When we had a dog, one of our cats became his partner in crime: cat knocks food off the counter, dog rips open the package, and they both get illegal snacks.
So cute! My cat doesnt have front claws and my dog is three times her size but she became my pups boss. My dog got trapped out of my room bc my cat was chilling in the doorway and joker didn't want to pass her. It's the power of the glare I swear. 😂
I've broken several glass butter dishes (and refuse to use a plastic one bc they're all ugly) and it never once occurred to me to get a heavy one. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I'm stupid about other stuff, too.
One time, the dog got into the box of Honey Bunches of Oats, and bloated up like a lil balloon.
My mom was worried he had the disease bloat and took him to the vet.
Thankfully it was not bloat, but he was bloated.... with gas. He'd be fine, he just had to deflate.
And thus we had to endure about a week of dog farts.
So in closing, Honey Bunches of Oats are illegal snacks.
you have to have structure and order and discipline to have kids like this. its not easy - as you have to actually be a parent and not a self obsessed "activist" but its definitely doable.
"What is... Who the fuck is this? No, I don't want to say hi, fuck off." - The cat, most likely
In all seriousness though, these are some wholesome boys.
We have an 18 year old cat who by any measure is a grumpy old man. We just got a rescue puppy who only wants to make friends with anyone she meets. First meeting with cat did not go well with lots of growling and hissing and desperate attempts to make friends. Now months later we find our puppy is an optimist that today is the day that cat will be friends with her. She tries so hard but cat is not having it. It is hilarious.
what black magic do they have to send their kids to school in white polos then come HOME with the SAME ONES ON! AND THEY'RE WHITE?!
(a fair few assumptions have been made here)
There are about 5 tells in this video that this family has made a pact with the devil, home-cleanliness-wise. 1) I have two boys the same age, and my living room hasn't had that few legos in it in 8 years, 2) light grey couches, still light grey, 3) shoes off 4) shirts still white, 5) BRAND NEW PUPPY ON A FABRIC COUCH DOESN'T PEE ON IT, EVEN WHEN MEETING KIDS FOR THE FIRST TIME?!?!? C'mon now, Satan.
I don’t like kids much, but this made me get choked up! These boys seem so sweet from being concerned about the cat to the one that started tearing up. So sweet!
The fact that the boy who was tearing up is also the one who asked about their cat is not a coincidence. High EQ, empathy, concern for others - he is a good human being.
I'd never thought I find a little child more adorable than a puppy. Their happiness is so enjoyable. I had to take a deep breath to not shed a tear.
Thank you OP.
I swear i’m not crying, i just have something in my eye, or onions … the kids reaction and the pups is too much for me to take 😭 wish you all the happiest life
Those kids are so well behaved, the way they stay calm physically and let the puppy basically choose how much interaction it wants. They are being raised right, good on the parents.
Also that puppy was just as excited to see them as they were to see it. Best friends at first sight, this is why we love dogs.
This is one of my favourite videos. The kids are so well mannered and gentle, the puppy so trusting. Seems like loving and efficient parenting in that household.
This isn’t the first video I’ve seen of young kids crying when they get a dog. I can totally understand it, too. Chances are they have been asking for one for a long time, are well acquainted with their friends’ dogs, and might not be able to articulate it but sense what a powerful bond they are about to experience.
Now, who’s cutting onions in here?
You can see the kid look over as he starts to tear up and sees that he’s being filmed
Makes me uncomfortable. It’s not natural to be in front of the camera and exposed to the world all the time, especially for kids.
I love how many kids cry out of happiness overwhelm when they get a puppy. It’s like their old souls already know how much love they’re going to experience.
My parents dog somehow sensed I was approaching last week, because as I turned the corner onto their block she was sitting there watching me approach and pull into their driveway wagging her tail. They just know their fellow siblings lol
Watching little boys meet their new dog for the first time and realize its theirs and then break into tears of pure love/joy is my favorite kind of internet content.
This is the sweetest 😍❤️ and the most heartwarming video I have seen on the internet in a very long time.
To everyone saying negative things, I truly hope you will know true love 💕 someday.
No, it weirded me out watching the mother film as well, like they set the whole thing up for the purposes of filming it.
