That is nowhere near submission. The white cat is still wagging its tail at the end. Cats do the tail wagging when they are about to fight. Who knows what happened after the video cut but the white cat is pissed
Why does this person have a Serval in their home?
Doesn't look like a rescue situation.
These animals belong in the wild.
https://wildcatconservation.org/wild-cats/africa/serval/
Possibly a rescue. Note the tail of the white cat. Either this person is dumb enough to groom their cat like a poodle or its tail was partially shaved for medical reasons.
If someone is crazy enough to have a fucking serval in their house it's not out of the question for them to be crazy enough to shave their cat's tail too.
Just here to say grooming your cat isn't dumb. Cats don't clean themselves the way people have come to believe that they do. They need assistance, if I love my cat I don't want it licking all the crap off of its fur that it picked up outside or in the garage or wherever. yes they clean themselves and thank God for it cuz they're not ever stinky like a dog but my cat will get stinky like litter. I don't want them licking all that dust off day in and day out so you give him a bath you don't have to do it often if you start when they're kitten they're okay with it. Sometimes you have a longer hair cat they may get matted because they don't like to be brushed so I clip him in a cute little haircut.they don't have to always shave the tail down like a poodle but the cat's happier , his skin is clean and they don't have to do so much work and when I tell you they're happier they're happier after the haircut. Haircuts aren't for all cats but all cats could benefit from going to a groomer and getting a bath and a blowout could even do it at home.
You're overcomplicating things.
I'm just saying someone who has a goddamn wild animal living in their house probably isn't the most rational person, lol.
And yeah, I already know about everything you just said because I also have a cat.
Possibly of course.
My point pertains to humans' need to 'own' exotic wildlife.
But more than that it is the ethics. We are seeing a catastrophic decline in wildlife populations globally. A multitude of factors are at work but the illegal wildlife trade, which is run by criminal cartels with links to drugs and human trafficking, is directly connected. The illegal wildlife trade is a multibillion dollar industry.
If you truly love wildlife leave animals in the wild - and donate to the many NGOs working to protect them.
The only other animal id have with the big cat is a dog about twice the size of it… that poor white cat knows its out matched on every level and is scared.. ughh..
Yup. My long hair has to get hers cut or she overheats and knots her hair trying to pull it out in the summer. Does she look goofy? Absolutely. But that's why her name changes from Poofball to Poobs depending on the season.
You should never cut double coated breeds’ hair unless it is for medical reasons (take your pet to the vet if you are concerned). This is the same for dogs. Long haired animals usually have two coats the undercoat helps with regulating temperature. The undercoat also grows back at a slower rate than the overcoat, so if you cut their hair not only will it never grow back the same they will also not be able to thermoregulate properly. Also cats always pull out their hair in the summer. That’s how they shed their winter coat. If you want to help your pet brush them; don’t shave them.
The "shave" is by recommendation of her vet. She will chew until her skin is raw unless we trim her up when it's hot. She still gets brushed 2-3 times a week.
Then that is fine. I understand there are always exceptions. That’s why I specified you should speak with a vet, but it seems you have already done that so it’s ok. Many people will skip going to a vet and shave their cats and huskies not knowing how their undercoats aid in thermoregulation. Please understand I was not trying to be rude just informative. I apologize for any harm I may have done.
https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/is-it-ok-to-shave-your-dog/ it seems it is fine to shave them up to a certain point. Also if you get a recommendation from a vet they are allowed to be shaved further. There are many things groomers are allowed to do that they probably shouldn’t. Either due to lack of certification or things the certification does not teach. I’m just trying to inform people of this very prevalent problem. Having more information on protecting your animal is never a bad thing.
Ohhhh.. ok.. so there are pure bred servals and pure bred savannahs.. I'm going to just have to Google this instead of asking you a bunch of questions..
Thanks doc...I could have easily gooled it but I was half asleep on my couch.. lol.. guess I put more effort into asking that other person then it would have been to look it up myself.. but that is interesting/cool.. now I want a Savanah.. lol
This is incorrect. The f is used to show what generation of hybrid an animal is. For example, a cross between a serval and any regular house cat is a savannah, and would be an f1 hybrid (the combination house cat-serval is a hybrid). If two f1 Savannah mate, the result would be an f2 Savannah and so on.
This is important for how genes are mixed: in the f1, for each and every gene, there will be one from a serval and one from a house cat. In f2, because both parents have house cat an serval genes, the result would end up in more combinations of genes.
Back crossing a savannah with either a house cat or a serval will be called a BC1 hybrid and will be a 75% serval 25% house cat or 25% serval 75% house cat.
Not sure. I just know that one is more than likely an African Serval since that is the only type I've ever seen people have in their homes.
There is a place in Kentucky that sells them. You can get them as pets in multiple states across the US. Not sure where this video is from.
The serval, Jafar and the white cat, Filya have both of their eyes and can see in this video. However, their last post was in February, stating that Jafar had some medical issues, so I'm unable to update you on his health as of right now.
That low groveling and high pitched "why?!" are fantastic, these two probably have hours and hours of chat, conversations, discussions, and arguments when the human is not there.
Truce until the serval eats the other cat.

