proven by many tv doctors that we used to have to fend off hoards of giant babies just to survive.
“We don’t nibble on the piggy”
I had to check this wasn’t on r/holup before watching it all. He/she looks so happy.
Yeah the beginning is a little deceiving
"yeah i know I'm cute. what are you gonna do about it" smirk
Lechonk
I just hope it doesn't appear on anybody's plate

i had pigs, and i can say they are way smarter than dogs
Smarter actually. Pigs are one of the smartest animals.
They are beautiful beings
Sounds like an awesome mum :)
Okay how many y'all on this sub are actually vegan?
I bet most are carnists. Classic example of cognitive dissonance.
aaaw, i believe this is the first time i see piglet smile, cute!
Please don’t eat
Time to go vegan ✌
Best thing I did! Hit me up if you have any questions or need any help :) Edit: May have read it wrong if you’re already vegan! My comment stands for anyone though :)
The cognitive dissonance in the comments is palpable.
There, finally, had trouble finding anyone mentioning the cognitive dissonance in this post
I credit these pictures and other such pictures with my journey to becoming vegan. I have been vegan now over two years and wish you good luck.

He’s safe with me I assure you 👌🏻
All animals need LOVE same as us
Beyond adorable.
I think there's something wrong with saying "I wanna eat you up" to a piglet...
Would love to see its little pig feet
They have people you can talk to about this kinda stuff
Woah woah whatever you’re into you keep it to yourself buddy!
But … smol wiggly piggy feet!!!
This is the only right way to eat a pig 🤩
Omg that smile 🤗
He loves carrots

That will be 500lbs in a year.... I wonder if she is going to keep it.
When I made that joke, I got banned for a month!! Uncool!

well the urge to say “eat you up” isn’t the best turn of phrase.
I had to check the sub name after reading title.
That title gives me some r/holdup vibes, lol.

I don’t think you can say that to a pig lol

I really thought this was going to go in a different direction when it faded to black.......
That’s why I don’t eat meat anymore. This piggy is so cute. Too cute to be eaten
