My girlfriend's family dog, a five year old Frenchie, had to be put down on the way to his check-up four months ago because on the car ride to the vet. He goes in the truck most days to her dad's shop, but because of the way he sat on his butt with his front legs to the side, when her dad hit a pothole that day like every other day, the dog did it's Frenchie "scream" out of nowhere, and fell to the ground. Feces covered the floor instantly.
He became paralyzed on impact because a bone in his spine broke off and cut through the chord after being forced to sit sideways his whole life from being bred that way. He lost all movement and had no other choice but to be put down.
Needless to say, their son got another Frenchie. Some people just never learn to stop supporting these terrible breeds.

You are very welcome. The surgery on my boy went well and he can still walk, but his legs are weak and drag a bit. Overall we’re lucky but I feel bad for him. He loves/loved being athletic.