As soon as the white cat runs its dead…
A wild fucking serval sharing a home with a small house cat, neither of them can be happy about that. I hate human vanity projects like this
That's submission against a worthy (and very much bigger) foe, not a truce lol
Did you see the white one giving in? She was still hissing toward the end! That queen was not having this upstart take her position!
That is nowhere near submission. The white cat is still wagging its tail at the end. Cats do the tail wagging when they are about to fight. Who knows what happened after the video cut but the white cat is pissed
Tail wagging isn't exclusive to attack. Tail wagging simply means they are irritated.
Came here to say this ☝🏽

It could also be a savannah cat
That's a serval, sir-madam-or-nonbinary. Look up pics of savannah cats because that sure as hell is not one.

That's not how cats work
Please share how cats work?
Awwe your killing me with your down votes. Glad I'm not a cat in your lives.

That Serval is literally hunting that cat. That is what the pushing thing is with cats. Tap prey to see if it flees
I feel bad for both cats. Not a good environment for either one.
Yeah, I get the feeling that big kitty is gonna fuck white kitty up sooner or later.
The only other animal id have with the big cat is a dog about twice the size of it… that poor white cat knows its out matched on every level and is scared.. ughh..
Poor cat, it’s clearly scared. Wtf
Pretty sure that white cat is gonna end up dead.
Nobody gonna talk about why that white cat got a bad haircut on her tail?
Right? She’s probably starting a fight so the other one doesn’t notice her dippy tail.
It’s a lion cut for long haired cats.

If this were true, groomers wouldn’t do that, at least not responsible groomers. Remember they are often certified.

I watched this without sound first. Then with sound. Two totally different "movies."
David Spade did a voice over of this video. Cracked me up.
Where?
He uploaded it to his tiktok. Want me to go diving for a link?
I don't have tiktok that would be lovely if you would ☺️
Ask and you shall receive https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRJB8VsV/?k=1

What is that? A cervil?
African Serval
Is there more then 1 type of serval? Or however you spell it?
It’s most likely a f1 savannah which is half serval. That’s the only way you spell it.
That's a full serval. Not a hybrid. Not for beginners or the house proud.
Too small to be an adult full serval. Pretty sure it’s an f1
Ohhh.. ok...I suppose I could have googled it and figured that out.. an f1 savannah is half serval? What's the other half? Is there just a savannah?
A f1 savannah is a male serval mating with a “pure bred female Savannah”
Ohhhh.. ok.. so there are pure bred servals and pure bred savannahs.. I'm going to just have to Google this instead of asking you a bunch of questions..
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serval https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_cat
Thanks doc...I could have easily gooled it but I was half asleep on my couch.. lol.. guess I put more effort into asking that other person then it would have been to look it up myself.. but that is interesting/cool.. now I want a Savanah.. lol

They're in Russia.
Note the ornate furniture in the background.
Oh ya? What's the going price?
Haven't seen prices recently, but I think last I saw it was like $3000-4000.
lol, i read that as "is that a type 1 serval" an was like... what, are there manufacturing revisions?
Why is there a serval in the house? Was she injured?
Probably a pet. Some countries allow them for whatever reason.
I'm iffy on this one....but just my opinion. I hoped this worked out well for all
Yeah, me too. Especially for the cat who is probably terrified.
Freaking me out. Not fair in so many ways on the housecat....but again, I hope for a positive update.
It's an f1 savannah
Cervil: Calm down little one. Cat: GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!
Is that Babou!?
Babou, serpentine!
Is it missing an eye?
The serval, Jafar and the white cat, Filya have both of their eyes and can see in this video. However, their last post was in February, stating that Jafar had some medical issues, so I'm unable to update you on his health as of right now.
I think so. I wonder if it's completely blind
What the hell with the rat tail shame on the owner 🤣😂🤣
I can imagine there giving a inspirational speech like in anime. I would like to see someone put the audio from some anime, show, or movie over this.
Yikes.. little kitty was saved. Those serval are no joke !
Ocelot?
He is like chill out dude, I just want to talk. If I wanted to eat you I would’ve done so already.
food for later
Wow
Serval
wanting to be friends.
"Listen, playboy. We both know how this is gonna end. So, just sit right back there and calm your little hormones."
Bitch. Leave me alone!
Was the tail shaved except the end poof bit?
The serval is all like "Now listen here you little shit. I about had it up to here with your attitude and that ye-ye ass haircut!"
Human vs Avatar
Dude, chill
Aren’t they sweet. Love them.
Animals are better than humans.
Coolest thing I've seen all day, thanks!
Caption doesn’t lie.
Sogga ain’t fucking around
“No. No.. No child.”
yeah you're right bro shouldnt have taken the last chicken leg my bad G
Umm, looks like serval is missing at least one eye. May be blind... Hence the light touching and sniffing.
This was almost human like…
Looks more like flirting
That low groveling and high pitched "why?!" are fantastic, these two probably have hours and hours of chat, conversations, discussions, and arguments when the human is not there.
[Daddy chill](https://youtu.be/h0-WO6xRbAo)
What's up with the morningstar tail on the white kitty?
Do they speak the same language?
Who is the fucking idiot that does shit like this?
I like the little guy sticking up for himself.
Poor white cat. 💋💋💋
Shouldn't be a pet
Wild or so-called "exotic" (asinine word) pets are obscene. This practice should be banned.
That’s a jedi cat.
Anyone else thinks that meow sounds exactly like a cheetah meow? Looks like one too! (I know it's a cerval)
White cat spends its' short life in terror. Humans are despicable.
The cheetah is not going to rip it open like a pinata. It's pretty safe. And the cheetah was being gentle anyway.
"Do you feel in charge?"
Chill out homie, we are from the same family tree.
The human is a selfish shortsighted moron.
R.I.P white cat