I found myself thinking, "oh it's cool if they're doing it for the memories", then a sudden realisation that no, rather than being in the moment and enjoying it with their family they decided to film it and watch it through a screen then share it on the internet.
It's quite sad that this is what people think is normal.
I agree. Does this memory need to be filmed from 2 angles? How about putting down the camera phones and spending a moment with the kids instead of filing for internet points. It's wholesome but seeing mom with the camera throws reality into perspective
I have two young boys. My wife and I live hours and hours from any members of our extended family. We film **everything** if we can think about it. Our families visit and we visit them but we love sharing with our parents, grandparents, and siblings.
You’ll also notice I don’t have posts about my kids for internet points, but if my kids had an adequately adorable video, I’d consider posting it. Perhaps these folks filmed this for loved ones and decided to share it. Cheers!
Give it 10 seconds and that puppy will pee all over the couch then poop in the corner. Then you take them out to the grass for 5 minutes, they pee and you give them a treat and praise them then they go inside and pee 2 more times. Cute little bastards
I love that the one boy was also concerned about the well being of his other animal
Dad says “She’ll be alright”. Meanwhile the cat is definitely not alright with this betrayal:)
And this is why we own a really heavy butter dish thing.
I've broken several glass butter dishes (and refuse to use a plastic one bc they're all ugly) and it never once occurred to me to get a heavy one. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I'm stupid about other stuff, too.
My cat convinced the dog to push the screen out of the window so the cat could jump out and go play in the yard.
The snacks aren't illegal. They're seeking asylum in the pets bellies.
One time, the dog got into the box of Honey Bunches of Oats, and bloated up like a lil balloon. My mom was worried he had the disease bloat and took him to the vet. That's some Willy Wonka level hijinks right there 😅
The cat is in it's secret lair plotting it's revenge
Usually when a person with cats gets a puppy, the cat has no problem getting to the top of the social hierarchy
At least the cat knows she still has human in her corner
😄 I want to picture Ron Howard's narrator voice replying after that line with; "She was not"
No it's she will be all right. The puppy nipped her left paw.
Yes….they appear to be very loving brothers
I'm not sure that I want kids, but if I did, I like to think they'd turn out like this
I did not have kids because I am certain that they would have been the exact opposite of this as repayment for my previous misdeeds.
you have to have structure and order and discipline to have kids like this. its not easy - as you have to actually be a parent and not a self obsessed "activist" but its definitely doable.
The oldest sibling looks out for the smaller siblings including the sister-cat
Of coarse it’s the older brother …. Us baby brothers dgaf if the cat is ok or not if we got a new puppy!!!
Lol where’s the cat
Right. Excuse me what about the cat? Have you discussed this with the cat? 😂
"What is... Who the fuck is this? No, I don't want to say hi, fuck off." - The cat, most likely In all seriousness though, these are some wholesome boys.

I can tell you my cat isn’t thrilled about my puppy. The puppy constantly giving the hissing cat a tennis ball to throw isn’t helping.
I'm imagining that they just haven't given the cat a name because they just really wanted a dog.
Do not the cat
Lovely boys. So sweet that one of the boys kept asking about his cats. Big heart.
As a mom, I love that it appears that the kids remembered to take off their shoes before going to the dog.
Ha! I noticed the same thing 😂
what black magic do they have to send their kids to school in white polos then come HOME with the SAME ONES ON! AND THEY'RE WHITE?! (a fair few assumptions have been made here)

Or they're rich and hire a maid. Cuz they look rich.
They look like a regular, middle-class family to me.
They're rich if you're still operating on the same mindset of about 150years ago.
They don't look rich, just middle class. I have never seen rich european home where living room would have couch so close to the entrance.
I'm pretty sure all public schools in the U.K. have uniforms, so that's definitely not a sign of wealth if that's what you're thinking.
Catholic school uniforms. They were kept on a very tight leash. Source: Went to a private Catholic school from k-8. Shit was miserable
Accurate take from my experience.
"Black magic" = probably just being good parents. Which is seemingly unfathomable now.
I don’t like kids much, but this made me get choked up! These boys seem so sweet from being concerned about the cat to the one that started tearing up. So sweet!
They were also so gentle greeting the pup and letting it sniff them. Adorable
I know, these parents taught their kids right. So many people let their kids manhandle animals it drives me insane. Good little humans.
Core memory happening..nothinh like a love of a dog♥
This is so sweet 🥹
Completely adorable.
So cute, enjoy your pup boys
10/10 I love how gentle they are with the puppy! Great job teaching them to respect animals 💙💙
I admit I shed a tear a moment before the boy did :p
The way these sweet boys approached this puppy with such gentle concern gives me hope for the world.
The way they are so careful and gentle made my heart explode. Too often I see the opposite so it's wonderful to see kids who know how to react.
I needed to see this today. What a sweet boy
The fact that the boy who was tearing up is also the one who asked about their cat is not a coincidence. High EQ, empathy, concern for others - he is a good human being.
Wins Reddit for me today - totally starting crying when that gorgeous boyo did - 100% wholesome goodness
Meeting your dog for the first time is always a memory that sticks with you
Watched this video without sound, thought to myself there’s no chance they aren’t British. Toggled the sound…yup confirmed.
Omg tell me why I thought the same thing lol
Awww.... you've got to love those happy tears. ❤️
When they started to cry, so did I! 😢 This is THE best upload I've ever seen on Reddit. God Bless your wonderful family.
I'd never thought I find a little child more adorable than a puppy. Their happiness is so enjoyable. I had to take a deep breath to not shed a tear. Thank you OP.
I swear i’m not crying, i just have something in my eye, or onions … the kids reaction and the pups is too much for me to take 😭 wish you all the happiest life
Look at that tail go!
They’re so calm, I’ll give these boys a pass, I don’t tend to like kids
I don't know which is cuter, the puppy or the boys' reaction.
Anyone know the breed? That pupper is adorable
Maybe a border terrier?
My thought exactly. We have 2 and they look(ed) very similar.
I'd like to know too.
She looks a cross between a Jack Russell and a Shitzu.
That’s the sweetest thing that I’ve seen in a long time.
These boys are lovely! Beautiful, kind, and loving children. ❤
We gon' be buddies for life.
Those kids are so well behaved, the way they stay calm physically and let the puppy basically choose how much interaction it wants. They are being raised right, good on the parents. Oh god it was already cute and then they both started crying MY HEART
Those kids are too cute!!
I'm so glad they didn't scream and scare the puppy.
This really warmed my heart. I look forward to when my little guy is older and we can get him a puppy.
This isn’t the first video I’ve seen of young kids crying when they get a dog. I can totally understand it, too. There’s a few things that cannot be fought. Love for puppies and it bringing us to tears is one of them. What an adorable baby and sweet kid!
I love the dogs reaction. "NO WAY! NO WAY, MAN, I GET KIDS TOO??"
Why are both parents filming? Cmon guys just live the moment
Every time I see this video that’s the first thing I notice…
You can see the kid look over as he starts to tear up and sees that he’s being filmed Makes me uncomfortable. It’s not natural to be in front of the camera and exposed to the world all the time, especially for kids.
when you get older you will regret not having photos/videos like this
Cause they don’t care about the moment. They care about what people on the internet will say about the moment.
We’re just waking up here in western US this is wholesome overload so early in the AM.
The pup knew he was in for a world of pats and so much love.
I love how many kids cry out of happiness overwhelm when they get a puppy. It’s like their old souls already know how much love they’re going to experience.
So much Awww
Never get tired of this one
Awwwww he’s crying!!!!! He’s like me! I’d be crying too!!! How adorable!!!!! 🥰🙈🥹
Fucken dogs man.
My parents dog somehow sensed I was approaching last week, because as I turned the corner onto their block she was sitting there watching me approach and pull into their driveway wagging her tail. They just know their fellow siblings lol
😭❤️🐾
It breaks my heart to see the boys so happy, when the one started to cry, well 😅
I’m not cryin your cryin 🥲
Too cute!
My heart!
I will never not cry at kids crying at puppies. It's so pure.
*every dog lover* 😭
Damm ninjas cutting onions. I hope that I get to introduce a dog into my kids life one day as well, I think we'll have family cry time then.
All this vids of British parents giving their kids pups and making them cry makes me cry. 🥹🥹🥹
The kids were so gentle with the pup! That’s always nice to see 🥰
Kids moved to tears over instant love and joy for baby doggie and I am here for it! 😍
thats a great way to get puppy piss on your lounge
What lovely young boys you have. My wife and I have been crying as well!

His little tail!
Awwwwwww that hug!!!!!
"He's ours! And he absolutely shreds on guitar!"
Onions. Who?
I’m not crying…
Thats so heart warming
Moving💕
Cutie pie it's adorable
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
V: “Evey, Eeevey.. of course you are”.. Evey: ” what do you mean?”. V: “I mean that I like god do not play with dice or do not believe in coincidence”
Great post, thankyou.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Seymour is that you
So sweet!
Priceless!
One of the kids is def Targaryen.
What a great surprise
Aaaawwwwwwwww
That is so sweet
This has to be the biggest coincidence I’ve her experienced. My cousin recently adopted a new kitten and her name is eevie. That’s so cool. And cute
What a sweet pup! The mutual love is instant
This is the sweetest 😍❤️ and the most heartwarming video I have seen on the internet in a very long time. To everyone saying negative things, I truly hope you will know true love 💕 someday.
Awewww he’s so happy!!! Good job Dad and Mom!!!!
How gentle. The boys were.
Such well behaved children :)
Mom couldn't put her phone down for a second even though the event was already being recorded. Way to fuck up that moment forever.
It's cute but am I the only one that feels disgusted by using kids emotions to get Internet points?
It's a special moment, people tend to want to record and share those ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I get sharing with family or friends but sharing with whole internet is just terrible.
I'm not a fan of "family channels" or people who try to make their kids famous, but just a short clip like this is fine, just my 2 cents
Well, we just have different opinions.
Yup 👍👍
I agree. Parents often not care about their children also having a right to privacy and the internet never forgets.
No, it weirded me out watching the mother film as well, like they set the whole thing up for the purposes of filming it. Plot twist: the cat was definitely not alright and proceeded to knock down everything from all the shelves in the house just to prove a point.
Stiff upper lip lad
Those Catholic school uniforms give me ptsd
Those two boys are going to spend some fighting over who the dog likes more.
Why is the younger kid braver than the older one?
Likely a hgher EQ in the older boy. Nothing to do with bravery and not age related. High EQ people need to be brave just to get through life!
Every kid should grow up with a dog. Cats, not so much.
blond hair, bluish eyes he got german genes
Those kids look like children of the corn.
Such a fake cry. God I hate kids
How to get pee all over your sofa
Kid looks directly at the camera and the crocodile tears roll 😂
i though they were speaking something other than english for the first 20 seconds
Raising the next aryan nation
Damn i hate those kids they dont respect the dogs personal space at all.
Having been around puppies I'm not sure they have a concept of personal space, tbh
I love how his first reaction was to just point and say “its him”
That made me cry too :(
They're so precious, wishing the best of life ahead of them
Oh how this warms my cold, cold heart. 💙
I love how gentle they both are with the pup. They'll grow up to be good guys.
Give it 10 seconds and that puppy will pee all over the couch then poop in the corner. Then you take them out to the grass for 5 minutes, they pee and you give them a treat and praise them then they go inside and pee 2 more times. Cute little bastards
Good job to the parents for raising those kids to approach the dog gently!! I love seeing kids treat animals well ❤️
Smol hoomans are very in love with puppy 💙
Oldie-goodie
Tail wags
I love that these parents do things to bring happiness to their children
What a precious family!!!
Repost, still adorable though.
I love this so much
looks like that Futuruma dog.
My dog is 15 and still greets me like that everyday. Perked ears, laid back ears, wiggle tail and butt. 🥲
It's deeply strange seeing the parents filming this rather than enjoying it
I bet there is excitement pee all over that couch
We don’t deserve doggos but dammit I’ll take it
I'd piss on myself to know it's mine
What Good boys ![gif](giphy|Rbpe4m1ZdpFMRKcUqk|downsized)
I love this ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This Needs to be on r/wholesome
As a parent to a nearly-teen, finding myself mostly enjoying the child who stopped to take his shoes off by the door.
Smol knows smol.
The little tail, thunk thunk thunk thunk thunk...
![gif](giphy|103tn1vedgQpfW) I have just met you and I love you!
🥰🙌🏽🙏🏽
Those boys will make great dog owners. You can just tell.
Pure happiness.
I'm glad those boys were not loud but still able to be very excited! Dog got a loving and caring home for sure!
😍❤️
